Keep the piece as an olive oil decanter. There is something special about using an everyday piece you love in a luxurious way. Years ago, I used my grandparents sterling flatware for my everyday flatware. Yes, it was expensive and special but using it made every meal a memory and reminded me not to wait for special occasions to use the things you love.
My sis took the sterling flatware and sold it for the $. I’m the one who loves the vintage and antiques. I also took care of my parents until they died, she was a no contact child. ( Now she is “born again” Yeah right!!!!)💩
Hello Laura, If you keep the decanter for olive oil, you must store it in a cupboard in the dark. Otherwise your olive oil will get rancid very quickly. That is why olive oil decanters are made in ceramic so light does not alter the quality of the oil. Love your videos and thinking about going on vacations in Oregon after watching your Oregon Coast tour videos. 👋 Evy from Montreal 🇨🇦
It’s my happy place. I go to the Oregon coast as often as I can. ( going next month as a matter of fact). I grew up in eastern Oregon, but my heart is on the coast. (Left coast, as connected here).
Laura I am just loving how much you have bloomed since you have focused on your solo projects! You are my favorite thrifter and I cannot wait for your cooking channel 💕 Blessings!
After u left old baggage behind u very own style and personality blossoms of touring thrifting Europe well done and morroco going to blow u and Jessie away real culture shock plus the pottery can't wait for that episode
I love what you found!!! Having said that, I miss the old format where you push your cart around and gather things and THEN show how you decorate with them. Am I the only one?
The brass book ends are made after the gates of Seoul, Korea. Originally built in 1300s, there were 8 gates to enter Seoul. The south gate, i think, is registered as the national treasure. And yin yang symbol is a part of the national flag. Great finds!!!
How awesome!!! I’ll have to look back at my pictures from Seoul! I remember taking pictures in front of some amazing gates 😄 I wonder if it was the same ones you’re referring to!
I just can't believe what you can find in a thrift store! So impressed. There's nothing wrong with using something special as everyday. If it makes you feel good go for it!
What amazing finds! I also love how you show them to us styled in your home. It combines my two favourite things - thrifting and interior design.❤️❤️❤️
Everyone can have their unique take on things and come across some really cool items that other people might not recognize as something nice. I see a lot of stuff I pass on because while I think they are cool, I just don't think I can make a profit on because others just might not get it.
What an amazing haul! It's surprising what people donate. They don't always know the value. That's part of the fun of looking, but I've bought inexpensive things that I just really like. You're teaching me a lot about what to look for and how to style things. I just love your style!
Hi Laura, just wanted to say I love this format of in the wild, the haul in the car and then decorated, piece by piece. I didn't feel.like I could look away or I'd miss something important. Also.i think.the olive decanter is almost perfect, although I fear for it without a handle!!!
I have to agree with the others. Olive oil decanters are best stored in dark glass and ceramic. If you see any Olive oil stored in a clear glass it's usually for the esthetic or it's a smaller container that will be used for only that day because it is mixed with seasoning to use for bread or cooking. I vote to sell it.
Every time I see a thrifting video at Goodwill I’m in shock. Here in MO, the GW stores are HORRIBLE! Dirty, disorganized, half empty & exorbitant prices! I’ve been to at least 10…maybe 12…in MO, and they’re all the same! Thank God we have several phenomenal thrift stores to shop at!
Laura, I had to laugh when you told everyone about the flower frog. When I was younger, my husband and I lived in the Florida Keys. I had a customer come in and asked if we had any frogs (at the time I had no idea what it was, but we always had lots of live frogs that would sit in our hanging baskets). I told her that we had lots of frogs and she could take as many as she could catch. She looked at me like I had two heads. She then left, with out purchasing anything. I then spoke to the owner and she explained what a frog was and what it was used for. I started laughing so hard that I cried. I will never forget that encounter, and I'm sure the lady hasn't either!
I would keep this piece as an olive oil decanter,it is simple very very elegant also...I love watching you, your enthusiasm is contagious and I learn a lot from you .. I love vases and sculpture...you have excellent taste and vision
I would keep the decanter for olive oil. We live in a hot climate and use a decanter of the same color and it doesn't go rancid very easily. That may be because we use olive oil several times a day. You have such a good eye for putting things together.
I really like the way you did your video today focusing on the item you found and reviewing it after purchase rather than looking at everything on the shelf - very nicely done. Such fantastic finds today - thank you for sharing.
YES!!! Keep the olive oil decanter. It’s gorgeous and it will elevate all of your cooking😀. It is a wonderful piece. And thank you so much for styling all of your thrifted finds. I love that portion of your videos and you give me lots of good ideas. Have a super week.
Good finds Laura! I preferred when you showed your haul at the end of your videos instead of after each find. I love to see you fill your cart without a cut! 🌺
Laura I love watching your videos, you pick the most amazing pieces. Where do I go to check the value of an item? Just want to say since watching you and Selena when the two of you shopped together, I have loved the three houses you have decorated and lived in. Your most recent home is so awesome. Thank you for sharing your beautiful homes and all your thrifting. I enjoy it all.
Hi Laura ! Keep it !! It IS a perfect decanter for your olive oil . INCREDIBLE treasures today !!! Amazing how everything you love was there waiting for you to find !!! The thrift gods were definitely in your favor today . Your designs are so elegant and yet so simple and so very beautiful . I absolutely love your taste and style (s). Yours and mine are very similar. Your home IS GORGEOUS. I've learned so much from YOU just watching your channel and I think you're amazing. I can't wait for you to post. !!! Thank you for the inspiration . I absolutely enjoy going shopping with you because I can't anymore and I want to thank you for taking me on your treasure hunts and especially on your grand trips . It's truly AWESOME !! God bless you both & Take care. MUCH LOVE from the U.P. of Michigan Laura K. Wow !!
Hi Laura, I'm from New Jersey and very rarely find even one piece as nice as the ones your always finding. Your in a good location. Treat yourself and keep the olive oil decanter. You choose beautiful pieces and have made a gorgeous home. Love watching your videos.
Laura thrifting juju was with you on this day - what an incredible haul. YES I would totally keep the decanter for YOU but would not use it for EVOO as it should be stored in a dark container or dark place (and then who would see it) for freshness (of course unless you go through a lot of EVOO). Loved everything that went into your cart! Thanks as always for bringing us along!
If you put a cork on that danish vase after pouring oil the cork will get oily, slippery and, in the long run, rancid. So unless your luck holds and you find an impossibly beautiful and fitting glass stopper I‘d suggest selling the vase. The more of your videos I watch, the more impressed I am with your knowledge!
I love what I'm learning about mixed metals and goblets from you! I bought four Spanish brass goblets today that are silver plated on the outside. In the past, I would have passed them by ($1 each) -- thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!!!
For the fun tikki party, you can get these really cool coils on incense to keep the bugs away! The smoke will add to the ambiance, the citronella smell will keep bugs away, and they look so cool!
Keep the vase for olive oil. What is better than have a beautiful object for every day use. Because it is clear, you will have to keep it in a dark space unless you just keep small amounts for weekly use it it.
Ok I absolutely need that rust colored orange crystal bookend Laura!!!! Those are my favorite colors and I about died when I saw you pick it up!! I will hopefully get to watch your next sale. Also I vote to keep the vase for your oil! It looked perfect! You're the best!!
I think you will find a better decanter for olive oil. Even though this vase is beautiful, it's just not quite right to keep for olive oil. Looked like it might have been a little awkward to hold on to and if any oil gets spilled on it, it could slip out of your hands and break. I vote to sell. Love watching your videos.
Hi Laura. I love the blue plate with the white flowers. As for your olive oil vase I think you should keep it. It seems perfect for what you are using it for.
1. Put up some bat houses to combat your mosquito problem naturally. Bats love to eat mosquitos. 2. I am not Italian, but I seem to remember that you need to store olive oil in a darkened or ceramic container away from light. This preserves its freshness.
Great finds love all of it but that turtle 🐢 is my favorite, the one used in floral arrangements. And yes Laura keep the Vase (Oil Decanter) until you find something you like better.
I just found your channel today. I work as an LPN and wanted to make a change. I love to decorate, but this is the first time I found someone that incorporate decorating and scenery together my style. Thank you and you now you have a binge watcher. 💕 I could really hang out with you, you seem so fun and don't mind spending sun up to sun down thrifting. My kiinda personality. ...and you like the back roads.
I did love this one. Great finds. Labradorite stone is one of my most favorite I have several pieces of it. A tear drop necklace is my favorite. The German plate was fantastic ❣️❣️❣️Have an awesome weekend. Keep the glass oil vase 🥰
We all deserve an expensive piece of something that makes us smile everytime it's used...some get that feeling with a purse, shoes or art...keep it and smile everyday!
You have the BEST eye for Amazing pieces. I love watching your channel bc I learn SO much about pottery and art that I know nothing about being from the south. Ty
You have helped me so much! Thank you ❤️ I’m so addicted to thrifting I’ve had to restrict myself to once a week and it’s so hard 😅 You and George are my favorites and I switch between your videos every evening
I love your videos. I've been second hand shopping for many years. Now it's trendy when it use to be (in my town in New Zealand) something you would hide and be embarrassed of with the stigma of being poor. Now it's cool and good for the environment 😎
M Zac
I use my sterling flatware every day
Sell it. I'd rather have it in a collection to admire and keep the oil out of it.
I use my moms deco sterling set too for every day😃
My sis took the sterling flatware and sold it for the $. I’m the one who loves the vintage and antiques. I also took care of my parents until they died, she was a no contact child. ( Now she is “born again” Yeah right!!!!)💩
Best to sell, as olive oil should be stored in dark glass to prevent spoiling. You'd have to hide it in the cupboard... awesome haul!
I agree sell it. I feel it could easily slip out of your hand and break.
Yes olive 🫒 police. I agree ☝️

Me too!
exactly, I was going to comment that
It’s my happy place. I go to the Oregon coast as often as I can. ( going next month as a matter of fact). I grew up in eastern Oregon, but my heart is on the coast. (Left coast, as connected here).
Good to know! But I am sad she might not keep it,😔👍
I know right? Oregon is going to be overrun with us! Our Goodwills here don't have NEAR the treasures :(
Laura I am just loving how much you have bloomed since you have focused on your solo projects! You are my favorite thrifter and I cannot wait for your cooking channel 💕 Blessings!

You’re blowing my MIND that Labradorite can be used as a countertop!! That’s my favorite stone and now you’ve just unlocked a new home design dream ✨
The leopard!!! Wow. You stage things like nobody out there. Such class.
I know that's an expensive piece but enjoy it for your oil anyway!
As Yoda will say: "A bargain you found, come and go the money will, still with you the decanter will be"
😂❤️
Jedi mind trick: "This is not the oil decanter you're looking for". Great finds!
I just can't believe what you can find in a thrift store! So impressed. There's nothing wrong with using something special as everyday. If it makes you feel good go for it!
I love the stone bookend.
No, I wouldn't use the Danish vase for oil; it drips down the outside edge, plus looks cumbersome to hold onto.
and making it crystal clean again. OMG not possible
@@Paulsofsteel I think Dawn dish soap or vinegar will clean that up pretty good😊
@@robinmp8300 that would be great
I don't have the option to go second hand shopping in my area,so everytime I watch your videos,It's like we go there together😊😅😂
Your Goodwill definitely has the best stock I’ve ever seen! Loved all your finds and how you styled everything! Beautiful job as always! ❤️
Wow, what a wonderful haul! I also love how Jessie is becoming more interactive in videos....Bam! 👏🇨🇦

You make my days better Laura! Inspiration, purpose, ideas and laughs, so thank you!💚🙏🏻🤟🏻🙌🏻
I really love the Schwab platter. The shell-like swirl in the centre is beautiful.

I love that leather pan handle cover

That story made laugh. Thank you
We live and learn huh Julie? I can't tell you how many things I had to learn and still am learning.

You absolutely scored on all of your treasures you found. Beautiful clear glass pieces!👍🏻😃❤️
Yes. Yes. A hundred times yes keep the glass oil bottle!
It was an extra beautiful find today!! One of the top 3 find days of yours!! But I believe better ones are right around the corner!!💕💕🦋🦋💕💕
Keep, it is made for your kitchen.
Sell the vase because olive oil should be stored in a dark decanter so it doesn't go rancid. You had one amazing haul for sure.
I say keep it...at least for now....you can always upgrade if and when you find a piece you love *more* and sell this one then👍
Super great haul!
I just love your taste. I say you should keep the special oil Decanter. That is one the perks of being a reseller and finding treasures.
Yep , keep it!
I'm obsessed with anything labradorite! I am always enamored with the play of colors, no matter if it's sculptural, jewelery, or home decor.
I really like the way you did your video today focusing on the item you found and reviewing it after purchase rather than looking at everything on the shelf - very nicely done. Such fantastic finds today - thank you for sharing.
Keep. Amazing haul. Thanks for taking us along! ❤️
I agree, you have to keep olive oil in a dark place and in a dark jar.
Most definitely KEEP. I love it!!!!
Yes, keep the bottle for olive oil. 😊
YES!!! Keep the olive oil decanter. It’s gorgeous and it will elevate all of your cooking😀. It is a wonderful piece. And thank you so much for styling all of your thrifted finds. I love that portion of your videos and you give me lots of good ideas. Have a super week.
Keep it! You put it out in the universe that you wanted something special for your EVOO and you got it! 🙂
Wow this Thrift store is loaded with deals, unlike most stores near where I live. Good for you!
Good finds Laura! I preferred when you showed your haul at the end of your videos instead of after each find. I love to see you fill your cart without a cut! 🌺
Yes, keep it. It is beautiful and functions well as olive oil dispenser.

If your like me, you use the felt, rubber or silicone pads under items so they don’t scratch your furniture! New or vintage pieces!
Yes I think you should keep the vase for your oil!! Maybe until you find the ONE!!
Unique and special glass piece is PERFECT to use as your olive oil decanter!!💕
Before your tiki party spray yard gard , it works for three hours or more ,use in outer perimeters along hedges
That blue iris vase is so gorgeous omg

Great haul! I say keep it! I love a good design! It’s beautiful.
Keep the piece for your olive or avocado oil decanter! It truly is beautiful with the oil in it!
No for the "oil decanter ". Keep looking unless you really love it. Your haul was outstanding. Lucky girl.
Keep glass vase! Looks beautiful on a counter or tray
Love the iris mugs & vase. Also the blue glass candle sticks & the sculpture of the lady. Great finds ❣️

I did love this one. Great finds. Labradorite stone is one of my most favorite I have several pieces of it. A tear drop necklace is my favorite. The German plate was fantastic ❣️❣️❣️Have an awesome weekend. Keep the glass oil vase 🥰
Keep the oil vase. There is a mineral ring around the inside that can't be removed. You will get more enjoyment from it in your kitchen
I adore how you stage or decorate with all your finds!! You are such a treat to watch!!
Yes keep it. Is beautiful and very decorated for the kitchen
Only use dark glass or something opaque as your olive oil decanter, so the oil doesn’t become rancid from exposure to light.
This is the best haul….😳…I would definitely keep it…love that shape…
We all deserve an expensive piece of something that makes us smile everytime it's used...some get that feeling with a purse, shoes or art...keep it and smile everyday!
