people say gta v is not worth upgrading to the next gen but honestly if you can play both of them it is. the smooth frame rate makes it so good to play on the ps5 but as soon as i get to the ps4 version to play with family who hasnt upgraded yet its really hard to get into the first few minutes i mean the graphics and frame rate is rough after playing the ps5 version for a hour then hopping on the ps4. i notice it the most if i need to use a sniper rifle on both versions or looking helicopter blades. due to the low frame rate on ps4 the maverick looks like its 2 rotors spin slow but on ps5 in 60 fps they actually spin fast.
I actually find the GTA V music ruins the experience for me, there is no way to disable the music during missions when I would much rather just listen to the Radio. Its also an issue I have with online, the silence in older GTA games made the games feel more immersive and less action movie-like.
I do wonder how Sa would be if they didn’t shoot down the idea of making it a two disc game. I think it was a mistake to not do it. They didn’t even optimise it that well given there are dozens of interiors never used or even shown to the player.
Oh, no, 25FPS... How about Shadow Of The Colossus? It runs at around 15FPS. 😂 That one actually pushes the limits. PS3 level visual effects on the PS2.
if you don't eat you loose fat, after you lost all fat you start loosing muscle. Muscle is not visual only, it actually affects melee attack damage. Also some side missions in SA gives you more stuff when you complete them, such as more max armor, more max health, driving skill, weapon skill (these two are also increased during gameplay)
I’m stuck in the final mission, upstairs in a burning building. I learned I should have done the firefighter missions, instead of relying on that useless fire extinguisher. I guess I can cancel then go grind for a while.
Not sure, I think I liked it when there was no music during the missions. In cutscenes music is okay for me but while playing, I prefer the game world to be coherent. Music from a radio is okay, but not from nowhere.
I still do wonder why rockstar chose to have RPG mechanics only in SA and not any others. Was there so much backlash in 2004 over this? Great video nonetheless, I'm glad UA-cam is recommending smaller creators to me now.
@@ScorpionWag Also, GTA V had some, which is kind of weird. GTA IV didn't have any, so I question the change. Also, GTA V didn't focus a lot on it, which makes me wonder why they did it. They should have actually fleshed it out, or just redirect resources to other parts off the games

The video is nice but it almost did confuse me quite a lot to understand switching footage from PS2 ones to the defective edition all the time but title was about PS2 one pushing limits. Some OG footage would be nice if u manage to get things up and running. remember definitive edition did remove quite a lot of audio and soundtracks as well. Lots of game did it, including mafia 1 - when re-introduced to steam after being taken down for long time but it did had music in missions originally.

Gta San Andreas is my 3th favorite gta game ever because of it story music characters and side missions and of course main missions and my top 2 gta games are gta 4 and gta v of course
this was a good video, but it's slightly not what i expected, the video basically praises how good of a game san andreas is, which it 100% is ! but from the title i expected heavy focus on the ps2 side of things and technical analysis of how exactly it pushed the ps2 hardware, like talk about the draw distsnce, how the small ps2 ram affected texture quality etc edit : the defective edition footage also had no relevancy to overshadow ps2 gameplay
can't break 30 lol, i'm with ya, currently playing Ark SA on a.. 470? i think its a 470, 4gb card, absolute nightmare haha. i'll upgrade for GTA 6 and if that doesn't cover me for the next 2 decades i'll be amazed. i'm still on a gen 3 cpu currently lol. Gta's always been the measure for me, first pc, first game, can it run III, yes, vice yes, San hell no, then IV came, couldn't find a pc that could run that smooth for at least 2 years. GTA V was heavily toned down just to work on the 360/PS3, it was the first one where it didn't matter how it would run on my pc, it was going to be better without question.
5:48 If you assume working 8 hours a day with Saturday and Sunday free results in a 40 hour week. Add 8 hours for Saturday and Sunday and you are at 56 hours. If you remember that usually people spend around 8 hours a day for sleep then they pushed close to 16 hour days. In order to do that you had to literally live in the office and taking time off for stuff like eating, restroom and taking a shower is already tight. The questions I have is then, how much money did people earn? Should be at least double salary because you work close to 16 hours a day without having two days a week free. The second question would be... if employees got paid double salaries... you try to tell me you could not simply hire more people? Stupid.
Hot take, but I think San Andreas suffered from being on the PS2; it should have been developed first on Xbox. In comparison to how alive, lived-in, and dynamic Liberty City and Vice City felt, San Andreas seemed static and almost dead. A lot of cool particle effects were also removed. Ambient sounds like those in GTA 3 restaurants, buildings, and the cinemas of Portland are preferred. San Andreas lacks environmental ambient sounds, with outside ambient noise limited to wind and periodic gunshots. In GTA 3 and Vice City, different areas had distinct ambient sounds: urban areas had city noises, beaches had water waves with some eagle sounds, and industrial areas had machinery sounds. Which is sad, considering how diverse San Andreas' areas are; it would have really benefited from having diverse ambient sounds for specific areas. Pedestrians are less dynamic; you don't see them calling for taxis, and there are no pedestrians in cars calling for prostitutes (which was a feature in the previous two games). Rampages were removed (I know they were in the PS2 version), but in San Andreas, they introduced multi-level ones which were not as interesting. Before, you had many different areas for rampages; having 30 rampages in 30 different areas, in my opinion, is more fun than having 5 multi-level ones in 5 different areas. Again, considering San Andreas' diverse areas, it would have benefited greatly from that. The cops should be more challenging. The AI for cops and gangs in San Andreas is ridiculously easy; some even run towards you in a line. In Vice City, cops used to take cover behind their cars to shoot at you. There should be more vehicle sub-missions like the Firetruck Rampage in Liberty City Stories or the Pizzaboy missions from Vice City. The color palette and textures from GTA 3 and Vice City, with their darker tones, are preferable in my opinion. GTA 3's gore effects, where you can mutilate body parts with weapons, are more impactful. Death animations in GTA 3 and Vice City corresponded to where you shot the pedestrian, unlike the more simplified animations in San Andreas. The sound effects for weapons in San Andreas are subpar compared to the other two games. I really love the texture of cars in GTA 3 and Vice City. In San Andreas, the texture of cars looked flat in favor of the dirt-on-cars feature; sadly, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories also had that change. Cars in Vice City and GTA 3 had two additional parts that could be damaged. Dynamic cranes: you could see cranes move and operate. No dead body outlines (the white chalk silhouettes when you killed someone). No flying blimps, even though they were still used during the San Andreas timeline. No flying newspapers or leaves. No flying deaddodos with large advertisements. The GTA 2 quirkiness that was in Vice City and GTA 3 is also gone in San Andreas, which made it feel more grounded. The weapons and money lost their colored lights. Cars and helicopters used to have coronas. The map in the PS2 version of San Andreas is not even fully complete; it was complete in the Xbox version of the game. There are too many planes available only to the player in San Andreas, and only five are regularly used. Despite the abundance of planes, airports feel empty, unlike in Vice City and GTA 3, where you could see Airtrains landing and taking off. Summary: Overall, while San Andreas brought many innovations, it lost some of the immersive and dynamic elements that made Liberty City and Vice City feel alive and engaging. This includes environmental sounds, challenging AI, unique vehicle sub-missions, detailed textures, gore effects, and quirky features that contributed to the distinctive charm of the earlier games.
it's funny me going to gta4 feeling cheated with a smaller map no customizable cars not being able to change clothes or hairstyle especially with the lack of cheat codes other than that it gta4 was alright all tho had me wanting to go back to San Andreas.

people say gta v is not worth upgrading to the next gen but honestly if you can play both of them it is. the smooth frame rate makes it so good to play on the ps5 but as soon as i get to the ps4 version to play with family who hasnt upgraded yet its really hard to get into the first few minutes i mean the graphics and frame rate is rough after playing the ps5 version for a hour then hopping on the ps4. i notice it the most if i need to use a sniper rifle on both versions or looking helicopter blades. due to the low frame rate on ps4 the maverick looks like its 2 rotors spin slow but on ps5 in 60 fps they actually spin fast.
Nice video. It deserves more views
crazy how they fit san andress on ps2
nowdays developers struggling optimize their game on a modern pc
My favorite thing about San Andreas is taking over gang territory’s
my man u deserve fame and more subs
I actually find the GTA V music ruins the experience for me, there is no way to disable the music during missions when I would much rather just listen to the Radio. Its also an issue I have with online, the silence in older GTA games made the games feel more immersive and less action movie-like.
Did your CJ hit the Gym? Imagine what GTA Definitive could have been like if they actually took they're remaster seriously
He was hitting the gym for a few days, then i just got lazy and he became skinny asf lmao
i like how fast you can move and drive and shoot in san andreas, in gta v the map is bigger but everything to control is such a slog
I do wonder how Sa would be if they didn’t shoot down the idea of making it a two disc game. I think it was a mistake to not do it. They didn’t even optimise it that well given there are dozens of interiors never used or even shown to the player.
Keep up the good work bro, haters in the comments love to correct small channels but then shut and ride the big ones like their daddies
Oh, no, 25FPS... How about Shadow Of The Colossus? It runs at around 15FPS. 😂
That one actually pushes the limits. PS3 level visual effects on the PS2.
15:53 tbf GTA San Andreas was the first GTA to have music play during cutscenes. It was the first step to having music play during missions.
Vice city does opens up with “broken wings “ playing while Sonny talks
@@mvcentertainment5295 sorry i meant the original soundtrack not the licensed soundtrack.
@@skiddyskiddz2 gotcha 💪
Your channel should be bigger, you make some good content bro!
if you don't eat you loose fat, after you lost all fat you start loosing muscle.
Loose is the opposite of tight,
Loosing isn't a word.
There are some rpg elements in rdr 2 but not a ton
@@ScorpionWag Also, GTA V had some, which is kind of weird. GTA IV didn't have any, so I question the change. Also, GTA V didn't focus a lot on it, which makes me wonder why they did it. They should have actually fleshed it out, or just redirect resources to other parts off the games
@@handsoffmymacaroni102
Honestly 4 felt way scaled down compared to San Andreas, 5 feels like it's playing catch-up, and RDR2 feels like we're finally advancing and I hope GTA 6 carries that energy.
i cant believe how you don’t have atleast 100,000 subscribers with this high quality content, keep it up! i’m subbing
Thanks man
i really hope rockstar up the ante with GTA VI, as in bring back all of the extra stuff you could do in san andreas.as for the map, from what we've seen from the leaks it looks like they're gonna go for a big map with multiple cities/towns.
Great video, my dude! Loved every second of it
Thanks bro
You can flip your car back as long as its in motion
Keep it up bro
Amazing content ❤
My ol azz feeling good training like kungfu cj
Bully's funniest and most heartwarming moments in one place.
All I wanted to do was play San Andreas when I got home from school at 12 years old in 06
4:26 (and multiple other times) San Andreazzz xD Also VCS is set in 1984, not 1982
Wishing GTA VI will be in 1982 or 1980!
All these complaints are valid complaints given your experience and when the game was made.
I did not realize that this is a small channel. High quality content my guy, earned a sub!
Thank you very much man, hope you enjoy my future videos
Really great video, keep it up man!
wish I had your effort and creativity on my channel
This makes me wonder. If Rockstar said. Alright we release GTA SA For Ps3. How would it look then? Because I guess GTA IV Will still be released on Ps3. But GTA V Would be on PS4. Quite interesting to see. They might even had RDR2 For Ps5 then
The video is nice but it almost did confuse me quite a lot to understand switching footage from PS2 ones to the defective edition all the time but title was about PS2 one pushing limits. Some OG footage would be nice if u manage to get things up and running. remember definitive edition did remove quite a lot of audio and soundtracks as well. Lots of game did it, including mafia 1 - when re-introduced to steam after being taken down for long time but it did had music in missions originally.
Yeah sorry about that, will definitely improve it in my next video
Suscribed, great video ❤
Appreciate it bro, hope you like my future videos
how did u not get to experience it ? how old are you ?
i’m only 17 Lol
Ps2 had so many goated games truly the best console of all time
I met co writer of gta San Andreas dj Pooh and thanked him for his involvement in the best video game I’ve ever played.. and told him that it blew me away when I first played it just hearing a video game with the“N word” in it
The saints original color was green but they changed it to purple bc of san andreas funny fact about san andreas groves colors were supposed to be orange thats why you still see OGF tagged on walls in the city of los santos
7:50 why is his walkie talkie glued to his ass lol😂
Lmfao didn't even realize that
Now that I think about it, what other games other than gta have absolutely no original soundtrack, kind of odd.
wasn't the xbox version more detailed
that yellow, along with the lower camera/perspective, is why i've spent 20 years refusing to touch console versions
Ak37 ? 😂😂😂 still good video bro 💯♥️
Gta San Andreas is my 3th favorite gta game ever because of it story music characters and side missions and of course main missions and my top 2 gta games are gta 4 and gta v of course
this was a good video, but it's slightly not what i expected, the video basically praises how good of a game san andreas is, which it 100% is ! but from the title i expected heavy focus on the ps2 side of things and technical analysis of how exactly it pushed the ps2 hardware, like talk about the draw distsnce, how the small ps2 ram affected texture quality etc
edit : the defective edition footage also had no relevancy to overshadow ps2 gameplay
Yeah sorry for that. The definitive edition was the only version i could play it on. And yeah i sometimes ramble on a lot lol
can't break 30 lol, i'm with ya, currently playing Ark SA on a.. 470? i think its a 470, 4gb card, absolute nightmare haha.
i'll upgrade for GTA 6 and if that doesn't cover me for the next 2 decades i'll be amazed. i'm still on a gen 3 cpu currently lol.
Gta's always been the measure for me, first pc, first game, can it run III, yes, vice yes, San hell no, then IV came, couldn't find a pc that could run that smooth for at least 2 years.
GTA V was heavily toned down just to work on the 360/PS3, it was the first one where it didn't matter how it would run on my pc, it was going to be better without question.
i believe max payne 3 is rockstar's first game with an in mission ost
How are you gonna complain about the lack of background music in the GTA with the best radio stations
Stupid.
9:32 saving the game or dying also resets the hunger timer
You couldn’t even google when VC was set in? And when VCS was set in too? 😂
3:45 this isn’t a fair representation of what it really looked like unless you captured that on modern capture hardware
I could’ve sworn it ran and looked better than that. I put so many hours at the airport in that game 😂
yellow fog is preferable then rendered backgrounds and view distance ? what ?
I enjoyed your video but I think you digressed a lot from topic. But overall your production quality is good.
Yeah sometimes I can ramble on a bit lol, trying to work on it
