Still hitting them high notes brother Colin. And I love how you squeeze in that little saxophone part on the guitar in the rhythm. Thank you so much for bringing this song to the world and to our life experience. Love it!
As a man who’s now 58 years old and has suffered from OCD since my mid teens I have often gone back to this song when it rears its ugly head. It has been a source of comfort and inspiration for me. Thank you, Mr. Hay. (Obviously my favorite M.A.W. song)
Really enjoyed seeing you at the Fretboard Summit! The music & the stories were very entertaining. Thanks for playing there & sharing your talent with us.
60 Year old Veteran, I was 17 and going through my I-E-Ts Aust Reg Army when this was released - first heard it and saw him at the Pier Hotel Frankston! Man, as time goes by...
First time I heard this song, I was a 12 year-old kid in the early 80’s. Now, I’m a 54 year-old grandfather, and this song is still as magical to me as it was back then.
This took me straight back to the first time I put Men At work on my turntable. I still have the album. Great performance. Absolutely timeless. Thank you Mr Hay, from sunny South Africa.
Colin is always touching my heart with his singing he got me everytime. Pray that one day I'll be able to see him live in France and shake hands with him and tell him how much his music resonates inside
The reason why I'm here is that this song sticked to my brain since I was 9 years old. Now I'm 49. I love Colin Hay's voice👍😘😍 Forever classic hit song of his former band Men At Work..
Love you Colin ! Thanks for all the great music. I was a teenager when this came out and I had to go buy the album right away. Played it all the time. Great memories 😊
First time I heard this song was on the U.S.S.Enterprise off the coast of Australia early eighties just before pulling into port there....best of times. Thank you Colin...
I always look for a song that I like when the dust has settled and I find it toned down out of the current sound that it had been released in and just be good music and appreciate the lyric. This was 80's, I believe??? 80's saw the death of good rock, and more smooth sounds. It was ok...but anyone who could make a video for MTV, which was just music then, got heard. Some were dreadful...ok, mist were dreadful. But, if the lyrics were good, they would hold on. This is one and I'm glad to hear it now. I am happy for UA-cam...and I understand why musicians may not, but I can enjoy this...otherwise, I wouldn't of heard it. Thanks for bringing it here. ❤
Still a fantastic song after all these years. In fact, it's probably more relevant to me now that I'm in my 50s. And Colin is still bringing in a major way. Outstanding performance, sir!
This is what I've been looking for. A truly recent video of Hays singing. I wanted to hear how his voice has held up... and now we can all agree that it's held up remarkably well! Chills.
I remember going to the record store in the nearest ‘big’ town near where I grew up (we had a TG&Y that had some records but just a little display, nothing really good) and the big record company push for Business as Usual was on, and there was a big yellow section. I hardly ever bought a record that was new or popular so I mostly ignored it, but the counter guy said I should get the record, that I’d really like it. So, being an impressionable 12 year old I did. I think I listened to that record on repeat for months, with ‘Down by the Sea’ kind of taking the lead spot. ‘Who can it be Now’ and ‘Down Under’ were on the radio all the time, but that was the song for me. Such a great record and when the band finally came to play my mom made my brother take me. It must have been a chore to have to hang out with his goofy little brother but I’ll never forget hanging out with my big brother that night. Just a dumb story from a long time ago but man some bands really leave a mark, don’t they?
Absolutely excellent this man's voice has not changed in the last 45 years and still singing strong. Thank you Colin Hay and you're perfection to music..👍💯😊
This song never gets old regardless of the format
It really doesn’t
Still hitting them high notes brother Colin. And I love how you squeeze in that little saxophone part on the guitar in the rhythm. Thank you so much for bringing this song to the world and to our life experience. Love it!
God, he is fabulous. Thank you, Colin. You’re a gem, Sir.
Beautiful song from a beautiful heart.
Thank you. This song let me know as a young adult that I was not the only person worrying needlessly.
Same here. The first song I ever truly fell in love with
Yes, it must have been a beacon for many of us over the years. 😁
This comment... 💯💚💚💚
55 now and, man, going back to the music of the 80s brings me to tears every time~~~
Also 55. We grew up with his music. Great song. Great memories of the early days of MTV.
Same for this 69 model, Cheers from Childers Qld.
Ditto. 1983 will always be the year of Business As Usual for me
55 here and Amen to all of those comments ^^
Thank you Mr Colin Hay for sharing your talents and stories with all of us, all of these years. May it be ever so. Cheers. 🙏

My favorite so far is Overkill, I still need to listen to a couple of songs. I'll be sure to make Down By The Sea the next one.
