I've dated an Indian guy (in fact I find Indian guys attractive.) After he shower I can smell curry spices on his skin. His home also smells like curry, in his bedroom as well. I'm not saying every Indian does or its a bad thing at all. I'm just saying that I can smell it and maybe you can't because you're used to the curry smell.
As an Indian, I would advice indians that we should stop worrying about reactions of other countries towards India....because I believe after 5-7 years they would be the ones searching india willingly 😃😉

I am from Singapore and we are a multi racial society. I have many India friends. We went to school together, work together, served in the Army together and my neighbors are Indians. I like Indian food especially the North Indian curry. My general impression of Indians are that they are like most Chinese in terms of family ties, children education, social behavior and hard working.. Consequently, Indian and Chinese co-exist very well in Singapore. Inter-marriage is quite common. Although Chinese formed 76% of the population, we have accepted an Indian as our President. Several of our Cabinet ministers are ethnic Indians. On religion, there is something unique in Singapore. An Indian Temple is built side by side next to a Chinese temple. Quite often some Chinese worshippers after praying in the Chinese Temple crossed over to the Indian Temple and pray and give offering. I don't think you can see this happen in any other country.

By curry they mean spices (masala). It's used too much in our food. If you have eaten American food like Burger/Pizza, you will notice it tastes very different from our spicy food.

As a Chinese, I would say that India is much better than China in terms of movies. It's like the difference between primitive man and modern man. Indian films are very watchable and deep. It's a part of dish, and apart from curry we've got some best dishes in the world in fornt of which even Italian would fail.

I appeal to all my Indian friends not to use foul language in your postings. There is no need to get too upset about what a few Chinese say about Indians during a casual street interview. I worked in China for many years and found they do respect Indians because they have inherited Buddhism from India. If the interviewer were to interview some people who worked in a multinational company alongside an Indian the view would perhaps be different. Let us face it we do have terrible views about other than our own community in India. North vs South, Bengalis vs Assamis or Biharis vs the rest. Let us not pick on Chinese here in an uncivilized manner. It does not help our image, rather tarnishes it.
