I really enjoy all my TFO rods. The TICRX was a great rod and I was upset when they discontinued it and replaced it with the Axiom. I really wanted my TICRX back! The Axiom is okay, but I have trouble casting larger flies anything more than 60'. To some that may not matter, to me blind casting for bass it does. The Axiom 2 X is a much better rod that I can cast as far and as accurately as my $1,000 rods. Very little difference in my honest opinion. I think some of the expensive rods to it slightly less effort and a bit more feel. But, at the end of the day I'm about catching fish and getting the job done. Being from Texas I like to support TFO and when my rods eventually break, they ship them back fairly fast from Dallas.
Great video man! I own both! The axiom ii x in a 7wt and the LK legacy in a 4wt. I live in Florida on the east coast and both are my loves.

Looking to do bass and redfish in a 7 weight. Need to have solid accuracy at the 40ish range for reds. Thanks for this video
@nordic anglers what line do you like best for the axiom2x for wading and casting small streamers for sea trout.
We would pair it with a Volantis line, from Scientific Anglers :)

How do you compare the Axiom II X vs theMangrove cost (both 8wt or 9wt) for big game? (i need to use 12-14 inches flies). Thanks! (and i love your reviews!)
They are both heavy lifters, regardless of the weight! You'll find that the mangrove is a more progressive action, compared to the more explosive action in the Ax II x ! Both of these rods will get the task done, it's all about your casting style :)
