I tried to tell the folks at the Dr Berry community this months ago and I was told I was wrong and then criticized and ostricized. And, guess what is in the flavored LMNT products you all advertise? Citric acid.
Oh wow that’s interesting - I looked them up online and thought if there is a hint of stevia my body will say hard no! So I’m just sticking with Celtic salt water and really enjoying it 😊

Precisely! Not to mention all the supplements, mag citrate, calcium citrate, postassium citrate, to name a few. I just discovered recently that lactase supplements are derived from Aspergillus oryzae. I had been taking those for years to deal with lactose intolerance.
I haven’t used LMNT, do they have an unflavored version? That should be citric acid free. I always use unflavored Redmond Re/Lyte myself.

Many yrs ago I bought 500 gms of Ascorbic Acid thinking I can add this powder to everything and get tons of Vitamin C. When it arrived and I saw it looked like a bag of white crystallised Glass, I had a visceral reaction that made me shudder……it still sits in my cupboard to remind me there’s no shortcut to a PHD & Health 😅😳🥊👍🇦🇺❤️

Ugh, that hurt my head. LOL. Well dang! That's in the LMNT flavored electrolyte. I normally drink the unflavored, but I do enjoy the Grapefruit one from time to time. I'm not going to throw it out. I'll use it up, but probably won't order it again.

To be honest I couldn't watch this video in its entirely. I skipped a bunch of acid lady😅
The real question is (that isn't answered) is the end product contaminated by the process, or is it just citric acid? Citric acid is used in some jams and jellies whose fruit doesn't contain enough acid ( required for the gel process to occur) and whose flavor would be overpowered by lemon juice. It is ,in effect, used to not add flavor. I know, not carnivore, but I have a weakness for mulberry jam and citric acid is the best acid I've found for the gel process.

I used to hunt and sell edible mushrooms spring summer and fall and a few other herbs roots and molds to sell now knowing what I know about most of these compound I don't even want to come in contact with them so I quit I saw the earliest of all morels yesterday and most valuable that would have sent me into greed muscle flex I would love to learn to be a beef farmer now . I use food grade citric acid to make mozzarella cheese from my goat milk, it’s what makes it stretchy. I also have taken food grade citric acid to break up kidney stones.
LMNT has this as well as 1/2 tsp per pack of maltodextrin.

I’m glad you’re doing good these type of videos. I learned about GMOs in 2006 and then seed oils not long after. The educational progression just keeps going. Yes, citric acid can also be made from toxic black mold from GMOs, which I know you know.

Good morning, Dante! Wow! I was drinking LMNT a while back. My toe joints were swelling and hurting sooo bad. Finally had to admit to myself what was causing it. The swelling and pain went away when I cut it out. Looking back citric acid was an ingredient in it.
Sounds yummy... Thanks for this video, I just started carnivore and I did think about getting some vitamin c, but decided on pig liver instead. I wish they would make the ingredient lists more transparent. So many things sound ok on first glance but then not so much after researching. " Natural Flavors " is one that sounds ok and may be ok but then may not be. Just trust the manufacturer, since it is a secret.

Most are large. One of my tanks is a small and one or two are a medium.

All comes down to money. Mass bulk producing citric acid from a cheap fungus for next to nothing, or spend much more on produce that expires to extract the natural citric acid from fruits in much smaller amounts? Of course theyll put profits over people. Its what they all do, with almost everything.

Dante, thank you, that's very enlightening, this pretty powder comes from the sewer...i have been aware, but it is worse than I thought. Store breads routine include what is a frtilzr, am onm --- these brilliant re srchers are using their skills productively and positively.
And this is why you Don’t buy anything that isn’t pure meat or 100 percent cheese, cream or butter. No additives ever. Use the oil you create from cooking your meat if you need extra. If I ever splurge it is only once in a blue moon with a tiny amount of pure stevia and pure vanilla in my cream for making popsicles in the summer.

Dante why don't you use pink Himalayan salt instead of ancient sea salt? I'm pretty sure there are more minerals in Himalayan salt than there is in ancient sea salt.
It’s been a while but I’ve compared them before. I remember HPS had more radioactive trace minerals, but I’m sure it has more of some things than RRS and vice versa. I’m just happy with natural.

Can someone help me. I started Carnivore 6 weeks Tuesday just gone. First month was ROUGH!!!! For 4 weeks I did lions diet with rump stake and pink himalayan salt and water. Was constipated for 4 weeks and nausea was horrendous. Switched to beef ribs, added electrolytes and it helped right away. Went toilet, stomach discomfort and nausea went. But only 4 days ago I notice it’s coming back (nausea and stomach discomfort). Only thing I have changed was I got a little too confident and introduced eggs last week. Scrambled eggs cooked in water. That’s the only change. Today I have stopped eggs to see if it goes. Btw, that horrible taste in my mouth that I had the first 4 weeks has returned this week when the nausea and stomach discomfort returned. It had completely went away when I first introduced beef ribs and electrolytes. When does the adaptation phase end for goodness sakes??????????????? 😫😫😫
If you’re constipated you may need more fat. It should be at least 50/50 fat to meat ratio…
@@loriegosnell9355 Thanks for the reply. Literally a few days after posting my message above I started eating bacon for breakfast. Bacon is like a magic food for me because the same day I had it I never had those issues ever again. Constipation went, nausea became a thing of the past and horrible taste in my mouth completely went. In fact my breath is super fresh virtually all the time. When I tongue scrape no gunk or anything. I removed eggs from my diet and all I eat is X4 or X5 bacon. And 2-4 hours later I eat my main meal which consists of meat cooked with just pink himalayan so either beef short ribs, salmon, chicken thighs or lamb chops. Main meal is always around 12:30-2:30.

Only purpose I can see for this type of industrial processing is astronaut food since carrying loads of whole foods on a spacecraft is not realistic. Otherwise stay away from it!
