(i do actually, roughly 215 Carrack runs, or 141 C2 Hercules runs, in one single trip... brain short circuits*) the economic market of Star Citizen today as of 3.17 is absolutely not ready for that kind of hauling capacity, and these ships absolutely need the Cargo Refactor to be implemented in full to take advantage of their capabilities. (assuming the cargo refactor even touches on the economy system managed by the Quanta/Quantum system, and doesn't just physicalize cargo...)
The principle of the ship is simple. Power batteries or reactor feed magnetohydrodynamic thrusters creating ion thrust. Engines can operate both in the atmosphere and in space. The principle of operation of MHD engines is based on the ionization of the working gas and its acceleration in a magnetic field. Ionized gas accelerating in the magnetic chamber of the engine by the Lorentz force creates a reactive ion thrust. Everything is simple. By the way, the secret triangular stealth aircraft TR 3b Astra works on the same principle.
Some content creators were saying that video doesn't do justice to the scale of ships and now that i got the game i totally understand that feeling. I can only imagine this beast of a ship!
The main service elevator is still very buggy, sadly, but you can rely on the "Captain's Elevator" at the front of the ship, that you used at the start, it still works fine. The Reclaimer is a great ship that will be VERY regular once the "salvage" mechanic is fully implemented. Once Salvage is in, it's going to be basically a mobile base. Bring it on.
You should have an episode dedicated to just hide and seek with the reclaimer where your friends have to try to find you on first a planet then just somewhere in the universe and they get to use any ship they want
Whenever Star Citizen actually launches I have a F7C-M Super Hornet, Vanguard Warden, and Reclaimer all with lifetime insurance. The last time I played I took the reclaimer to the new planet that had just dropped. Could not find the spaceport so it was landed in the wilderness. It can be done.

Man, I dreamed of a game like this back in the 90s. Of course, the tech wasn't even close to there yet. But the idea of being able to get a bunch of friends & compatriots together on a ship and fly out to do jobs...just so cool. This huge ship that feels like home in a weird way. Very cool.
So nice to finally having a ship capable of hosting a xeno horror fest
attaching my comment from the previous video here, since im doubtful that you would check the comments of a 3 day old video
here's some trading advice for you, courtesy of Jack Axton's last State of Trade guide (december 2021 - still relevant as of 3.17)
for Light to Medium Freight, you generally want to run Laranite & Agricium, if not available you may Substitute with Distilled Spirits or Stimulants
*Laranite* - buy value : 27.53 / sell value : 31.01 / margin 12.64%
meta purchase locations : HMDS Lathan / HMDS Bezdek - Stanton > Hurston > Arial (Volume : 100,000 units per vendor)
alternate purchase locations : ArcCorp Mining Area 45 / 56 - Stanton > ArcCorp > Wala (Volume : 50,000 units per vendor)
Note that Laranite is an extremely valuable resource that experiences very high traffic, which requires patience to fill your hold due to supply constraints. be warned that because of its high value, you will be targeted by pirates if you loiter around in one location for too long, prompting the need for either an escort ship/fighter or the necessity to trade in small quantities & be highly mobile, the most practical ships to suit the role of light freight for this resource is the Misc Hull-A, Argo RAFT, Mercury Star Runner, and Misc Freelancer max
Hull A - 64 SCU - Investment : 176,192 / Sale : 198,464 / Margin : 12.64% / Profit : 22,272
RAFT - 96 SCU - Investment : 264,288 / Sale : 297,696 / Margin : 12.64% / Profit : 33,408
MSR - 114 SCU - Investment : 313,842 / Sale : 353,514 / Margin : 12.64% / Profit : 39,672
Max - 120 SCU - Investment : 330,360 / Sale : 372,120 / Margin : 12.64% / Profit : 41,760
*Agricium* - buy value : 23.64 / sell value : 27.50 / margin : 16.33%
meta purchase locations : ArcCorp Mining Area 141 > Stanton > Crusader > Daymar (Volume : 18,000 units per vendor)
alternate purchase locations : Shubin Mining Facility SMCa 8 Stanton > Microtech > Calliope : (Volume : 18,000 units per vendor)
Agricium is a resource that is not very popular due to its incredibly low supply. however because of its high profitability and moderately frequent refresh time, patient haulers can sit in a vendor location for a few minutes to fill their hold with very little worry of getting attacked by pirates due to the well known short supply of this resource. however it is still prudent to maintain a low EM/IR signature while in waiting. good luck captain.
Hull A - 64 SCU - Investment : 151,296 / Sale : 176,000 / Margin : 16.33% / Profit : 24,704
RAFT - 96 SCU - Investment : 226,944 / Sale : 264,000 / Margin : 16.33% / Profit : 37,506
MSR - 114 SCU - Investment : 269,496 / Sale : 313,500 / Margin : 16.33% / Profit : 44,004
Max - 120 SCU - Investment : 283,680 / Sale : 330,000 / Margin : 16.33% / Profit : 46,320

for Heavy to Superheavy Freight, you generally want Titanium & Gold, if not available you may Substitute with Diamond, Tungsten, or Fluorine
(as of 3.17 Astatine has fallen out of favor with high volume trade, profitability is marginal - trade at your own leisure)
*Titanium* - buy value : 7.86 / sell value : 8.89 / margin : 13.10%
meta purchase locations : Shubin Mining Facility SAL 2 / SAL 5 / Humboldt Mines - Stanton > ArcCorp > Lyria (Volume : 800,000 units per vendor)
secondary purchase locations : HMDS Lathan / HMDS Bezdek - Stanton > Hurston > Arial (Volume : 800,000 units per vendor)
tertiary purchase locations : Royari Cantwell Research Outpost - Stanton > Microtech > Clio (Volume : 800,000 units per vendor)
quaternary purchase locations : Tram & Myers Mining - Stanton > Crusader > Cellin (576,000 units per vendor)
Titanium is generally a low value resource with incredibly high supply volume & availability across multiple sectors of space, making it one of the most readily available resources on the market. consequentially its market value is volatile in peak trading hours. this resource is nearly worthless for Light Freight, but very profitable for high volume Medium to Heavy Freight, prompting the need to freight with large vessels like the Anvil Carrack, C2/M2 Hercules, Hull-B, or Drake Caterpillar. this resource sees a similar popularity as Laranite for pirate groups due to its very high volume but only pirate organizations will actually attack vessels carrying this kind of freight due to logistical constraints posed by smaller groups. as of 3.16/3.17 however this resource does not attract too much unwanted attention.
Hull-B - 384 SCU - Investment : 301,824 / Sale : 341,376 / Margin : 13.10% / Profit : 39,552
Carrack - 456 SCU - Investment : 358,416 / Sale : 405,384 / Margin : 13.10% / Profit : 46,968
M2 Herc - 522 SCU - Investment : 410,292 / Sale : 464,058 / Margin : 13.10% / Profit : 53,766
Caterpillar - 564 SCU - Investment : 443,304 / Sale : 501,396 / Margin : 13.10% / Profit : 58,092
C2 Herc - 696 SCU - Investment : 547,056 / Sale : 618,744 / Margin : 13.10% / Profit : 71,688
*Gold* - buy value : 5.66 / sell value : 6.41 / margin : 13.25%
HMDS Norgaard / HMDS Anderson - Stanton > Hurston > Aberdeen (Volume : 2,000,000 units per vendor)
Shubin Mining Facility SMO 18 - Stanton > Microtech (Volume : 2,000,000 units per vendor)
Gold is an old world resource that has gained notoriety as a valuable high volume resource for superconductor production, virtually worthless in low volume - it finds popularity in heavy freight as an alternative to titanium or as an interim option to fill vacant cargo space, due to its historical notoriety pirates will target vessels with this commodity regardless of actual profitability.
Hull-B - 384 SCU - Investment : 217,344 / Sale : 246,144 / Margin : 13.25% / Profit : 39,552
Carrack - 456 SCU - Investment : 258,096 / Sale : 292,296 / Margin : 13.25% / Profit : 34,200
M2 Herc - 522 SCU - Investment : 295,452 / Sale : 334,602 / Margin : 13.25% / Profit : 39,150
Caterpillar - 564 SCU - Investment : 319,224 / Sale : 361,524 / Margin : 13.25% / Profit : 42,300
C2 Herc - 696 SCU - Investment : 393,936 / Sale : 446,136 / Margin : 13.25% / Profit : 52,200

i was planning on making a new weight class for the Hull C to E along with a chart for relevant commodities, but i realized it was pointless since the Hull C - E doesn't even have finalized specs yet, so a lot of what i say will ultimately just be speculation.. and also the fact that the current trading market is just not ready for ships like that, i mean the Hull C supposedly holds 4,096 SCU, with the Hull D holding a jaw-dropping 20,736 SCU, and the Hull E holding a mind blowing 98,304 SCU!! i cant even begin to imagine how much that really looks like that...
4:39 Star Wars vibes, 6:09 Mass Effect vibes, 6:12 Nostromo vibes, 7:03 MAJOR Nostromo vibes.
Same vibe as an UNSC ship, love it
Holy shit man. The salvage hold is just insanely massive. Gotta put some vehicles in there
Some content creators were saying that video doesn't do justice to the scale of ships and now that i got the game i totally understand that feeling. I can only imagine this beast of a ship!
Yeah, You can basically make an entire FPS shooter map inside the ship.
and also this ship have a comically Small Lift
The terrapin is great, love it, but the Redeemer is freaking great mate!
Bring it on.
never seen someone so amazed about a space dumpster truck
You should have an episode dedicated to just hide and seek with the reclaimer where your friends have to try to find you on first a planet then just somewhere in the universe and they get to use any ship they want
I love how you wonder what each room is but don't stop to read the signs next to the doors in most cases
Elevator opens*
Aslan: it's a prank boi were going to Narnia
I am a massive fan of the industrial looking ships in this game all rough and grimly lit . Seeing the state of some work vans iv been in all the Industrial ships in real life would be a mess like a huge floating warehouse or steel works
The room you when into at about 7:50 is I believe going to hold a drone of some sort that can be controlled by the seats you see I believe I herd that on the last reclaimer video I saw but I may be wrong it may be for a different ship but I believe I'm correct
I’ve never seen those elevator issues before. That’s crazy. I’ve even flown this boy during the Expo.
3:00 you sounded like the bat from Anastasia. "Wow! I tell you what, wow!"
Im currently sat here watching loads of your videos and waiting for some to come out as i have just tested positive for covid. Thank you for keeping me entertained olli
I'm a Reclaimer owner. I've named mine "Metal Dieters, Inc." and I can't wait for it to get to eatin'!! Seeing players first reaction to this beast never gets old. 🙂
Can anyone else not be able to wait for him to see and tour a capital class ship during fleet week in a few days ? Bro you're gonna freak out 😁👍
I think it's a great idea to modify designs from other games and sci-fi genres because players love the connections and associations...like the mess hall being right out the Aliens movie... 🙂
The elevator just said „Hello… welcome to the matrix“😂
That lift is indeed cursed, but at least they cleared out the Xenomorph infestation.
You can literally play hide and seek in this ship. I would like an episode of that. I think you can fit a 20-30 people in this ship.
That gave me Nostromo vibes, pretty cool ship.
The sense of scale in this game always get me
The 890 you visited already is the largest ship in the game yet - other than the Idris that shows up for some missions and events - and the Reclaimer isn't a capital ship, but the Reclaimer is great. 👍🏿
The Javelin is the biggest in game so far, it is 4 meters from being twice the length of the Idris.
@@GodDragonLich the bengal is larger, at double the lengh of the javelin, hopefully we get more of it at invictus
The Reclaimer has a slightly shorter length but is nearly twice as heavy as the 890. 4.5 million kg vs 9 million kg
The Scorpious is like W'Wing in Star Wars.
These are just 2 ideas i sent them among HUNDREDS!!!! i hooe many of them sure come in the future.
🤔 remember Hawks ship in Buck Rigers? 😎
How about Event Horizon? 😎
Or ships from EvE or Elite Dangerous? 😎
Few of them are already in-game
Looks like The Nostromo internally!! Totally cool!
@06:47 "Yeah, no idea what that is.." *walks by the sign that says drone room mid-sentence* ;-P
little tip for next time your landing gear is 90% of your vtol you need to leave them down until your almost out of atmo
A quick FYI. You're supposed to use VTOL mode to exit atmosphere in large ships, thats why you had so much trouble on MicroTech.
This ship always makes me think... "baby's got back.."
"This is the first time I've seen it."
Also, walks into the hanger and the lights are on.
This cargo Grasshopper thing is better than that Luxury yacht looking nice one..
You can heal yourself with the medgun even in an armistice zone by pressing 4 to pull it out and then hitting B to point it at yourself, then just pull the trigger.
You do not become stuck in the claw. You become one with the claw!
It's this kind of ships that makesme yearn for boarding actions. It would be so cool to have firefights in this environment
I'm kind of hoping that the interior of the Orion looks more like this. Industrial. Lived in.
5:34 son t mind that drip, xenomorph drool when asleep
there should be a whole ass system for aquiring a ship licence, complete with a tutorial for driving ships, what callout to whatever control center you should make, etc etc
That room was your Remote Drone Control Room.
The excitement from your voice as you explored made my day,got me excited....big fun keep it up.
i wouldve said that the ships interior was more based off wayland yutani design from alien over the millennium falcon. the falcon had circular corridors while the yutani ships had these kind of corridors
Huge Alien vibes from this ship... Pretty sure the first Alien movie was based on a salvage ship as well.
Talk about Nostromo-vibes in that HUMUNGUS ship :-) + Your a Vampire, no image in the mirror.
Just imagine a crew of 5 or 6 friends using this ship who all have jobs to do during flight and salvage, then get paid a share at the end of the run. So awesome. I just wish this game would be playable within my life time. If they want to generate money, complete and sell a portion of the game and then keep developing!
Thank you so much for your content im watching this as im at home sick and this just makes me feel better
I wish the developers would add a walking function to this ship so it could be used as a ground dreadnought.
Bro the extreme alien vibes i get from this ship i love it the only thing that is based of the mellenium falcon a little bit is the hallways the rest is alien themed
The rooms usually have descriptions on the walls and floors leading into them.
To heal yourself with the mdigun I think You need to press "B".
If the day ever comes we get to play as monsters in this game, i'm giving people PTSD without fail
- Captain, we are under attack! urgently to the bridge!
- I'm here for... I'm waiting for the elevator.
When this ship was released, it was the biggest freely moveable object in any video game so far.
That's not even remotely true. All three big ships in Elite Dangerous are substantially bigger and older
@@eavdmeer Yes, but you never were able to enter them and walk around. Should have mentioned that.
@@veliostv9089 that one I will definitely give you. It's still amazing every single time how detailed the interiors are
@@eavdmeer that doesn’t count that’s like moving empty car board boxes and saying you did something
Pay attention to fact how much room there is left for an even bigger ship in that hangar.
You probably need half of the people on the server to man that thing...
Alien Nostromo vibes. Love it!
When its landed it looks like a dog type. 😂 the way it sits looks like 4 legs and amazing
I wrote them long ago and also sent hundreds of pictures of ship ideas and sbios frim movies and other games.. This is like that salvage ship in Star Wars w those lottle creatures. But there salvage was land base. This one flies
