@@vaasmontenegro2016 Publicly shaming people is the BEST and easiest way to get people to change negative traits about themselves. The thing is though you have to give them a reasonable and achievable "out". Meaning you need to shame them but also give them a path for redemption. Shaming doesn't help if there isn't a way to become better and end the shaming. Like bullying someone about their looks. If their face is just ugly or disfigured and there's nothing they can do to fix it then shaming them will only hurt them. But bullying them for something that they can change, like being fat, absolutely can help them. Why has the United States (and the West in general) had such a massive surge of negative traits in their population over the last 30-40 years? Because people are soft and unwilling to tell each other the uncomfortable truth, and those that do are then shamed themselves for being "mean". So we're shaming people for doing something that positively effects people in the long run while at the same time encouraging and often even praising negative behavior that hurts people. That's a big part of the reason why our society is in the shitter.

That’s not true at all. For example, (1) Americans are literally _the_ most charitable people on earth. We rank no. 1 out of all countries for donating to charity, _sacrificing_ our own money to help others. (2) America is a very workaholic country compared to… virtually everywhere else. Americans regularly _sacrifice_ leisure for work. Even people who are middle and upper class, who could afford to make less money, still work at least a 40 hour week, without fail, until retirement age in their 60s or 70s even. And we like sitting around and napping in the day and having time off just like anywhere else… but we don’t do that. Why? Because culturally it is ingrained in us that you need to work as much as possible and as hard as possible to contribute to your family and the greater society. It is frowned upon here if you could be making more money for your family but choose not to. (3) As a country, America regularly comes to the financial and military aid of its allies. More than any other nation on earth. Many Americans feel this is a moral responsibility as both the most militarily and economically powerful country the world has ever known. This is a sacrifice in money and lives.
He isn't lying about this. I was watching a tour video in India earlier and the American guy touring went into a motel to see how much it would cost. Americans know it’s screwed up , but there’s less willingness to sacrifice to stay together for the family, possibly because they see it as better for the family if they split up anyway…

"In this country, they don't sacrifice." Words of wisdom, my friend, you hit the nail on the head! Of course, no one wants to sacrifice. It's hard. Most things in life worth doing are. However, without sacrifice, you will never experience true love. Sacrifice is how you show others that you love them more than your own comfort. And I've heard a lot of stories of just literal familial abuse that continues because people feel so obligated to their families even when they're being taken advantage of. To a less extreme degree I think that obligation stifles a lot of personally held ambitions and dreams. It's not all negative though and the family support in more positive conditions and closeness are really a good thing. I've also seen 50+ countries across the world and most parts of the European western world aren't as hyper individualistic as the US but American individualism is rooted in its history, the settler mentality. Going it alone is a cultural priority, and that manifests in people's willingness to cut off people. It's isolating, and undermines social harmony but it does create a sort of toughness and well-roundedness. I know Indian guys especially who can barely tie their own shoelaces. @sdawg573

It's a country without any history or identity. It's basically a 300 yr startup. And familial abuse? This doesn't happen anywhere else? Lol.

@@rousinrabbleno, the solution isn’t to bring back slut shaming, or bring back bullying. These are all bad ideas rooted in the belief that everyone acts this way because nobody tells them they shouldn’t, when in reality they were destined to fail from the start.
@vaasmontenegro2016 Well, it did work because as soon as we stopped, look at what happened. Women need to be called out for the hoes they are. And you just let the world know you think it's OK to spread your legs for every Tom, Dick and Harry. Have a good day!
It's not a bad thing. They are enjoying life. They are not living like slaves without any rights/standard of living.

You say that but America is clean and not one gigantic landfill
Right behind the receptionist desk in the motel was a sign on the wall that said "Unmarried couples not allowed".. that blew my mind. But in a good way.

I know divorce is common for even small reasons in America but Indians who don't feel family pressure do that too. That's a perspective n attitude thing, n therapy n parenting can raise people to figure that out.
But divorce is necessary, n we don't want people in America or India to stay in abusive relationships or with people when they realise it's wrong even after marriage.
It's not like India doesn't have a long history of cheating, abuse, wife trafficking etc. either. It was such an issue it often found its way into movies and porn.
And people were forced to marry even if they wanted to focus more on their life at the moment, or didn't think they could handle that responsibility then. Marriage isn't the best thing in India, n while certain very few people are privileged enough to find happy homes or marry someone they trust n love n celebrate marriage for that, for most it's still a compulsion and another step away from being able to live out a full life.
Soon he’ll be followed around, labelled a terrorist & placed on a watch list 😂
@@-aeshe-4951 india definitely has issues, ofc since it has a HUGE population and high poverty compared to usa. Still, usually families don't break and are quite happy. Still, there are lasting families in usa that are much better than indian but its not everyone nowadays
@@mdarks4117 they'll call him a homophobe for no reason, just cuz he said "culture" and "tradition" since that and lgbtq Don't go hand in hand. They ironically call indians "orthodox and narrow minded"
@@ibrahimzaheer6582 Lol and if he is a homophobe? Waddya think about that? Because someone being a homophobe itself is something that should be seen as okay to them, considering they preach “diversity” and “inclusion.” They should “include” “diverse” opinions as well, but they only allow things that align with their ideology
The Us government need to add step Fathers day in their calander 😂💀
He said when a good marriage is broken, you fix it, not throw it away.
That's true. Only toxic marriages that involves physical altercations are broken but simple blabbers and arguments can be remedied. Learning from your old mistakes and try to be a better person. Not only it helps people have more self awareness but also be aware of how it would affect people around them and especially their young children. Relationships and family should last more than 30 years because that's where you'll find meaning in life. Leisure is important but that's just a spice or a condiment to life. Individualism loses its charm when you reach that age where you seek security and solitude.
You'd feel secure knowing that your kids are doing good, you would enjoy solitude when you don't need to say anything for your spouse to understand you and that enjoying each other's company while watching grass growing in the backyard.
We should always remember that no man is an island as humans are social creatures

In the US women throw away a marriage before they even know if it's good or not. Gotta get that "practice marriage" in somehow. 🙄

We have gropers in india. Literally no women in streets.

Family is the basic unit of a country. Parents must realize that divorces cause massive trauma to children. If you want to build a future generation who are loving, kind, compassionate and emotionally stable, stick together in hard times.

Hurray arranged marriages! Let’s ask Indian women if they feel the same way
"They change woman or man like a cloth"!😂 So true!😂
Some times it is needed. One could marry the most charming person. And find out that their spouse is abusive. And also could be perverted.
like my ex-husband.
Right. So we should shame men and women who are promiscuous, but you do agree it goes both ways right?
Hopefully you're not part of the red pill who thinks men with a lot of women should be praised, but it should be the opposite for women.
Not true. It’s because they don’t tolerate abuse or infedility

Sadly he speaking truth while staying in USA..
Americans very honest and open abt giving and recieving feedback!!
Well in India most people get married out of obligation and divorce is rarely on the table even if the couple actively hate each other. There's pros and cons in both sides.
As an American he speaks the truth
No he doesn’t. They have arranged marriages in India. The men cheat a lot. This is just more anti western propaganda. The west has always supported monogamy. It wasn’t until massive Jewish influence on media/academia/psychology that divorce/porn/promiscuity etc etc has entered our culture. This is what the media wants you to believe so you reject your identity and history and accept a new consumerist one. Google the Kalergi plan. They hate us and want us gone. None of this is the truth. Accepting it is their goal
Yeah there's a lot wrong with western society the hipocracy has never been greater than it is now
America is freedom
He doesn't, but you gotta look into it bit.
He has a point but it’s hypocritical because “arranged marriages” are still common place in India. Imagine being forced to marry someone because someone else told you it was right? Hard pass.
I'm sure this will ruffle the feathers of some self-centered snowflakes who think the world revolves around them, but if everyone subscribed to this broken ideology, we wouldn't have a functional society. Which is, unfortunately, where we are headed as a country.
Yes but the women do - Interesting how when you can't escape the marriage, the chances of abuse increases expedientially- and India happens the be the place where you can buy acid on the treet, knowing that women have acid thrown in their faces, get blinded and lose their face for the rest of their lives!!
Why would we if we don’t have to.
Not true in the slightest 😂
Those who prefer 'sacrifice' over 'no sacrifice' for the same outcome are just basically admitting they are dumb.
have you heard of slavery mf? 😂
"Yaz sir, cultures things..."
I'm a Indian but I didn't like this Indian culture because of some unnecessary activities like widows and child marriage, etc..

He is absolutely right. And it goes beyond race. It's definitely an American thing. The family structure and marriage in this country is broken..😢

No it's a WESTERN thing.. it's the same in the UK too
Absolutely
