I own a black Renault Clio RS 200 with black alloys, absolute love the car, to me style is just as important and I have to say Renault always make good looking cars, if there was one big disappointment with the car is that it has no spare wheel what ever, so be warned if you plan on buying one
+Allan T Renault do make some great-looking cars, especially the smaller ones. I drove the Trophy R a few months ago and it turned more heads than a Bentley Continental.

Every review takes points off for being automatic only, seems like the one thing stopping this car from getting perfect scores is the previous clios.
I sware no one had a cry when the polo gti was DSG only.
New renault clio rs is a amazing car!
This girl has a genuine style unlike the girl in whatcar.
My Clio RS200 is the first auto I've owned and I still find the car fun to drive. I never take it to the circuit to race against anyone, so maybe that's why the gear changes probably don't bother me. And yes, I chose it over the Fiesta ST (which I'd had my heart set on for 12 months before it came time to buy the new car) as I couldn't live with the Fiesta ST on a day to day basis. Clio's suspension so much more forgiving.
Pretty girl but a bit stupid comment, specialy about the gearbox (near all sport cars use automatic twinclutch gearbox)

Damn the Clio has become a huge car. I still remember my tiny Mk1 Clio..

Rather get a Clio 182 in good condition, a nice exhaust and add performance parts to up the power to 220+, a satnav, new suspension and maybe some buckets then still have 8/9k left over for repairs
Finally, the French realize they have to be a bit more generous in order to compete in this segment.

Amazing review, car in the same color/wheels setup that I prefer. No offence, but interiorwise this car is 10x nicer than the FIesta st. I think it's worth the + 2K price.

automatic gears are increasingly advanced and sophisticated..the car goes as fast as a bullet even with the automatic gearbox.

I would have liked to see the paddle shifters tested during more active driving. In my BMW 1-series, there is a substantial delay every time I shift with the paddles while driving calmly. However, if I'm giving it the beans, every gear snap in place pretty much immediately when I flick the paddles.

Nice review, but Fiesta is not as well finished as Clio, and the suspensions and general feeling are more rude for everyday car. Even Clio with sport pack, has a better ride than Fiesta, you can feel it as a superior segment car than Ford. The gearbox is slow.... if you don't use race mode. Race mode can be used everyday, because doesn't affect suspension comfort, or use it in fully automatic mode in the diary traffic jam. But.... Fiesta at least is a very good car and more cheap.
Focus RS has 5 cyl , Golf R has AWD and RS3 has BOTH
Faster and leagues better looking than fiesta, it's either this or 208gti maybe.

Can please someone tell me how can I disable the traction control? ESP/ASR?? there is no button for it like all the cars I know...I tried to call Renault in UK but they don't answered me about this question...
Nir Hason First, put the stick shift in manual mode, then you need to press and hold the RS button beside it, to access RACE MODE. In it, i believe ESP is completely disabled :)

The fiesta ST is the new Cllio RS I feel.With this gearbox and the esp modes I think they r trying to take themselfs too serious.I miss the old clios that were nothing but pure fun...They used to do what the fiesta did with the ST model.Invest all the money into the drivetrain, the suspension and 2 sport seats.
love to own this car at some point in my life! got a basic clio 3 atm. not so fun lol
I have never understood why some hot hatches are made with an automatic paddle shifted gearbox. It's not you are dealing with an Aventador with 700 horsepower. And it's slightly worrying to hear that the French are experementing with making paddle shift gearboxes.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooo,, manual should always be an option on a hot hatch....
An regarding the new rear wheel drive Renault Twingo ,, there is no plans on making a RS version of that... Only two engines will be available,, a NA 999cc with 70 bhp and a flat version of the 898cc TCe 90 making 90 bhp... If the new Twingo is lighter than the Clio TCe 0.9 (1009kg) that 90 bhp could probably make the Twingo feel a little bit sporty...
