There is not a bad Steve Miller song! Next please do Wild Mountain Honey
Roger 10/4..AGREED
Yes please! I've requested this a few times! ✌
Yes. I've requested it also. Jay might not like it, but I know Amber will.
Wild mountain honey is my favorite. Written by Steve McCarty.
I met him a few years back. I did a photo shoot of him in his wife and then I photographed them at a music festival the same night. I got to spend time talking to them. They were very nice people..... absolutely, that's my favorite Song that Steve Miller played..
@spantle3888 Talk about an esoteric song! Love it, but totally different from every other Steve Miller song they’ve heard to date!
A couple ABSOLUTE MUST HEAR early classics from them,, The Steve Miller Band "Living In The U.S.A " & "Space Cowboy"
Yes!! I came here to say this very thing!
I’ve been suggesting the same tracks especially Livin In The USA when Boz Scaggs was in the band.
Somebody get me a cheeseburger!
Absolutely, his early music was the best.
"Children of the Future" also a great album that included the Boz.!@@brianherrington7226
One of my favorite Steve Miller Band songs. Along with Winter Time.
Same here
This is from Fly Like an Eagle. There I was, 16 going on 17, just married, scared out of my mind for the future. For a short period of time we had no television but I had my stereo and this album and I listened to it a lot. I suggest Wild Mountain Honey and Mercury Blues as some great listening. By the way, we just celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary on August 14th. Peace and love to all. Keep up the good work kids!
May God continue to bless you. ❤🙏🇺🇸 HUGS
-love ' fly like an eagle ' !- 🦅
Congratulations 💥
Steve Miller's godfather was Les Paul, guitar virtuosa, and his father's good friend. Les Paul taught Steve Miller at a young age. He has a varied sound, a huge catalog. He even plays the sitar on occassion.
Miller is a mean harmonica player and great on keyboards also.
Virtuoso, not virtuosa, unless you want to make Paul a Paula or Pauline.
And .... Mary Ford was Steve's Godmother, what an awesome pair to learn the guitar from
Maybe I’m weird, but this is my favorite Steve Miller song.
this song is spiritual...
The bass line on this is hypnotic.
Just saw Steve Miller Band this past Saturday night, SOLD OUT!! At 80.., he’s still got it!!
My wife and I saw the Steve Miller Band at a casino/hotel outside of Sacramento, California, a few years ago. This was the type of concert where generations of people were singing along to his music. ….we sang, too😊
Steve was unique, you never knew what he was going to throw at you. Great guitar player.
My favorite Steve Miller song, I'm glad you're looking at some deep cut SM, give this one a few more listens, it grows on you
SPEAKING of them SURPRISING you,,
The Steve Miller Band,, "Dance,, Dance,, Dance" & "Mercury Blues"
This is the only song on the greatest hits that I’ve never heard on the radio
Right? Strangely enough I've heard electronic club dj's mix this raw version into sets.
I had this album in vinyl AND 8-track. I was stylin'! 🤣
😂❤
Love Jungle Love. Steve Miller is a forgotten artist.
❤🙏
Forgotten artist? Really?
I remember when I first heard it, I was like this, but the more I heard it the more it grew on me!
Wild mountain honey is nice! Dance Dance Dance is a whole nother thing :) they just do a lot. The instruments in this are really good.
Dance Dance Dance was my favorite song when I was a kid. Loved listening to his music on vinyl.
Steve's voice is always perfect for the song.
You want another completely different Steve Miller Band song? 'Dance, Dance, Dance'. It's a sweet song that sits in an old school folksy/bluegrass sound. It's defiantly a fun one.
Check out his slow psychedelic side with "Wild Mountain Honey" and "Winter Time".
Definitely,, I would add "The Window"
Two absolutely fabulous songs!!! ❤
wintertime is such a great tune!
Great songs, love them both.👍
Mercury Blues and The Stake also
Wintertime is my absolute favorite by them. I hope you see this and react to it!!!!!
Fave Steve Miller song was the title track from his fourth album, Your Saving Grace. 1969, Boz Scaggs had left the band, and Steve was hitting his trademark sound.
The Steve Miller Band "The Window"...TRUST ME!!
This is my favorite Steve Miller Band song. Serenade to the Stars is AMAZING in concert. The artists form a wall of guitars it is almost confrontational just a wall of guitar sound.
I love me some Steve Miller. Take the money and run,Rock'n me,Jet Airliner and of course my favorite Jungle Love.
One of my favorite Steve Milloer Band songs. Love this one.
Stevie 'Guitar' Miller, a Dallas Texas native. His family were close friends with the legendary Les Paul. Les Paul taught him how to play guitar as a kid.
Steve Miller band started in late 60's hippy era check-out album "Brave New World!
Yes , a bit different to some of their hits, but good all the same. 'Rock n me' is one I really like-Colin Ward
Love this! The melody and instrumentation are just so hypnotic.
A lot of us grew up with this song, so it's just another Steve Miller classic, that we played at parties, and tripped to at home.
This is one of my favorite Steve Miller Band songs ! And I would bet to say anybody around my age which is 61 would agree ! His vocals / Lyrics are amazing in this song ! Abracadabra is a good song but it's very 80s ! I call that bubble gum rock !
Thank you for this one. It's one of my favorite Steve Miller songs .
Next Steve Miller reaction should be "Wild Mountain Honey" easy, mellow, trippy tune!
Peace From PA ✌️
I'm seeing Steve Miller in about a month!!!
I ALWAYS want more Steve Miller Band!
Steve Miller Band - Jungle Love - Swing Town - Jet Airliner
Amber, there's no limit to what Steve Miller will do with his lyrics. He is after all, the "Space Cowboy", lol
The Steve Miller band were an "Album Band". In between songs there were songs likes this. Spacey songs, experimental with trippy sounds. In the Winter Time is another.
I still have since the 70ths, this album, this song is one of my favorites
Steve Miller .Band just plain rocks , I was there when they hit and have enjoyed ever since …….
Never knew what you were going to get with the Steve Miller Band!!! ❤❤❤❤
Other than The Joker (before) and Abracadabra (after), all of the other songs you have done were from two albums that were recorded at the same time. So they arrived at all of those sounds at the same time.
Living in the USA and Space Cowboy are even earlier hits.
I’d forgotten about this one! It was on “Fly Like An Eagle,” and I have to say that the title track was on the radio SO MUCH back then that I actually found the deeper cuts like this one to be a refreshing change of pace. (Back then a number one hit was played about every hour and 10 minutes and as good as any tune was, it got to be “enough already!”)
Jay and Amber i love this song always been a Steve Miller Band fan. I love his voice nobody else sounds like him. Check out their song Space Cowboy from 1973.
Steve was always breaking new ground in recording... it sounds like he's using four, five 🤔 vocal overdubs, I'm not sure but I think it's him singing all the vocals 😮
This is my wake-up song on my phone every weekday! Smooth yet lively.
Jet Airliner is 1 of Steve Miller's most fun, sing along type songs.
I played this on the guitar a lot back in the day.
Should try "Wintertime" you can feel the chill in the air. But "Living In The USA" is a must!
WILD MOUNTAIN HONEY from this same album, Fly Like An Eagle (1976).
It doesn't seem 'different' to me. Probably because I remember when all of these songs first came out and they all sound like trademark Steve Miller brand to me. This fits into the same category of sound with Rock n Me, Jet Airliner, Jungle Love, and others.
Looks like that was your 9th song you've done of theirs. The best song left that you haven't done is Wild Mountain Honey. There's also Dance Dance Dance, Winter Time and Living in the USA.
One of my favorite Steve Miller Band Songs by far!!!!!! Jungle Love is the other one!!!!!!
the entire Book of Dreams album is worth a look not a single miss, every song a hit.
Within the composition of a music album, there will almost always be songs that change up from the big sound songs.
I got to give you guys props because you listen to stuff and react that other people aren't doing
One of my all time favorites ❤
So many great bops
its a classic bro!😎
Love this song
This song does take a few times to hit you but it ultimately does! More Steve Miller tunes for the list include: Wild Mountain Honey; Dance, Dance, Dance; Swingtown; The Stake.
For more rockin' Steve Miller check out "The Stake" or "Mercury Blues".
Try swingtown by Steve Miller band !
they did it Apr 3, 2023
Going to Mexico, Space Cowboy, or Living In The USA should be next!
I don’t know why I love this song so much
There are SO many great SMB songs. Explore more please.
So many great Steve Miller songs, this is my favorite
Every time I am going for a long distance drive, I have this one on my playlist
With quite a few bands from the Classic Rock era, it enhances the listening if you consider that they were often trying to "balance" an album of 10 songs that could stand up on their own, but also worked well together. Serenade was a nice change of pace as you listened to the whole album Fly Like An Eagle.
I’ve been listening to this greatest hits recently and this is my favourite along with The Stake.
Steve Miller Band - Winter Time (Live From Chicago 2008)
My favourite *"Instrumental"* still is *"Steve Miller Band - Babes In The Wood"*
The only non lyric music creates visceral visuals taking me to another place every time!
You heard most I see.. 'True Fine Love' and 'Dance, Dance, Dance' are two you've yet to visit. Check 'em out. Cheers.
I love both!
This is one of those songs that I can remember exactly where I was when this was playing back in 1978, and I was three years old. On top of the bunk bed that belonged to my 2 brothers. I just remember being up there and just entranced by what it could mean, "lost in space" "time is our own". I think I thought said home though, not own so I started wondering about time, and how time can move through space differently. More in a scifi way, not quantum physics way. I wasn't that smart lol.
His early stuff like Living in the USA or Space Cowboy is a must listen.
Need to do Dance, Dance, Dance then Wild Mountain Honey. You haven't really heard Steve Miller Band without these songs.
Listen to circle of love by Steve Miller band. Unknown love song they made. Best love song out there.
Hello Jay & Amber, I thought I'd drop off another song by Steve Miller Band in case you're interested. *"Steve Miller Band - Going To The Country"** this song is on their "Anthology" album, which is the first Greatest Hits album for the "Steve Miller Band" covering material from their first seven albums and is certified gold in the United States. The song "Going to The Country" was released in 1970 as part of their fifth studio album "Number 5" the song only reached #69 on the billboard charts. But I think it's a very catchy tune and I think it's well liked by many avid Steve Miller fans.
In the winter time
I like the Latin or mid eastern feel, the vocal harmonies. Steve Miller was/is a great musician.
You know why I come back to your reactions (Movie/Music)? Because you really ARE a family. You don't use "family" as a spurious concept just to make people feel good, but you are a literal family who have dedicated their attention to serving your audence with interesting and socially relevant entertainment, even allowing us a small glimpse into the joy of your personal family life. This makes you not only unique, but also worthy of love from thost who frequent your channels. Just from me, Thank you both for this unique gift.
Go back to the 60's when Boz Skaggs was in the Steve Miller Band and listen to Steppin' Stone with Boz on lead vocal.
This is actually a great driving song.
My brother got me into Steve Miller when he bought the album Fly like an Eagle..actually he got me into 80% of the music i listen to today. On that album is a song called Dance, Dance, Dance you really have to try that one. It is kinda countryish
Just seen them last weekend. Great show.
Don't know why i like this song so much ?
The Stake will be your new favorite Jay! Check it out.
Give Dina Carroll a listen, I think you'll like her music. She was classed as a diva on 90s over here in the UK
I still think The Stake is one of their best songs.
Yeah, Steve miller. Living in the USA, Crazy about a Mercury. These are some other good ones to listen to.
Sorry. It’s called “Mercury Blues”
It’s hard not to tap your foot and Bob your head because it’s Steve Freaking Miller. 😎
You two could react to the entire 1977 Steve Miller Band album “Book Of Dreams” and no one would complain!
Best song for going to the moon 😊😊😊
Don’t forget about the song with the wth title “Sha ba du ma ma ma” It really is a catchy tune
I'd forgotten that one off my old Steve Miller album! Thanks for that! At the time, I was like you reacted here, I liked it, but... it was odd. 🤔😏
First time I heard it back in the mid 70's, I thought it was one of the best songs ever. I guess we all have different ears.
Dance , Dance, Dance
Hey y'all. Last year you reacted to Firefall "You Are The Woman". If you want to react to another song, I know you'd love Firefall "Strange Way". Powerful song. If you can find it, the long version has an incredible flute solo, whereas, the short version doesn't.
Yes, this. Firefall "Strange Way" is great. One of the best performances I have ever seen was Firefall in a small venue.
@@davidogg5269 Wow, bet that was great.
Steve Miller Band has so many greats in their catalog! Two of my all-time favorites are: "Your Saving Grace", and for probably their most psychedelic vibe, check out "Wild Mountain Honey". These two songs are much different from the commercial hits you two have reacted to thus far. Thanks for this reaction! ✌💙✌
Your Saving Grace - ua-cam.com/video/Xzwp2C-Xsvo/v-deo.html
Wild Mountain Honey - ua-cam.com/video/6zT4Y-QNdto/v-deo.html
Steve miller's wild mountain honey very smooth
Deep cut here 👍
