yes, i'm 5'7" 15 and only 125lbs. i just sold my 2006 cr125 and am about to get a crf250x that i fell in LOVE with when i rode my buddy's. So comfortable and smooth power.
I've got a 2002 WR250f and I'd say it is very reliable. I'm not the original owner but I bet it has never been rebuilt. I've put 220km or about 15-20 hours on it and the oil is still gold. It's an awesome bike.
I wouldn't say that the crf250x is super reliable because I own a 2004 and I have had to replace the valves. Although, I have a lot of miles on that thing.
Your good, I'm 5'11", 215lbs the CRF150F can be setup to push 18HP which is plenty of power, suspension can be stiffened if you get heavier as well. the bike is slightly smaller than a 230 a 250 might be a little too big and too powerful for your experience if you are asking if the bike is good for you. . . . . ride the 150 and have fun.
hey i need some help....i got this bike rite, and when i wheelie (usually in 3rd or 4th) it seems like my bike revs way too much....idk if its the exhaust or just me
I got an 08 250x its all except for a DG slip on pipe would it be better to leave the jets in the carb stock or rejet the carb. I do lots of trail riding and run it high rpms on the trails
Shootout ..where's the rest of the bikes from 2012...I've got the 250sxf..she does just gr8 in single track.also a 95 300 wxc but nothing needs said there for the woods..so at least have the top 4 bikes so as can be a bit more analytical...
I have a 250x as well! I love it! don't know about the forks though... I just tipped over side ways in first gear last weekend and bent the front forks. anyone have any idea how much it would cost to repair ?
+EXTRIME GUYS I have had mine for 4 years now and i havent yet. A lot of people like to change then every year or every couple of years. But im not racing it and that makes a difference. I had a compression test done to it last month and it was fine. I keep up on the valve adjustments and the oil. But thats just me. Its hands down one of the best dirt bikes out there. Never had an issue yet. Knock on wood
justin wertich there's a big difference between trail bikes (like yours) and motocross bikes, which is what anything above a 2 stroke 125 is. your bike is torque while a 2 stroke is power. Big difference when riding. I prefer a 4 stroke because i don't feel like im being pulled by a turbo charger and i have more control. 2 strokes are brute power, as soon as you hit the powerband you feel like nitrous or a turbo kicked in and basically hang on as much as you can, and you can't really go at a constant pace (you either increase in speed or decrease) BUT THAT'S MY OPINION. Some people like 2 stroke while others like torque. If i were you i would try out both bikes. For 2 strokes i would try an 80-85cc (yz, cr, rm, kx- brand names) because of your size and weight. If it's to small, but has the perfect amount of power, try looking for a big wheel 85cc. 2 stroke 85cc are the biggest of mini bikes, unless you get a big bore kit. After that it's a 125. If you need more power and the bike is too small then get a 125 2 stroke. 125 2 strokes are a full size bike, but the beginner level for a full size bike. You can't go any smaller in engine size with a full size setup. For 4 strokes, try a crf 150r. It's pretty much the only 4 stroke that is for motocross(racing or just riding at high speeds) with beginner level engine size. Again, not enough power, go with a 250 2 stroke but i wouldn't recommend going with that because of your size and weight, unless you're some ama 9 time champion with skill set of a mini ryan villipoto. Those are your options. If any of those are too much power what so ever, go with a crf 230 or ttr 230.
@GoproFor Moto both bikes are very capable of doing exactly what you want. When it comes to reliability the Yamaha is definitely ahead of the Honda in the long run. But it with either bike just don't slack on oil changes and air filter cleanings and you should be good to go. Performance wise I'd say they have fairly equal power, weight and handling. Personally I have an 02' WR250F and love it.
Honda is old model .. it sucks u need to change something make it look new .. about yamaha we all know it has good guality stuff, both reliable both good bikes.
it's a great bike but holy the exhaust is awful you can't really tell until you ride one but yeah if I was to buy one of these I would have to buy a new exhaust
Just traded my 13 450x straight up for a mint 2012 250x. And I am lovin the 250x!

it would be so amazing to see a cr250x
Be cool to hear the bike rather than the robot futuristic sound effects.
It sounds like a muffled fart and a chain clattering about.
that futuristic robot sound is a band lol
@@brettknibbs9351 that’s not a band, a producer made the music electronically, still sucks tho 🤣
@@read226 no shit i didnt know that amen brother
@@read226 Are you sure mate??? sounds very much like polyphia possibly e song goat but im almost vertain its them..

My next bike crf250x, jumping down of a honda xr650r to the 250x !!!
I got an 08 250x its all except for a DG slip on pipe would it be better to leave the jets in the carb stock or rejet the carb. I do lots of trail riding and run it high rpms on the trails
Dereck Perceful how is the power on it ? my dad my get one
I thought the power was very good it didn't have to much for the woods but it would pull up whenever u want it to
Dereck Perceful ok thanks cause my dad has a 230 and he wants more power but not too much
Hondas the best
Shootout ..where's the rest of the bikes from 2012...I've got the 250sxf..she does just gr8 in single track.also a 95 300 wxc but nothing needs said there for the woods..so at least have the top 4 bikes so as can be a bit more analytical...

SONG?
Why has it got such a small tank?
I'm 5.1 could I ride this bike with the suspension lowered please answer
probably not
Aden Walmsley no way, you would have to get the bike lowered and smaller tires
Yes you could, lower the suspension and cut the seat.
+Aden Walmsley would be tough
Aden Walmsley your better off on a 85 or 150
i am 5 10 125 pounds and i am on a crf150f is this a good bike for me
How often should I change my piston in the crf250x?

I'm 5'9 and 125 pounds. With about 2 years experience. Would this be a good bike? I just sold my crf 150f so I could get something bigger

+Giovani Balistreri or you could get the best of both worlds with a trail two stroke (what I currently own)
MrTwoShot you're right, i miss my old 2smoker
What did you end up getting?
Princess Greg traded my crf250r for a 02 wr426f. Probably best bike for desert. Hold it wide and fly down a sand wash
why not get a 250 2t?
where is this looks like Pozo, Ca
Would that fit me I'm 5 foot 2 130
The music wasn't something you expected to see on a dirt bike video more like made me fell like i was going off into space ahahah.
Can't decide which one to get
I've ridden yamahas and hondas didn't like yamaha I have a crf 250x electric start and kick start its amazing

Heya. You're A Good Sport! fire miscreant What's your opinion about that, guys
Alexander White what the fuck are you talking about?
Is anyone watching this is 2020 with the new action cameras
Any KTM XC or XC-W > CRF450X
KTM 300 > all other off road bikes
There are many free mods to make the 250x louder ---- my friend has one and it's way better in the woods then my CRF250r.
