The Best of the Short 1967 The Atom Mini-series

- Back in 1967 there were some short shows to introduce people to various DC characters and one of the stranger choices was The Atom who at the time had his own comic run which ended shortly after this mini-series aired. The show itself didn't really delve into the character besides the fact that Ray Palmer is a scientist and what his powers were but I have to hand it to Filmation for whoever was responsible for sound. Those screams and yelps really make the show.
As for how it stacks up to the comic? The Atom run at the time had fantastic art but the writing was a bit clunky and full of exposition and content wasn't the most interesting. A lot of silver age comics ran into that problem.
I do not own DC, The Atom, a mallet or a cup with "Mother" inscribed on it.

I kinda like how cheery Palmer is
I mean...for a 1967 animated superhero cartoon, I was legitimately surprised at how this used technical terms and how it depicted radiation. Sure, it's definitely not educational or anything, but compared to Reed Richards saying Einstein thought the universe was "like a ball," hearing Ray Palmer use words like transistor and actually hearing a Geiger Counter in a cartoon not that many years after the first nuclear bombs is kinda impressive!

Sooo, what I'm getting from this is that Vladimir Lenin, Whitebread McGee, and Ol' Man Beardy use a flashlight on some green bugs with human faces and laser guns that turns them giant. Then, Tiny Man comes in and kicks everybody's ass.
DC completely forgot what made this character tick. What a major loss. This character to so carefree! This era understood what a badass Ray Palmer/The Atom was supposed to be!

What happened to the 60s Captain America shorts?
Someone from Disney saw the video and did a manual takedown and made it clear I was on notice. I'd rather not lose the channel, so I'll be adding to give a little information about the studio involved and process of making the show to make it a "documentary" I worked hard on that compilation and was working on one for Thor, damnit.
Tedfufu if you need a copy of the video I downloaded it before the takedown. It was a pretty good one and I'm glad I did.
