As a person, it is so satisfying to see the sanding job done... As a physiotherapist GUYS, PLEASE WATCH AND PROTECT YOUR BACK MORE! Those machines on the first day gave me chills...
Label your videos with ASMR and they will blow up. Came here for the information, also got a soothing video. Just a good as the carpet cleaning videos but more interesting
Only use sawdust and glue up to 3mm gaps. Otherwise, use wood slivers. resin is known to crack and fall through as the wood moves through temp and humidity changes!
very nice job..what was the thought process behind the decision to sand it with the grain instead diagonally?i ask because the floor is so smooth despite
Cheers mate. Some floors we sand diagonally and some we don’t - it mostly depends how flat and level it is to begin with. This one was really flat so we can sand with the grain and then give it a really good buff to get it smooth 👌🏻
I love wood flooring, and I didn't know that you can lighten them up like that, but can you do the opposite and darken them up as well...Damm gud job on the floor 👏🏿 love it 👍🏿...
Love this video. I just sanded my entire first floor and purchased Bona Nordic, in the states. I wasn’t planning on putting a primer down. Just doing one coat Nordic and then two of matte sealer. Do you highly recommend doing a primer first?
Hey man, lovely job. Im jelous of your galaxy, it looks wayyyy faster than my hummel. Just a suggestion, bunnings sell a paint applicator pad, made by monarch. I find the pad to be faster, i also get a better finish with it, on areas like the stairs and the facias.
Hey you guys are awesome! 👍Thanks to your video I decided to do my own floors and avoid paying 5k here in the States, I jave one question after applying the primer how many coats of nordic white do you apply? Thank you so Much 🙏
Amazing, so glad we could inspire you to do your own floors! You can apply as many coats of NordicWhite as you want until you get your desired level of ‘white’ but usually we do 2 coats 👍🏻
Cheers! Each floor is priced so differently and depends on finish used, repairs etc. Feel free to get in contact with us if you’re in Melbourne, Australia and need a quote 👍🏻
No this roller is great and made especially for this varnish, it’s called the Universal Roller by Berger-Seidle 👍🏻 you can find it in our supplies shop www.quicksandsupplies.com.au
So did you just do 1 round of the drum sander at 30 grit then used the orbital sander with grits 40-120 (i think i forgot) as a second round? Or was there more rounds that weren’t filmed?
Hey mate, so we went round twice with the drum sander - 1st round was 50grit and 2nd round was 80grit. Then we used the buffer for final sand using alternating discs (60g, 80g & 120g) 👍🏻
Yeah unfortunately the Bunnings machinery isn’t great.. we use the Galaxy floor sander and an American Sanders edger. You might have better luck at Kennards Hire.
Thank fuk you didnt have to repunch and fill nails..Pluck chook on a silver platter all good !! That Galaxy looks the business, they must have a good fan as there is no way I could get away with filling my Hummel dust bag that chockas... ✌️
I'm feeling more empowered to take on my job myself. Thanks for the great video.
All the best with your project! 💪🏻
You make this look easy. Excellent job. I'm doing this myself to our home and can tell y'all this ain't as easy as it looks!
Thanks mate! Definitely harder than it looks. Good luck with your project, let us know how it goes.
Exactly so, good work. More than 30 year of experience, greets from Finland.
Very calming and soothing to watch, thank you. now i'm thinking of white washing my unfinished white pine floors vs dark stain
So glad you enjoyed it!
Looks all riftsawn.. beautiful

Awesome! Brilliant work! Pure art.
Thanks mate!
hello aparat
Beautiful job!! Sanding sure is a tough job and you guys definitely did a nice job with it and applying a good sealer
Thanks mate! So worth it in the end!
That is a great floor sanding Machine
I'M EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THIS WORK.....AND IT'S NOT MY HOUSE.....
Beautiful job guys! Artistic!
Thank you! Cheers!
Try a 150 grit or even a 220 grit screen before your final coat, for a smoother last coat.
Label your videos with ASMR and they will blow up. Came here for the information, also got a soothing video. Just a good as the carpet cleaning videos but more interesting
Thanks so much for the feedback mate, definitely going to look into that!
How do you fill cracks between the boards from the floors shifting before you sand and finish?
Sawdust and wood glue
Only use sawdust and glue up to 3mm gaps. Otherwise, use wood slivers. resin is known to crack and fall through as the wood moves through temp and humidity changes!
One question on buffer why using 36-60-80???
Amazing to watch
That triangle sander though!!!!! ❤
Looks awesome ! 😍
A job well done guys beautiful work nice work sir s it look awesome 👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯 perfection
Cheers! Thank you 🙌🏻
Great video and awesome job!
Question, why did you use 3 different grit papers on the buffer?
Cheers! We find that it gives us the smoothest finish 👍🏻

Pretty good for amateurs
I love wood flooring, and I didn't know that you can lighten them up like that, but can you do the opposite and darken them up as well...Damm gud job on the floor 👏🏿 love it 👍🏿...
Thanks mate! Yes you can definitely use a stain on the floor to darken it up. The colour options are endless!
How was the dust- im assuming its a regular sanding machine right? Is it worth spending the extra money for dustless?
Love this video. I just sanded my entire first floor and purchased Bona Nordic, in the states. I wasn’t planning on putting a primer down. Just doing one coat Nordic and then two of matte sealer. Do you highly recommend doing a primer first?
A primer is not always necessary 👍🏻
Nice to see someone sanding in the right direction
What grid was used to remove what was in the floor?
Hey man, lovely job. Im jelous of your galaxy, it looks wayyyy faster than my hummel.
Just a suggestion, bunnings sell a paint applicator pad, made by monarch.
I find the pad to be faster, i also get a better finish with it, on areas like the stairs and the facias.
Cheers mate! The Galaxy is a beast 💪🏻 thanks for the tip will check it out 👌🏻
Consider walking faster with the drum sander, lines can be created in the wood . Nice work
Slick work lads. What did you charge the client?
Hey you guys are awesome! 👍Thanks to your video I decided to do my own floors and avoid paying 5k here in the States, I jave one question after applying the primer how many coats of nordic white do you apply?

I was going to try to do this job myself, but after watching the video I am so ready to hire some professionals to do it…
Hi Quicksanding, very nice job guys. How much is it cost to do 50m2 like that floor ?
Cheers! Each floor is priced so differently and depends on finish used, repairs etc. Feel free to get in contact with us if you’re in Melbourne, Australia and need a quote 👍🏻
Great job guys, what’s your opinion on the FG floortec edger, i’m thinking of getting one
Thanks mate. It’s an ok edger but not as quick as a super 7, works well on new timber and floors that are already flat.
FYI, Milwaukee has a smaller detail sander ( 2531) now instead of using the multitool
Good to know thanks mate will check it out!
No bubbles using the roller? What type of roller did you use?
No this roller is great and made especially for this varnish, it’s called the Universal Roller by Berger-Seidle 👍🏻 you can find it in our supplies shop www.quicksandsupplies.com.au
Beautiful . How does that brand hold up to loba ?
Thanks mate! Used Loba for over 10 years, until I found Berger-Seidle. Fantastic quality, made in Germany and better price point 👌🏻
Why no dusk masks? I'd be coughing my brains out after a few minutes of doing sanding.
Very nice work. I can watch Professionals all day. What kind of wood was the flooring?
Thanks mate! The floor was Tasmanian Oak which is an Australian hardwood 👍🏻
Absolutely beautiful. Thank You @@QuicksandFlooring

@@QuicksandFlooring Thanks man!
@@QuicksandFlooring Thanks! What grits did you use for the edge sander?
We used 40g for the edger and then moved on to 80g with the orbital :)
can you use a 120 grit square orbital for the "buffing"?
Yes it will do the job but will be a lot slower and take longer
Do you use the white scotch brite pad for buffing after each coat of poly?
No, we used a 120grit screen after 2nd coat 👍🏻
🤝🤝🙋🙋🤙🤙👏👏👏
How many times can you refinish a floor like this?
Probably around 5-8 times with a solid timber floor, but all depends on the timber and thickness 👍🏻
All depends on n the flooring u have and if it's been done before already or not
Very impressive but how do you remove groves and stop and stop marks left by the floor sander?
Your buffing machine will be your best friend for this! We use an American Sanders brand called Epoch.
@@QuicksandFlooring thank you for your reply much appreciated 👍
@@QuicksandFlooring what floor sander and edger do you recommend I'm stuck with bunning options.
Yeah unfortunately the Bunnings machinery isn’t great.. we use the Galaxy floor sander and an American Sanders edger. You might have better luck at Kennards Hire.
@@QuicksandFlooring ok that makes sense cheers.
Yall had to have sanded and put a quick finish on before filming.
I've never been called in to do a floor that level and with that little built up.
Dumb question. Why you used 3 different products,
Can you explain why ty.
No such thing as a dumb question mate! So first coat is a primer, second coat is the ‘white’ colour and third coat is a 2pak polyurethane 👍🏻
What I wanna know what do you feed ur legs with?????
Hard work and beer 😂
@@QuicksandFlooring I Loved the video but damn those calves and quads were blocking the whole floor..
How many coats of poly
Hey mate we put 3 coats down 👍🏻
Wfhy not put or speak grids size
Good morning kan u found des mochan for me, i wont bie
What sandpaper do you use and what number is it?
The sandpaper we use is by an Aussie brand called ‘ATS Abrasives’ and we started with 50grit, then 80grit and finally 120grit 👍🏻
thank you@@QuicksandFlooring
Where's the edger
Hacks😂😂
Supposed to go left to right
Porque no brilla tanto?
I intastad this work I have 10 years experience UAE can u give me Visa sir

I’ve noticed you don’t wear face masks ? Not having a moan up just curious.
