This is a fantastic song! A return to a more classic rock sound! Absolutely love it! Europe are an amazing band! You must listen to their other albums, you've missed a lot!!
All the members from The Final Countdown era are in this video actually After that album, they only had one change with main gutiarist, when John Norum left & he was replaced with Kee Marcello who went with the band on the tour & was involved with 2 next albums "Out Of This World" & "Prisoners In Paradise" and around that time they broke up, but reunited around 2003-2004 with John Norum (so original guitarist) back in the squad again & since then, there were no more changes + they have 11 albums, so we can expect in about a year or so their 12th album :D
Hey, your video just popped up on my feed and being a huge Europe fan I had to watch it! I actually just came back from their concert in Milan, Italy, from their current Time Capsule Tour, and they managed to light up a whole theatre (2500 people) for three hours straight with a top level performance on all aspects. It was my third time seeing them live, and I also got lucky enough to meet Joey Tempest earlier in the afternoon before the concert. They also included this new song on the setlist and it was even better listening to it live, it has a great groove and so much energy. I suggest you to pick up their albums since their reunion (in order: Start From the Dark, Secret Society, Last Look at Eden, Bag of Bones, War of Kings, Walk the Earth). Each one has its own unique sound and influences, as Europe has been experimenting a lot since they came back in 2004. And there are some masterpieces in these albums as well. And to answer one of your doubts: these are indeed the very same members who produced The Final Countdown. Glad you like the new song! Apparently many Europe fans don't, mostly because they're nostalgic of the 80's.
Norum's guitar solo is bolstered by Michaeli's keyboards... somethung theyve been doing since "Seven Doors Hotel". You need to do a reaction to Europe's epic NO STONE UNTURNED
Do you think they were inspired by Queen II album for the cover for this song? The picture looks so much as Queen II cover to me. Do you think it is a homage or just inspiration? I am a fan of both bands and I can't ignore the similarity. I'm sorry for my bad english.
Great live band.much prefer their material after the millennium than their 80s stuff although prisoners in paradise is an amazing album unfortunately caught up in the grunge era
Hmm. It's difficult. It's a great song but as always with Europe, I'm left with the feeling of wanting a more authentic rock sound and less polished production.

To me, it still captured that nostalgia, just in a more modern sound. I'll definitely check those out! Thanks for watching!
Another catchy melodic rock song to add to their huge archive

I agree it is! I actually did one for a live version of that song, but I had a technical problem and the video was unusable :(
