I was breaking out so badly, I started collecting extra masks so that I can wash them more often and switch them out. Also, those little break out patches that she mentioned are a game changer. It’s really helped
I loved the tops but I'm not sure about spraying toner inside, the mask should not be moist, breeding for bacteria, they actually say you should change masks ir damp :/
Agree. She shouldn’t be saying these things before researching. Dampening the masks would make it less effective (according to CDC) that’s why masks could only be used for 8 hours because it can only handle an 8hour amount of sweat
@@anneanne5191 I think this is just meant for like a day out. Like if you're going out for the day for just a little while. I don't know if it's necessarily meant for like an eight-hour full day. But either way, most people work 8-hour shifts so they might be okay. The CDC has also said that masks may not even make a difference LOL! We may never know. LOL!
For those using N95’s and having a hard time reusing with makeup: I took liquid silicone from the hardware store and put it around the inside inch rim of the N95’s we wear where my face touches it. This way I’m able to wet wipe off the makeup from the slick silicone surface. It also creates an even better seal.

I pretty much have to wear my mask all day in work, I take it off for lunch breaks, but I found that putting sudocream on your skin wear the mask covers is brilliant to help with acne! By the time my lunch comes around the cream is pretty much dissolved into my skin and I do my regular face routine when I get home and re apply a small amount over my breakouts before bed
I use the toner but I spray my face with it twice daily when I wash my face. I use toner with salicylic acid and only in the area that is under the mask because it can be drying and I don’t need it on the rest of my face. This seems to help with the acne caused by the mask.
Thanks for the tips! I just got the Nars soft matte foundation and it LITERALLY doesn’t transfer to my mask which I wear all day for work, and I am also very oily. It’s a game changer.
So glad you posted this video! I went back to work this week from my maternity leave and have been stressing about this all week. My skin is the clearest it’s ever been and now having to wear a mask for 8 hours (I work at maccas so all those oily foods make it even better 😡) I don’t want to start breaking out and damaging my skin 😢

If you are using washable masks, you can also consider using a detergent without fragrance (like All Free and Clear, etc) as these can sometimes cause a dermatitis, especially on the more sensitive skin of your face! You really shouldn’t need to bleach the masks (and bleach can be an irritant as well) because the detergent itself traps bacterial and viral particles. Great video!
Thank youuuuuu for this video, a lot of mask videos focused on full face of make up whereas a minimalist make up with more focus on skin and eyes is needed more!

Hi! I'm a physician. Masks do not work if they are wet. They cease functioning if they are wet or become soiled with setting spray, toner, face, oil, sunscreen, anything that will alter the structure of the filter/fibers/fabric weave. Not only will they become difficult to breathe through, but solvents, such as alcohol, can dissolve the woven nanofibers. No drying will resolve the mask and make it functional again after things such as setting spray are applied. If it is a multiple use mask, you must wash it after spraying it with toner. If it is a single use mask, you should dispose of it after spraying it with toner. For the same reason, you should not wash your mask with fabric softener.
So I'm not the only one who started having skin breakouts after wearing masks???
Never had breakouts! I’m getting them now when I’m nearly 30 because of the masks 😩😞😞
Just shows how much bacteria they carry 🤮
They don't carry bacteria, our breath does.

Maybe instead of spraying it with toner she should spray the mask with a setting spray.
It seems like she let it dry first
Yes, she probably let it dry but you shouldnt make them damp in the first place, it might Change the proprieties of the material 🤷
