    Thank you so much for this review, you guys just literally settled an agonizing internal debate about what running watch to get. I have seriously been researching for the best watch for me for about 2 months lol. I will be upgrading from a Samsung galaxy active as I have gotten more into my running and will be doing my first halfmarathon in a couple months. The galaxy active just is not cutting it for me anymore. The battery life is HORRIBLE, especially on long runs. I have even had it die out or freeze on me in the middle of a run, the HORROR! We all know if it's not recorded by your watch it didn't happen 🤣. Anyways you guys are great and have completely sold me on this and I will be showing to my husband for a Christmas gift idea for me 👍🏾👍🏾

      Hey Kiera, Mike here. Thanks for your kind words, we all appreciate it. Having run with the Active/Active 2, I absolutely know what you mean. Once you get more serious about running/training, smartwatches don't really cut it at the moment. The Pace 2 has impressed us all, especially given the price. Its smartwatch features are basic, but it has plenty for runners here. If you have any other questions, just let us know.

    At the 7:00 you mention you run target by HR or Pace. With the Power integration, can you structure a workout by Power (especially if able to paired natively with Stryd)? Are you able to structure run workouts where you can progress to the next step via a "manual lap press"? If you program in an interval run based on time, are you able to display the remaining time left in interval with Power (or whatever the target is) on the same screen? Thank you.

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  4 роки тому +1

      Hi, at the moment Theo only targets are HR or pace, no power, but I (Nick) wouldn't be surprised if it was something Coros added down the line. You can't progress via a lap press unfortunately, which I'd like to be able to do especially after the warm up. You do see time left plus your target on screen with time intervals though

    Hello from Italy!
    I'm now using a Polar Grit X and i see no differences about sensors comparing to the Pace 2. In addition Pace 2 is lighter, is cheaper, it has screen and data fields for elevation, and baro trends (Polar Grit has baro just in the activity mode).
    So i'm considering to change my Grit.
    Lack of "Trail run" mode is a bad issue or i can have the same "mountaint" data in "Outdoor run" mode?
    Great review as always!

    Thanks for the review, really interesting piece of kit that I'll be looking out for on UK release! I know you compared so Ignite and FR45, but what about vs Polar Vantage M/FR245 for a multisport watch which can be found at close to £200?

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  4 роки тому

      Hey Thomas, Mike here. So I think with Polar Vantage M, you're getting a bit more in the way of the training analysis/insights. The M is also a good multisport option and you're maybe getting a slightly nicer look. The 245 has more in the way of smartwatch features (music, payments, apps) than Pace 2 if that's something you value. The 245 though also lacks an altimeter and open water swimming, which you do get on Pace 2 for instance.

      @@TheRunTesters Hey Mike, thanks for the response. Coros seems to really hit all the checkmarks for me to finally replace my Suunto Ambit3. I don't really value the additional features as I only wear my watch for workouts, and accuracy side I have an H10 HRM already. I guess the only other consideration is whether it's worth getting a FR935 refurb

      @@thomasneddon I upgraded my Ambit3 and went for the Coros Apex 46mm a couple of months back. No regrets, a fantastic watch and I am sure that we will probably see yet a few more updates to it before it is replaced with the Apex 2, hopefully.

    I just got this watch two days ago and it fits like a dream! One question I have is about the bottom right button. It seems that if you click it with enough force to not actually click the button, it makes this slight clicky sound like there is slack before pressing. Is this normal or some sort of feature for sport watches? (Its my first gps watch ever and Im worried if I should have it checked right away or not)

    Great review guys. My only comment would be that your statement "you can't swim with the nylon strap" is a little misleading. There's really no reason why you can't, but if you do you'll want to blot it firmly with a towel afterwards or it'll wet your clothes because it does retain moisture for a while.

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Rob, Mike here. Thanks for the comment. Agree, you probably could swim with it, but I'd definitely rather use something that I don't have to worry about drying with a towel after a swim.

    Hi there! What is your general stance on Coros v Garmin in regards to HR accuracy and GPS accuracy? Casual runner, walker, cycling and HIIT. Not looking for the fullest featured watch, just most accurate. Thank you in advance! Love your videos!

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 роки тому +2

      Hey, Mike here. I think the consensus in the team is that you should pair up an external heart rate monitor to give you the best HR accuracy for things like HIIT/interval training. For general running, these wrist sensors actually do an okay job and Coros has improved performance since the first Pace. We'd still say pair up a chest strap if you a relying on those heart rate insights.

What's your opinion compared to garmin connect.

    I loved my Coros Pace 2 but the bezel has just stopped working 4 months after two year warranty expired. Customer service refuse to replace so feels like a total waste of money. My Garmin forerunner 305 lasted about 15 years. Really disappointed Coros only lasted 28 months. They’ve lost a life long customer. Would not recommend them.

    Thanks for the review but I don't see the point of comparing it to the Ignite (I own it as and use it concurrently with the FR935) other than the price given that the Ignite is more of a "fitness tracking" watch with the great ANS recovery with sports tracking being a big afterthought, hey it doesn't even have a LAP button ;-)

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  4 роки тому

      Hi, while the Ignite is skewed more towards fitness, there's plenty on it that caters for runners too and at the price it's definitely in the mix. We'd disagree that the sports tracking is an afterthought.

      Hi David, if you can see yourself running a lot and developing into something of a regular obsessions then this could be a good starting point. Though if you're still feeling your way and you're not 100% sure you'll still be running in 6 months, then there are some cheaper options that might be less of an investment. Hey Mark, Mike here. So I managed to put some treadmill time in with it. I ran with it alongside a Fenix 6, which I've been calibrating over time to make sure treadmill accuracy was more reliable. I found it usually was pretty much in line with the Fenix. You also have the ability to calibrate on Pace 2 as well to get more accurate results.
