This video is kinda like comparing laptops and desktop PCs of a similar price range. Both have their pros and cons...but its not an apples to apples comparison
A lot of people complaining about the accuracy of the 4R36 movement. Sometimes i think it is better to go for a quartz rather than a inaccurate movement, especially if you wear only one watch most of the time and you are tired of constantly adjusting the time every other day.
@ Yeah got my first watch for 2025 is a PROSPEX ALPINIST SBDC091 / SPB121J1 with UncleStrap Rice Bracelet. Love the caliber on it, 70 hour power reserve. Think I’ll stick with the higher end calibers on Seiko watches, sure they will cost more. When it comes to quartz, I like Bulova Precisionist movements, seconds hand very smooth.
Beautiful watch, beautiful dial, and this is a watch that first came on my radar a few weeks ago and keeps tempting me! Does the 30 minute counter keep going after 30 minutes?
For a watch that it's main purpose is to be worn everyday day, i guess you will get tired of the +\- 25 sec per day you get from the entry level seiko mechanical movement
@@timepieceofart Mechanical movements are like classic cars. Quartz movements are like electric cars. One has personality, the other has accuracy. Quartz watches that look hyper modern, like Casio for example have their place in the hobby. Quartz watches that look like classic watches but have quartz movements, are to me basically almost as bad as cheap homages.
I don't see what i made up, it offers sapphire crystal, 300 m WR, reliable movement, all of that is lacking in a entry level prospex model. And it is almost the same price

Last Seiko 5 Sport that I got had bad beat error of 1.6.

what about lume?
There is a shot of the lume at 2:50 mark. It is pretty decent blue Superluminova

Honestly it is a wonderful watch, the dial is perfect. I haven't tested the chronograph after 30 minutes, i think it stops at 30. I will check.
Tired of Budget Seiko's Shortcuts? This Tissot Offers Everything You Need, except a mechanical movement. There, I fixed it for you.

Sounds like you're making up a whole lot of nonsense to promote this watch. Just because it's swiss made doesn't mean it's better.

Quartz .. just get a G-Shock. Thats a real tool watch, water watch, space watch, sports watch etc etc etc
Shit looks ugly 😂
I think the Seastar 1000 is much more versatile watch than a G-Shock
This Tissot movement would be better if the movement were mechaquartz. It would hit every box I want from diver's chrono.
Smells like a paid review
Nah, i am too small for that :) It is an honest opinion, i genuinely like the look and feel of the watch.
This watch is honestly a mess it doesn't know what it is !!
Why do you think so, in my opinion is a relatively cheap alternative to the average Japanese automatic divers.
@timepieceofart it's part dive watch/part chronograph but it just doesn't work in my opinion sorry 😐
This is a big piece of crap!
Why?
I think that is a bit to harsh :)
