The 1967 The rapid-paced Flash mini-series looks kinda rushed.

The idea that a room of scientists can't correctly the color of an ant. I love it.
I really enjoyed Flash comics from the silver age and it hurts that Barry never got the full 60s experience like Superman, Aquaman and Batman did. Why did DC not have faith? It's not like for lack of content, Jay debuted in 1940 and DC had the rights to him by 67 and Barry was a decade old and they just introduced Wally a few years prior to this. All of The Flash's iconic rogues including The Reverse Flash were introduced by 67 and yet George Kashdan for whatever reason didn't want to include them even for this. Why? I have no idea. I'm not even that upset about how the 1990 show misfire happened, I just wanted a stupid silverage Barry cartoon.
Anyways enough venting. Enjoy the highlights of this masterpiece.

Nah, his feet were just moving too fast for the human eye to see.

Why? Both of you could easily catch up with the train... Why is that your plan?!
They would probably be going too fast and overshoot the train😂
Probably so they could tow it back after?
Because Hanna-Barbara thought this looked better than actually animating two superheroes doing cool stuff.
Looks cooler when you can show off your powers in different ways....Ok even I can't stop laughing at this lol.

Apparently Flash also has super-strength comparable to Superman's, since he's casually pitching boulders to Kid Flash that must weigh as much as he does.
Logically the flash would have to have super strength in order to punch or kick at super speeds without breaking his own bones

Reminder that this still is the sole Flash solo animated project ever, and every other animated appearance of his, including Flashpoint Paradox, has been under another sobriquet (like 'Justice League') and sharing the protagonism.
Green Lantern had a whole CGI animated series and several Direct to Videos, and even Aquaman got a LEGO DTV movie in addition to his old series. Plastic Man, for Pete's sake, got several DC Nation shorts to go along with his seventies shows!
IT WAS MEEEE, BARRY! I CUT THE ANIMATION BUDGET!

Man, I really love silver age Barry too! I wish he had just been expanded upon when he was revived, like Mark Waid and Darwyn Cooke did when they got to write the character in miniseries and flashbacks. I'm not really a fan of the retconned version we have today.

That first image in the video is GOLD!
I can't believe that villain managed to catch Kid Flash with his mech's claw and then threw him. He squandered his once in a life time opportunity to kill a speedster. I can't even fathom how unlikely it is to catch a speedster without a carefully laid out plan.
At 2:09 when he’s on the spinning thing they play a little bit of the dreidel song.
Well, these were the Flash's only solo outings outside of comics for a long time. But he was also featured in Filmation's "Justice League" shortss and later in H-B's 'Super Friends'.

Come to Flashmania! Come to Flashmania!
I looked away for one second, looked back and had no idea what was going on
I will never understand the obsession with 60's superhero cartoons and giant monsters.
I would speculate the obsession came from cheap horror movies which often took some animal and superimposed to make it look giant or even Godzilla being a guy in a costume made to look giant. It was also something different from earlier decades with human-sized monsters such as Dracula or Frankenstein's monster, mummies, etc. I imagine you could also question the 80s obsession with slashers. Fads come and go.
Godzilla was really popular in the 60's.
Heck before the Superhero craze Marvel make an entier kaiju gallery who latter appear in the super heros comics, like Fin Fang Foom.
I wasn't expecting the ending. Awesome.
"...FUR-ther...
"...PUR-fect..."
This makes Space Ghost look well-animated.
Watch that dialogue--- go, go go, flasher!!!
Why Filmation did NOT do the Flash stories, the way DC Comics did, during the
silver age, I'll never know! We get no Mirror-Master, no Reverse-Flash, no Capt.
Cold, no Weather Wizard, no Heat-Wave, none of the Flash's foes form the
comics! Geez, no wonder the "Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure was
a total failure, due to the changes with the Super-Heroes' costumes and their
personalities! That's why I always read the DC Omnibuses!
