- And now for something completely different.
In retrospect I'm not convinced that Breakables actually interact with the Dynamic Loot system. They definitely do in remake, but here is seems like it's only enemy drops.
The Trainer that I used to get the gun from the start is available on Nexus Mods, and I didn't boot it up again after the first play session.

I figure leon got standard secret service pay plus a hazard stipend and a dinner from the president as a personal "thank you". Probably light duty while he wrote reports and recovered from his injuries. Keep in mind leon was essentially forced to be a government asset, so the fact that he was alive at all after being recovered in the aftermath of the raccoon city outbreak was payment enough. Others have researched his compensation package on reddit lol

When I was a kid I beat RE4 with Red9 and knife. Never touched any weapon not even sniper when needed. Beating the game with Red9 is easy enough when you get to the point beating it in hardest difficulty.
A fun thing for the hedge maze is that as long as you move the camera upwards (Hold up on the control stick)and as long as you keep running you won’t get hit (also you can get the red9 before Ashley by just going to the merchant in the secret passageway before going into the castle)
It works for most enemies as, already mentioned in the video, game has limited resources.
Enemies become less aggressive and ganados won't even throw stuff at you if you can't see them
This video would be unwatchable and pretty boring if it weren’t for your commentary. Perfectly engaging all the way throughout and funny. It isn’t broken, don’t fix it
Just a note, Dr. Salvador actually can be reliably stunned for a melee attack. You need to just bait an attack and shoot his face. I've never had it fail unless I went for the knee for some reason. Just a little tip for ya.
Not only that, but you can actually do this with the knife, if you knife him in the head... its dangerous though but you can kill him with literally 0 ammo

dude I watched most of this video without checking the stats of it, this is crazy good work for a smaller channel, astonishing to me that you have better voice over quality than most other content creators that make this kind of stuff lol. you should have shot Sandler's face eye rather than his torso.
if you didn't know after destroying all of Sandler's eyes (two in front and two in back) his face eye will be permanently open for you to shot and stun him.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but if you want a tip to deal with the Novistadors more easily, wait till they're fyling. If they're flying, EVERY shot at them will kill. You'll only need 1 bullet instead of more, saving more ammo. At the Novistador Nest after Ashley is kidnapped, there's an easier and safer way to deal with' em: go back to the door and jump through the window to the left. The Novistadors won't be able to pass through the windows and you can one-hit kill every one of them while they're flying. Also, the zip line straight at a J.J. does not kill him. Every time I did it, he only suffered damage. Maybe you shooting at him helped?

No he's not, it was known for...literal years.
The only thing Dante discovered is the limit of yelling dumb jokes before they become annoying

29:28 actually, in the original RE4, any airborne enemy will die in one hit. Don't know why they made that design decision, but it's true for professional as well iirc

That buff you mention right at the start is only applicable to the *North American* Gamecube release. They gave that particular version different weapon stats for some odd reason. The worst example of this is the bolt-action rifle's damage nerf to its exclusive upgrade; without it, it's objectively inferior to the semi-auto rifle. At least it the other versions the BAR's massive exclusive damage gives it one advantage.

I assume you did it so that you made sure you got kills with the red 9, but seeing you skip over like 90% of the kick/suplex opportunities you had, especially with the shield enemies, made my instincts crawl.
Whenever I see someone grab their head or get on their knees in this game, it's like my brain turns monke mode and I will sprint through a group just to kick them lol
13:19 I do that too in 4, and I didn't play the remake yet. i think inventory was on face buttons in all mainline games, it's on start only in this and the very first one

I tried this challenge once a few ywars ago. Got stuck at Krauser, and had like 450 bullets. Good work
In the original and remake i only use blacktail for handguns. Tried the red 9 with and without the stock in both, and i came to the conclusion that the blacktail is just all around better. Less space, faster fire rate, easier to hit shots even with the high fire fate, and higher dps overall. Not bashing anyone who used red 9 or anything else, just saying i personally never liked using the red 9 in either game tbh.
In the OG I really liked the Red9. It's very debatable that the damage on the Red9 was a great trade off against the Blacktail. In the Remake though, the Red9 feels so bad that it'd never be my first choice.
I did runs with the Red 9 and Blacktail only. At some point they were too good that it made the game boring.

Did you know in some resident evil 4 beta versions the knife is actually a item that takes up space in the inventory and is unequipable just like the remake
Wait, why didn't you shoot the bottom portion of the enemy shields to expose the legs, shoot said legs to make them keel over, then use a kick to knock them down and the shields off entirely?

You can buy ammo in re4. You buy a gun, sell it, and the ammo stays in your inventory. Dont need to buy the red9 over and over.
Completed this game 2 times, never bought guns other than the free one you get with medallions
The gamecube version maps the inventory to y as well. So it always throws me off when I play ResE4 on another console and it opens the map.

If you ever do a pistol only run in this game again, if you have a ton of money, you can buy the handgun, discard it, and the ammo stays. At least, I think it does. If thats true then you can buy ammo at a very expensive scale :o

What's funny is I think Jonathan Ferguson from Gamespot's "Firearms experts reacts" series said the same exact thing about the Red9 being a rather bad pistol and/or a rather bad rifle when he was looking at RE4 Remake's guns

Come on, you don't need to mod the gun into the beginning of the game. Simply beat it without using any yellow herbs, or upgrading your inventory, then use new game plus and sell all your stuff. Easy!
The only other handgun that even comes close to the red 9 is the blacktail but yes and its actually quite easy and I don't have to watch your video to know that literally can kill the first boss the giant like nothing
