I love China, and I love eating out of it. I know displaying and babying it is what is thought to be the right thing to do. There's nothing like being dressed to the hilt, candlelight dinner, being served in fine china. Of course, I do resale some things, but sometimes I want to be the princess. Thank you for showing us the details, like the curve on cup, the handle on the pitcher, along with the explanation of the number, and the added color to the wheat. I always learn from you. You are my all-time favorite teacher/ educator!
Yes, Dr. Lori showed the important elements to look for and understand the pieces. THANK YOU DR. LORI.
I always learn something new from Dr. Lori. I never knew the round butter dishes had additional pieces and how they were used. Thank you.
I've never seen an actual bone dish. Much nicer than having a side plate.
AS A young college student i worked in a high falooting restauranr with finger bowls, esp with lobster, many peoplewould think the finger bowl with water/lemon was a soup...heehee...gave us a few gigles during a busy night. lol
You learn so much watching Dr. Lori. Thank you, Dr. Lori for all you do.

Love these videos Dr. Lori!! Thank you as always!
I love my bone dishes and use them often, probably the early 1900's. So sad many people don't use china anymore.
Another fabulous, informative video. Many thanks.

As a Californian, I’d use those bone plates for artichoke leaves 🍃❤️
Those teacups would be so pretty as a candle labra
TY DOC 😊 PEACE
Oh my! At 4:04 is that imperial? I need that butter dish for my mother’s collection. She has that set and we are always buying more.
I would use that domed butter dish for my soup.
I was very grateful to inherit my 100 yr old Aunt's household, including many beautiful pieces. A Stickley hutch, Eastlake dining table, Fine english china, Lead Glass corset vases, pitchers, and decanters, beautiful fine white Linen tablecloths and napkins, Beautiful european embroidered tea towels. I'm just a regular Midwestern gal with some museum quality items. I feel like I should start hosting little tea parties for the young ladies in the neighborhood, 🤣but honestly, I'm afraid to touch anything. I've already broken several things because I'm a klutz. Bottom line, I'm very grateful and I hope I can learn to be as graceful and careful as these pieces warrant. Any advice there? And now my question. Mixed in all this was a little box of fine papers with gold on them. Are they to use on the gilt edged dishes? To replenish the gold handles on pieces such as the ones you've shown here? If so, do you know where I can look to learn how this was done. I have a couple of very small round gilt edged english china dishes (about the size of the bottom of a coffee mug, that I I use to rest a tea stirring spoon on) that are wearing thin on the gilt edges.I would love to know how to transfering the gilt from the little cigarette papers back onto the edges of the dish? And actually, what was the usage of these 3 inch dishes. Thanks in advance for any help any of you good readers can offer.
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching. Check my website for the next date.

I thought the gloves were for a more secure grip!
Dr Lori my Mom has a full set of Francsican Ivy Dishes service for 13 with Serving Platters Gravy Boat & 2 pitchers. Is this still desirable china
Many factors affect value. I can help, but need to see the pieces to verify what you really have. Check out my website for options on how you can show the pieces to me.
