      Sawdust and wood glue

    • @bennorris6060
      @bennorris6060 5 місяців тому +1

      Only use sawdust and glue up to 3mm gaps. Otherwise, use wood slivers. resin is known to crack and fall through as the wood moves through temp and humidity changes!

    very nice job..what was the thought process behind the decision to sand it with the grain instead diagonally?i ask because the floor is so smooth despite

    • @QuicksandFlooring
      @QuicksandFlooring  26 днів тому

      Cheers mate. Some floors we sand diagonally and some we don’t - it mostly depends how flat and level it is to begin with. This one was really flat so we can sand with the grain and then give it a really good buff to get it smooth 👌🏻

    So did you just do 1 round of the drum sander at 30 grit then used the orbital sander with grits 40-120 (i think i forgot) as a second round? Or was there more rounds that weren’t filmed?

    • @QuicksandFlooring
      @QuicksandFlooring  Рік тому +3

      Hey mate, so we went round twice with the drum sander - 1st round was 50grit and 2nd round was 80grit. Then we used the buffer for final sand using alternating discs (60g, 80g & 120g) 👍🏻
