I don't understand a damn word in this song, but not only that I love how Ronstadt sings it, but enjoy watching the members of her band join in playing the music and dancing with a very strong sense of pride.
And you wonder why many consider Linda Ronstadt the greatest, most diverse female vocalist of her generation. And, this is a live performance. Amazing!

I'm not Mexican, but I've been a fan of mariachi for a long time and the way Linda Ronstadt sings provides the reason why it went from liking mariachi to LOVING it.
Linda's performance is electrifying. Clear as a bell, powerful, joyous, and seemingly effortless. Great singers are to be treasured, and thanked profusely for their generosity in sharing their gifts with all of us.
I live in Mexico and never knew that Linda had Mexican roots. How incredibly versatile she was -- country, pop, operetta, opera, and mariachi! Thank you, Fil, for highlighting her incredible talent (and yours!).

I saw this tour concert in Chicago alot of people got money back they thought it was an English concert( Songs of my father ) or Cociones de mi padre in Spanish .Her father is mex.german decent.
Yes, yes yes, our Linda! She can do everything because she is passionate, and her Latin blood..;-) well let’s just say she’s not afraid to show her passion.
Wow!!!! Just wow!!!! What a powerful voice!!!! A strong intelligent, beautiful woman ❤ I was devastated to hear of her illness that took this beautiful voice away💔

Linda you have the most beautiful voice I've ever heard !!! no other singer can match your powerful voice and range ! I get a lump in my throat when you sing and makes me proud to be Hispanic
Only one thing left to do in life Linda: record a German language album. Oops too late...the voice is gone. Such a pity....no doubt this legend would have kicked ass in Deutsch also! Love you Linda! This Spanish language Mariachi ballad here is exquisite!!! You are the greatest.
I came to watch this because of the new movie about Linda. I'm not familiar with Mexican music. However, I can hear. My ears loved that! God has truly blessed any female who can sing that song better.
Wow oh Wow! What a voice, what power, what a talent! Linda could sing absolutely anything. Thank God we can all enjoy the recordings and the videos of her.
I remember listening to this song when I was little. It was on my Sesame Street Fiesta dvd. I never knew it was Linda Ronstadt singing until this year. So this brings back some pretty good memories. :)
I don't know Spanish but I admire this song. I learned about it in my mariachi class and enjoy playing it and now this is the first song I'm learning to sing in my singing class. Her vocals are just amazing and inspiring :)
I have fond memories of summer vacations, driving with my dad down to see my grandparents down in Baja, listening to Canciones de mi Padre along the way, and this track was always one of my favorites/
Have loved Linda since we were overseas in the late 60s. This is absolutelly beautiful. I can feel the warmth and family in this music. And amazingly, she doesn't look like she's even breathing.
Whenever I am feeling down in the dumps or missing my Nana & Tata (Spanish for grandparents) I come here to listen to Linda’s voice & it transports me back in time. So wrong & powerful & pure. She is truly one of the greatest singers of all time. 🇲🇽🕊
Lo más impresionante de esta cantante, es que cuando grabó este disco no hablaba casi nada o nada de español y el mariachi Vargas quedó muy impresionado con su dicción y tremenda voz.
Of course I love Linda's remarkable voice, singing and all of her musical choices. Besides holding those incredible notes, this song brings to remembrance Disney's "Three Cabelleros" cartoon I watched with my children when they were little. I still like to watch the song Donald duck sings, it cracks me up.
If my fathe had heard this, she would have been his favorite singer, after my mother. Our love of a culture can bring us together. Displaying each of our birth's, life and how we commemorate our souls. A celebration of eachother and how we live our live's through the people's land. What's best, we should rejoice, triumphant voices but some sad songs. If we celebrate each other, we can understand the best of what we have to offer. Is it music or dancing, painting or writing. Something internal that we have to share with eachother. A union instead of disruption. Heart instead hands or fists.
