The Renault Clio is now into its fourth generation, and this latest version is more stylish than ever. Unlike the previous model, it's only available as a five-door, but hidden rear handles give it a sporty three-door profile -- the best of both worlds. The interior has also been overhauled, with a striking new centre console that features a seven-inch, tablet-like screen, but material quality on the doors and dashbaord is passable at best. To make the Clio your own, a vast array of colours and personalisation options are available, both inside and out. Two engines -- an enthusiastic 89bhp three-cylinder 900cc TCe petrol engine and a 1.5-litre dCi diesel with CO2 emissions of only 83g/km -- are brand new additions to the range.

The complaint about the head and leg room in back amused me when there was so much room it made her look minature.
:)) right
But the head isn‘t good tho
@@AR-1806 it is good i am 6.1 and I seat comfortably on the back the only thing is your vision to the front is limited by the roof but head room is about 2 fingers remember I am 6.1 or 1.85 cm
I love the styling of this new Clio. It has four doors and hatchback. But is looks very nice.
Five door
i feel sad when she said 'mom and dad would be happy' because of the airbags, because my dad bought me a car with no airbags just because it was cheap
I feel sorry for you mate :(
i dont think your dad likes you then.
He likes me he just didnt checked for that
Sorry to hear that your parent don't like you
It's a silly comment for a modern review anyway, what car comes without Airbags and ABS/ESP these days.
learned how to drive in this car and damn its a beauty to drive
I love this car so much! My husband has it and now i´m buying my own :) So easy to drive, sleek design/sporty look etc.
Absolutely shocking that you didn't mention the 0.9 3cyl engine had a TURBO, it's like you took it for granted. it has 90 bhp compared to the 75 bhp from the N/A 1.2 4cyl
No one cares?
The clio is the best in its class. euro ncap gives it topscore
I have the 2013 clio and it's amazing. Doesn't consume a lot of fuel and is a really fun city car.
if the buttons and the controls are still OK, why do they have to change it?
great review! gj! are there any similarities in based platform between clio mk2, mk3 and mk4?
Great review also thanks for bringing the banana back.
I want this in North America.
cant wait for part 2 of this vid...
glovebox is limited because this car was actually planned for driving at right. you british are driving at opposite side. clio or megane in my country has really big gloveboxes.
all the electronic stuff is placed under the steering wheel (left side of car). its not affordable to change all their locations. so the british versions get smaller glovebox.
benkimimyaa thank you very much I didn't get why she had problems with the glovebox since I found mine plenty big
By the way I've used VW Polo, Renault Megane Coupe, Toyota Corolla, Audi A3,VW Golf for a certain while. Now I have New Clio during 5 months.Except Audi I'm so pleased to drive it.During whole winter it was a child play to go uphill drive.
I just bought one yesterday. I have to waight for two weeks because it is in stock
The price is good and it drive pretty good. looks good.
I really enjoyed that. The car review was good, too.
I have test driven this car and its one of the best looking in class by far. I think the engine was fine, not powerfull but ok for normal use. The Clio is not as good 2 drive as the fiesta and had much more wind noice. But it cost less money and looks cooler.
I wonder if CarBuyer are contracted to Ford as they always refer to them on nearly every review?????????
Really impressed how the Clio looks. It's a perfect example of Renault's new radical design signature. The wheels on it I'm dumbfounded by. Just seems too bland, completely stands out from the rest of the car. Can't wait for the Zoe review.
The radio and mirror stalks haven't changed in 20 years because they work perfectly fine and this isn't a car to add dashings of wood and chrome to parts put out the way. I have a Dacia that weighs about the same as the Clio with the same 1.5dci engine and gearbox and can say from experience that the 88.3mpg is possible if you are doing 54mph gps with the HGV's in the slow lane of a motorway with clear 20C weather all day. Otherwise expect 50-60mpg in mixed driving.
Indeed. When she said "camping trips to Lake District" it sounded like a day at the beach here in Portugal. But the car is alright.
Nice dip at the end there. :)
damn. nice body. the car looks good too.
Small glove-box and the ridged boot aside, this car seems very nice and I've heard good things about the new 0.9 engine
When your test road and/or track of the sport version RS, the CLIO 4RS?
I rented a diesel Clio in Gar du Nord,Paris in 2004.
It was quite impressive compact car with Oldsmobile 98 Regency feeling.
It was very unusual.-If Clio comes u.s,it should be very hot among young people.
It's not "gar" but _"gare"_
Realy great enjoy to drive it.I compared it to VW Polo and although all the pressures of my sweet wife I preferred to drive new Clio. All eyes were on its amazing colour.
Had a 19 for 10 years thinking of buying it again
Why change what is good and funcional? I love the audio remote controls, Rebecca! Place that behind steering wheel is much better than find the volume control on steering wheel. And the electric rearview mirror control is funcional. Instead of these pointless critics, you should criticise the lack of interior quality comparing the previous generation.
The space interior on back seats reminds me the Clio mk2. I have only 1.78m and my head touch easily on the roof.
Renault Clio is my favorite small car. And this one looks very good.
1:20 What about that huge step you get when folding the seats?
I don't expect it to have one. I wish it had one.
1:24 - OMG, she wedged the seat belt behind the seat AAAAAA
we just love her ...
I was waiting for that
Looks much nicer in person, although those flashy pieces of plastic on the sides and on the dash are unnecessary. For a city car, the 0.9 Tce engine is a great choice.
when will this come with automatic transmission?
Great review! Didn't like the sound when close the door...
5 door as standard which actually looks good and good kit as standard? Definitely up there with the Fiesta and 208.
Nonsense, the TCE 90 bhp 900cc, goes like the wind, its only jerky until you get used to driving it. It will push 1.4 and 1.6s along the motorways, until they get out of the road, I don't understand the part about wallowing in corners, in fact my only criticism is that the suspension seems stiffer which is no bad thing. Do yourself a favour, and test drive this car, it will impress the hell out of you, and you won't look dull as in the VW Polo, which is about exciting as coma !!!
Used to like Renault at one point especially the Clio from 2002-2004....
Why is there no CD player in the 2013 Clio? I’m looking to buy one and it frustrates me that there is none
and you prefer which car in this segment?
Nothing wrong with those audi controls. Work 100%
Nice looking car, but why is the start/stop button on the wrong side of the car (for right hand drive) and is that the cruise control set and accel buttons down in the center console? Who thought that was a good idea?
WOOHOO!! i suggested this car , I WAS HEARD!! :D as whell as the c3 picasso!
Yeah. Let's take the Mercedes ML for example, your smallest engine is a ML350 CDI, but the most common is the ML350 CGI, which is a 3.5 petrol. We also get an ML250 CDI, which is a 2.0 diesel. In hatchbacks, your Dodge Dart I believe is powered by a 2.4 petrol, whereas the vast majority of our hatchbacks of that size are 1.6 or below, and sometimes diesel.
They should have compared it to the new Peugeot 208 as they are very similar which one would you youtubers get?
Rebecca please can you do a review of a Clio RS?
from which level the banana is included in the glove-box? Is it a typical French air freshener?
Clio RS was fun with manual gearbox and 2door, this thing is just a good looker, nothing else....
I don't understand why they always complain about (the lack of) space in the back. It's a mini fcol! If its size you want, get the bigger model, like the Megan or Flouance. Really!
She said it's a 0.9 engine right? There's another 1.2 petrol and 1 diesel right? How many bhp for each of them?
The old Renault G t I that shape look good I still love fords
Looks much better than the old Clio. A test drive is in order
please review new honda civic hatchback !! wondering your ideas about 1.6 i-dtec engine performance, isolation and consumption..
I still can't believe they won't offer a manual with the new sport model... not to mention no high reving engine.
Where did she go at the end? Did a pit just open up? Whatever it was, she didn't seem too concerned about it.
What is the name of background music?
Did they make the branding bigger or am I going mad?
Why change buttons if they are non obtrusive and work well?
What did she mean it has a tendency to roll in the corners?
I really like the shape, skin and body
She can Renault my Clio any day
Bit confused by her point about the interior not being updated? Why fix something that isn't broken or doesn't need improving? I care about the fact that I have buttons to change songs and electronic control of the windows, but I don't care what the controls/buttons look like.
Seems like a good first car for a teenager, it's safe, fuel efficient and reliable
Reliable??? Haha good one.
@@yamahaevo engine is solid I'm at 150k on the clock just suspension really other than that they've done well with MK4 Clio
Can you please review the All New Mitsubishi Mirage
this girl is soooo good! wonderful review
Keep in mind ordering a car and having to wait months for its delivery is unthinkable for the average Joe Blow in the US. Buying/selling has to happen quickly.
European car makers most often sell dumbed-down cheaper versions to the American market. Sometimes they hardly break even on certain models!
Why fix what isn't broken Referring to the audio controls etc.
0.9 Tce petrol engine 90 bhp, 1.2 petrol 75 bhp, 1.5 dci diesel 75 bhp and 1.5 dci diesel 90 bhp. Later it will be available with 1.2Tce petrol 115 bhp and EDC dual clutch gearbox.
More room inside of Fiesta? I disagree. I rode in the back of a Ford Fiesta that my grandfather rented and mom dad and I felt cramped. I am 5'3 and even I felt there was less room. Plus it was hard to get in and out of the fiesta due to the small doors. Even Matt felt cramped in the fiesta he reviewed a few years ago.
what's with these nice guys of carbuyers , there is no review of hatchback cars where they don't mention the fiesta , why is it a reference in this segment there is even better don't you think ??
Video response 4:00-4:20 , from the past and your own channel on the current Ford Fiesta v=bgWetddJnZI Just thought its funny that they are both cramped, but you rate the Clio as more so than the smaller Fiesta... which doesn't seem to be the case
Omg Rebecca, good job down there!
So they haven't updated some of the controls. They have. SAVED MONEY.
simdi ben arabayi burdan alsam (burasi neresi diye sormayin) direksiyon gene sagdami olucak?
beautiful car
Ahmet gurses this is a renalt clio
Sooo beautiful
me too expecting the same and asked Mat & Robbeca in many vids
Well, they choose the Fiesta and Focus because they are the main rivals and drive very competently...
would love a demonstration of the artificial engine sounds
Imo the LED position is better than the rs version.
Suzuki Kizashi review please.
Renault captur review please?
but why fix something that isn't broken? those audio controls are ten times better than the awkward to reach buttons on steering wheels.
Omg where did she go?
Thinking of buying one of this but not sure if I should. Someone who have it and been driving it for 2-3 years please tell me your experience
We've had a 1.5 Dynamique Nav for 3 years and just been replaced with a 2018 model.
Great to drive, quite comfortable suspension though a little firm. Excellent road holding with little body roll. Sharp brakes. Good levels of equipment and nice controls, seats very comfy. Great economy from the 1.5 DCi engine, good performance, happy on motorways. This car does a lot of stop start slow traffic crawling in city locations and still manages to return over 50mpg. Feels like you're driving something quite upmarket and bigger than it is.
The 3 years with the first car? Superb. No breakdowns, no warning lights, no issues at all and that's being totally honest with you. Well, aside the missus putting the poor little car through a pothole at speed, busting the tyre and putting sizeable flat spot on one front alloy!
Please review the clio 1.2 L turbo edc
Kriss Bitar
Is it just me who noticed the tiniest window known to man next to the rear door? LOL
I want it!
Are you telling me that the engine in this car is smaller than the pop i had at tacobell?
They still have roll up windows? I can't think of one car in America that have roll up windows even on the base trims.
true, and they say the craziest things
France are known also for: Airbus and excellent Nuclear Power Stations...which provide a sizeable chunk of electricity to Germany.
should show us a clip of the engine bay etc
+Komruz Zaman It's very boring. You only see plastics.
+Yosi Francos I hate when manufacturers cover up all the sexy bits of the engine with those stupid plastic beauty covers, vw are the worst offenders .
+John Kyon they aren't beauty covers. They are noise covers for the most part.
Simonas Mažeikis they look like shit
Hope this does better for Renault.
My Aunt Today Just Got One of these of Enterprise as her 2012 fiesta in the shop for a idiot rear ending it and i have to say i love the looks of it a lot same colour but no alloys I would consider this when my Fiesta Finance Is Finished Next July.
I hadn't watched the full video yet, should stop commenting before seeing the whole video :)
Honda did it with their old Civic, too.
