Stephen Smith Not only that; he probably came up with the lead guitar part on the first day he heard it, in the studio when they recommend it - as Brian Epstein was notoriously stingy regarding time spent in the studio.
Oh, and if they all had formal lessons, then I don't think George and Paul would have had to traipse across town in search of the ever illusive B7th chord.
Nor would Paul and George have had to teach John how to play guitar chords, rather than the banjo (uke?) Ones he was using when he met them.

Everybody makes the same mistake, treating George's overdub track as the primary lead guitar, and it wasn't meant to be......listen to the 1963 mono mix (and the 1963 stereo mix if you have it.....) and watch the ed sullivan performances. That was George's lead part, not this. In 1966 Parlophone ordered a new stereo mix of this song, since they were apparently unaware of the 1963 mix. That mix inetvertently put the overdub out front while completely burying the proper George part. Listen to the original single. Watch the Sullivan footage. Come back and tell us what you learned. Otherwise, great job, keep it up.

    • @AblyHouse
      @AblyHouse 6 років тому +7

jerome3004 - The way George plays it live on Ed Sullivan is not the way he played it on the recording and is not 'the george' part. I included the way George plays it on Ed Sullivan for the final verses. The overdub is on the mono and stereo mix. Listen to the out takes and you can hear George does not play the chromatic riff from D to E. It was always an overdub until they played live

Best music app or software to isolate
    different instruments within a song:
    (1) Izotope's RX
    (2) ADX Trax Pro 3
P.S. Someone said that there is no software for
    isolating different instruments
within a song. You can reduce some
areas of the frequency spectrum using EQ.
The only way to have the instruments in a
    song separated out is to
    obtain the original multi-track stems.
    Is this true? Anyone? Thanks.

George had great taste. Let's not forget Paula and Ringo on this one. They're really in a groove all song long.

By trying to cover up the Electromatic logo on your Jet you've made it look worse because it's noticeable. I don't see the point in doing that personally. It is what it is.

It really hurts my brain that you aren’t following the correct structure of the actual song...
