Hi. I love this video. I heard you at the beginning talking about masks from a SVG file from Wild Whisper. I bought this and cannot convert it using my sdx135 scan n cut. Could you explain plse. The file sold was jpg, png and dxt. Image tracing doesn’t work so far. Thk you
Hi Barbara, I'm sorry that you're having trouble with the file. I ended up having to convert it to an .svg on my end before adding it into my Brother ScanNCut. Send me an email from my contact form at hopalongstudio.com and I'd be more than happy to help you get this problem sorted out!

Which Brother machine model did you get? I looked on their website but was overwhelmed with options.
It's the Brother Scan n Cut SDX125. I've been really happy with how it's been working so far.
Can this be done using stencils instead of the masks?
Absolutely! I haven't tried it myself, but there's no reason why it shouldn't work. Acrylic paint through a stencil should resist the Pan Pastel and still give you a nice outline. If you want some more dimension, I would try using a gel or paste medium and mix it with paint before applying it through the stencil.
