6:51 Right as you say "spoiler alert, I'm not doing a very good job at finding them", in regards to finding the secrets in levels, you walk right past what appears to be a breakable wall that probably has a secret hidden behind it. lol
There are multitools mk2 that actually help you find secrets, they are pretty rare, but there's definitely at least two of them on lvl1 and lvl2. I found one on level 2 and carried it right to the end XD
Been waiting a long time for this one. It's like I gave the developer a list of things and an outline and the game was custom made for me. Checks all the boxes, even boxes I didn't know I had.

normally I am not a huge fan of Railshooter but maybe I will give it a try. Nowadays I just play strategy games and the one or another card game. So calm games you know. Maybe its time to play something more action packed.
How front and centre is the narrative in this? I ask because with halflife it had a really good narrative driving it forwards, and it did a really good job balancing action with story, and that's why I loved it more than a whole load of other shooters since, and why I have sortof not played many at all in the intervening years. My last fps with really strong narrative driving it forwards was Prey, but that had an ending I didn't like, where it was all just a dream/hallucination to win you over to humanity's side, so I never finished it at all, but leading up to that I was absolutely in to the story and loved every minute.
Excellent stuff man🙂🙂 So I love boomer shooters, fps, atmosphere, gZ doom, secrets, upgrading guns, secrets, puzzles. So Selaco is $29.25 Canadian for me. So would you score it a 9.2 out of 10? Worth full price?
Game is good, alot of settings to tweak as you like. Ridiculous settings still give me 350fps in 1440p ^^ Secrets are to hard to find for my taste tho.
its a shame that i thought after the demo and waiting ages we'd be getting the full release but its just the early access that will take on their estimate, until late 2026 to be 1.0. It's okay though looks like a great game and I'll pick it up regardless to support them.
Utopian, dystopian...same thing. It all comes down to you're the guy with the gun(s). Looks good, though. I've been eyeing this one for awhile, but kind of burned out on the all the new retro-ish FPS like Prodeus, Supplice, Ion Fury, etc. I like the look of it, though. Enough maybe to get past the FPS ennui.
game is great controller support is borked though, keeps trying to trac the dpad as a actively used analog stick, which is annoying when entering codes

Those weapon animations are ultra clean and pretty original.
USS Sulaco is the ship from Aliens if they are wondering why the name is familiar. Geuss we can pretend to be Hicks while playing this.
I was wondering why I kept wanting to call this game SU-laco instead of SEL-aco

You can go back to the first level by walking right up to the door.
Gave it a test drive today. Loving it! More then pleased after playing through the demo times ago
cant wait for this to leave early access the demo was great
I think this is the best way to do a low fi stroke hi fi graphics in a game plus the frames on the gun chef kiss

Playing in higher difficulties makes it for a very intense experience. The demo was great.

It looks just like tricorder). Liked the reference.
Makes me miss ONI even more than i always do.
The art reminds me of Starmade - pixelated/simple but still looking soo good (and lot of emission too) :)
0:15 " a boomer shooter .. " .. i ll get you for this @splatter!!!
Thanks for the video man!
This looks good and sounds really deep, actually.
I normally don't pre-order or do Early Access for games... This just might be the exception to the rule.
Thanks for doing the follow up video.
This game is great.. And technically impressive.
I remember trying the demo of this game and being too stupid to get past the tutorial. Didn't even get to the point where I had a gun.
Full controller support! Nice!
Thanks, Splatt!
A selaco update? Hell yes

OK so who's betting that the character's hallucinating and mowing down innocent people?
The code pad with the code written right there. game designers
In the demo the code was actually hidden behind the note board. You had to shoot that down to get the code. No idea why that was changed xD
