I played this song in Mariachi when I was in 5th grade, and I agree.
I'm not even Mexican and I feel some weird kind of secondhand pride in these youth right now. Look how they represent their heritage, their passion and love of their culture, their beautiful people and country (countries?) and it's rich complex history. I can almost feel their ancestors pride. Absolutely beautiful.

How can you not like Mariachi music? The energy, and the sound of it just makes even a non-Mexican (me) want to give up all other types of music for it.
Real music, real musicians, no auto-tuners. This also goes for other types, rock, real rap, classical, jazz, country, etc. Man this is good. Young people in touch with their culture and talent.

This is coming from someone that loves this music and explores every music genre that you listed... but why do we always compared every single musical talent out there to rap? And then, when we try to show some respect to pioneers in the rap game, we always make the distinction of 'real rap'. It's so CRINGE. I am a 23 year old Mexican-American male that never really identified at all with his ethnicity and watching this had me in tears by the end of it, never before had i felt such an intense sense of pride in my heritage. The food, the culture, the flavored version of the Spanish language, the music, the importance of family, all this and so much more.
I came here to listen to Mariachi. Clearly, this is a spectacular performance. I listened three times and wanted more.
How stunned I was was find out these are high-school students! Unbelievable.
And from a high school in my home town of Stockton, CA. I couldn't be more proud of these talented young people.

I dance ballet folklorico, and I have for 17 yrs, and I can definitely say that every time I hear this song I always get a sense of chills throughout my body, especially when each group of instruments is able to present its sound and what it contributes to the song overall. This is probably my favorite portrayal of this song right now. ¡VIVA!

El mariachi Vargas ha sido el principal exponente de esta invaluable obra musical!, que para mi representa la maxima expresion sinfonica de la musica Mexicana de mariachi. Pero sin duda, estos jovenes talentosos lo han interpretado magistralmente.. No he encontrado otro video que supere en calidad de interpretacion y grabacion a este!. Mis mas sinceras felicitaciones!!. Solo y como comentario, esta obra maestra requiere de un cantante principal (Mujer u Hombre) que pueda lograr interprertarla con falsete, pero sin duda, quienes aqui cantaron, lo hicieron con todo el corazon y alma!!.
