That's another idea for a video: two twin managers - one with rubbish reputation but great attributes, second - great rep but rubbish att. And check which one does better in 40+ years
Challenge idea: you always manage the Team that plays against a certain Team (For example Tottenham) and try to make the other Team lose as many games as possible
I've been watching your videos to practice English, as a Brazilian I really like football and your videos always caught my attention, but this one was different, I was really fascinated with stroytelling and I would really like the idea to become a series on the channel. Hugs from Brazil, stay well and stay healthy
Love this experiment. Could we start him off in a "good" or "great" club in a country with lesser reputation, to give him a chance to accomplish winning a league earlier in his career? Also make sure that the important manager traits stay 20/20?
Here's an idea: Create the best backroom staff you can get, place them in a National League N/S club, and see how long it takes them to win a Champions League? Alternatively, create the best backroom staff, and just see where their careers go.
This is something that I'm working on in my new custom database edits, having issues with creating league now, some problems with rules (non-EU members limit is broken after 2 seasons, no clue why). And yes, it is for my tests, include all the best ex-Yugoslavia clubs, but with team stats updated like more cash, best players which went trough academy or played in last 5 years, some teams got new stadiums (or temporary ones for UCL/UEL/UECL matches like returning NK Rijeka back to "new Kantrida stadium" which is in planning or "new Maksimir", which is also in planning, for GNK Dinamo and NK Lokomotiva Zagreb), some are moved to new built stadiums like NK Osijek to "Pampas Stadium" which is IRL in final states of building before moving there at start of next season before IRL dates. If it all goes to plan, will release it to public with next FM update, and by then it will work fine with league (hope so, edits of club finances, stadiums and players is easy, really, league edits made me angry as all swear word broke loose)
A couple of things spring to mind: the loyalty and ambition stats play into a manager's choice (thinking about his start) AND the hidden temperament stats; professionalism, temperament, sportsmanship etc. If you went for "default" stats, I would guess those would end up at flat 10 on all of those. I've done some experimenting myself, hiring staff as coaches/assistants with high ability stats, giving them all the courses and seeing them picked up by other clubs as managers (some are ex-pros with high reputations which help with catching the eye of clubs) A lot of the time they do well for themselves, but it seems to me that managers/staff with lousy temperament that makes a lot of noise, do poorly, which makes sense. I myself really like to have very good players with low ambition at my club (I tend to play underdogs), since they tend to bitch less about moving to "bigger"(higher paying) clubs.
This guy really doesn't appreciate how difficult it is to win trophies. Unless you're at the big club (e.g. Inter - where he won it in his first year), winning silverware is very hard!
The Liverpool players probably turned round after he ranted at them and quipped back "You spent 7 years at Inter and only won one trophy, your shit mate."
As seen with Sheffield Wednesday here I’ve noticed that some Ai teams get relegated from the championship retain most of their team and then struggle and end up getting relegated again to league 2 and even sometimes the national league. Preston got relegated in season 1 on my Celtic save retained most of their team didn’t get promoted from the playoffs season 2 and then got relegated to league 2 in season 3 it’s like momentum has massive effects on the Ai
Idea: To compare two managers. The first manager with all attributes equal to 1, but with a favorite cheat tactic (for example any tactic from Fmscout). The second manager with all the attributes of 20, but with the usual tactics. Who will be more successful?
This obviously means stats alone are the KEY 🗝 to success... By the, What was his hidden attributes looking like... I mean professionalism, pressure, business, resources, hardness in training etc... Nice Video TOM...👍🏼
I love these long term simulation videos. I’m wondering if you could do a video where you give a tiny league outside of Europe a lot of money like in South East Asia or the Caribbean. I don’t know it’s possible but I think it would be funny
how about series pick a starting club and when loose a match switch clubs and keep doing that and see where you end up at the end of the season or beyond.
Great video! Could we maybe see a 50-year sim between Mike Bassett starting at the lowest ranked team in the World vs the World's worst manager (1's for everything) starting at Man City? Maybe also an average manager (10's) starting at an "average" club?
As my grandpa would say to the liverpool players "De jeugd van tegenwoordig... Vroeger was alles beter!" Really fun rollercoaster this video was! Ty tom very cool!
You could create the world’s best player manager, best player and manager stats as an 18 year old and see where his playing and then management career takes him
i wish you could give managers a OP Tactic and then set them of on there journey, but i dont think thats possible, Tactics make the manager not the Stats
Hello Tom, I have an idea for an experiment. You create a Wonderkid Striker and leave it as a free transfer. As soon as his club loses in a knockout game he has to transfer to this club for the next season. According to the motto "If you can't beat them, join them".
How many managers that start out so low in the game get a shot at the Premier League or any major top flight league? Can't be many. With the exceptional abilities it is how I would expect the career to go based on results.
Do a video locking the worlds best staff at one club. Manger HOYD DoF Physios Scouts Sports scientists ect ect Lock them all at one club so they can’t leave and see how they do. 20/30 staff members all at one club with 20s everything
Just curious, did you just boost his stats to 20 and started or did you do something specific at the start of this? Would like to try this myself honestly.
Hey quick feedback: I personally dislike the jiggling movement when you showed the table. Made ich hard for me to Fokus. Maybe I'm alone with that but just wanted to give some input. Keep up the great work
Try a game where you nuked the reputation of a club. Like Tottenham. See how the players react, if the club relegates and see how long it takes for them to regain their former glory.
Attributes could've been distributed a tad better, so that the 200/200 cap doesn't start dropping in such matter, which is why he prolly lost the confidence of the players at Liverpool. He had pretty low Motivation (11). I wouldn't "spend" points on things that are irrelevant to a manager. Like GK Coaching.
I liked this video, but, I noticed that his stats diminished over time. I think you should do this again but freeze his attributes and see how well he does
AI doesn't care about attributes all that much, reputation plays biggest role. That's the main reason why your coaches/assistants always offer garbage staff members in monthly meetings. Your team can have really good staff (like 12-15 range in lower leagues) and staff recommends staff with 6-10 range just because their reputation is like 2-3 star instead of your 1-2 star guys. It's also reason why some top teams can have utter shit staff members. It also affects other way too, your team can be in Championship league, but staff from league 2 don't want to transfer to you because your teams reputation is lower than the league 2 team they currently are in. It's one of those things that irks me in this game quite bit.
@@TomFM He actually moved quite regularly, often leaving a club after less than 2 years in the job for the higher division. I had done an experiment tracking 10 managers and one of them with 20 loyalty just sat at chelsea for 15 years and won 0 pl still never get sacked

Great managers like this should be getting the maximum out of their team in most seasons and overperforming in lower leagues especially. Highly rated DOF and TD should be signing great players with the odd dud and then always good staff for the TD. Would open up some more scenario based saves where the DOF signs all the players for example
