Just bought the TFO LK Legacy in the 9 foot 5WT size for fishing larger western trout rivers and punching out hopper flies on windy days. Or any day for that matter.
Daniel do you know that you have already big fan club from Holland? At least two people Mark and my self!! You have a great review of the fly rods you represent, I always laugh a little in myself when you are going full enthusiasm in to the topic, and make small mistake like the mic you name above. To be honestly that makes you an easy accessible guy. I' am always looking forward to see you new videos! Continue does videos!! Hopefully I can visit you next spring at your shop and try the Scott centric. kind regards, Timo
The NRX guides are referred to as “recoils” in English. Most of us don’t really like em, either. I’m pretty sure their main purpose is weight reduction. I mean, it is what it is…they’re not BAD per se, I just prefer torzite guides. In use, the difference between my NRX and conquest/legend x/etc. never really feels like it comes down to the guides but if I had a choice, I’d rather just drop the extra couple hundred and go with torzite.
Nice vid as always. Daniël,...what do you think about the Lamson cobalt fly rod? I'm still don't know what to buy,...T&T zone - Lamson cobalt - Orvis salts. All for a 7#. can you give me any advice? Greetings from The Netherlands and tight lines
I had one Aximo-2,9’5wt,it has a fighting butt which is so rarely in the 5wt rods. It is so strong, almost twice the diameter of my 3wt rods.I used it only for single hand spey cast, roll cast 50feet very easily, and a beginner like me ,single spey 70feet without any problem.
Great comparison well done. I have the Scott Centric 9 foot 5 weight and I love it. Very happy with it. Can I ask what's your opinion of the Scott Centric 10 foot 6 weight? I was considering one as a lake/stillwater rod.
@Nordic Anglers I checked it out at the Fly Fishing Show. It's a nice rod. I still came home with another Sage, but TFO rods are pretty damn nice. I won't say nice for the money that cheapens the rod they're solid and dependable and just happen to be cheaper but a new Sage for 35% off is too hard to pass.
Hej Daniel har overvejet og købe en tfo blue ribbon 10" #3 kan du fortælle lidt om den og om det ville være bedre og købe den i 8" hvad kan du anbefale mvh Jesper 😁
I have one and I'm finding it very hard to match a line. It's a very soft tip, compared to my Sage X. Have you found something suitable? Did like the SA Amplitude inifinity on it that a lot of people like.
There isn’t a single rod in the world that casts like an Asquith, let alone a $200 rod. Ya you can buy a Honda Civic for a 1/16tg of the cost of a Porsche, but the Porsche is faster, handles better, and has far better quality everything. It’s pretty simple. Idk what you don’t get about expensive rods
Top notch review! This definitely earned my subscription and I will be checking out your stuff. Thank you!
Love both the TFO Blue Ribbon and LK Legacy rods! For the money, it's really hard to beat.
Would of love to of seen the Sage X 590 and or 597 in this. Great content and appreciate the reviews you out out.
I have the LK Legacy and now I just ordered the Blue Ribbon. TFO rods are awesome for the price! Great review on the rods!
Excellent comparisons !

I have the 10’ 5wt centric as well. That thing rules
How about adding in writing your comments on TFO Axiom II-X and how it compares to other TFO rods?
Awesome reviews !

What are the thank you for doing this. I would love to see a 9 weight video also. Not many people have nine wt videos on the internet

With the rods you have in sight, i would urge you to try a Scott Wave in a 7 weight. ;)
Why you didn’t test TFO Aximo-II ROD??? Why??

The 10’ #5 is amazing
I absolutely love my BVK but I’m picking up another Sage
You should give the LK Lagacy a whirl too, if you like the BVK! GREAT rod!

I thought I liked my BVK too, but missed the old TICRX. Then, I got the Axiom 2 X and can't put it down. Fantastic rod for my casting style.
Hello, do you, by chance, have a recommendation for a PNW salmon and steelhead SH 10FT 8wt rod for medium to large rivers?
What is your budget? And what type of rod action do you prefer?
You have 3 fans in Norway, Me, Myself and I
I think me left. So you are alone with myself and I. Better that way. Its like living with 3 women. It gets messy :-)
Can you advise what 5# would be the best that doesn’t cost a fortune
Where's the nam review
What happens with the TFO Axiom II X???
I could have brought even more rods, but then this video would properly be +60 minutes... I had just to pick a few :)
Can you give me your opinión about this one or a brief comparision with the LK Legacy?

Hej Jesper
Ring ud til butikken og få en snak om det :) Det vil du få meget mere ud af.
Mvh
Sage X is missing?
Can you also do all the same rods in spinning?
We are fly only
Kan ikke finde der hvor snakker om tfo aximo 2 x
wich line is the best fot the scott centric 9ft #5 ?
Depend on the fishing :)
i fish the scott centric 9ft #5 and search for the right line for coastel fishing @@NordicAnglers

Holy shite who would spend 1k on a goddamn rod u can get a good set for under 200
Because for some people design, quality and craftsmanship matters.
LOL, please tell me about this good set for under $200
@@NordicAnglers the fish don’t care, only the anglers.

Only if you want a rod that doesn’t do anything really well and just gets by, once to start finding challenging conditions you’ll soon see why
One legged guides are more accurate according to GL
Well that is probably why they have them on there, but i do not agree with that :)
