I've got the same thing from harbor freight please don't jump on me. It was only 60 bucks worked great with a warranty. Do like your video's a lot please keep them up I'll keep watching thanks...
I bought a similar tool from Amazon that came with next to zero instructions, so this video has been super helpful at showing me how to properly assemble the tool for installing the new ones.
It helps to oil the thread on the puller. Also, to remove the bushing, heat arm and put an ice cube on the bushing sleeve after. You bent the arm taking that one out, so be careful to have the sleeve of the puller pushing only on a reinforced area and not a part that can bend. Part of your binding is the inner sleeve sticking to the shaft. Before trying to pull the bushings, put some penetrating oil (ATF, PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench, etc.) on both ends of the bushing inner sleeve on both ends of the shaft and work the arm up and down to loosen the sleeve from the shaft.
Also, on installation, make sure the arm is in the at rest position on the car before tightening the bushing end caps and bolts. You don't want the bushing to be twisted in its normal resting position.
Keep up the good work Ben you are the best! Keep us informed on your next project vet and make us vet lovers happy!✅
I have the same tool from Summit.
I had no issues with the installation or removal.
Worked like a charm.
Good video Ben...the freezer trick for bearing races and bushing etc was taught to me probably 43 years ago by my Dad. /it works for sure. I grease the threads on both the clamp part and the pusher, I don't know if it helps but it can't hurt.
Was so excited when summit opened up in Haltom city.
Ben, you are an excellent instructor of speciality tool operations! Thank you sir👍
Awesome Ben. Did all the bushings on my 73 coupe 7 years ago. Wish I had that tool then. It was a long day doing them.
Thanks for the link looks like a good tool to have
Hate doing bushings and don't have a press. My sockets and hammer thank you
Handy tool I guess after you have used it a few times the setup will be a lot easier.
Neat 2x👍
Thanks Ben
Just ordered it... be here next week. I hope it works on C4 also...
God bless 🙏 you Ben😃
Good stuff man.
Yup we used to put an air hammer on it. Worked well enough. 😂
Love the Dewitts sticker. I did not get a sticker when I bought my radiator. Tom probably did not have them at the time.
I remember doing mine was a huge pita! I heard burning out the bushing works.
cool tool
Just ordered it from Amazon along side the master set ball joint press kit by powerbuilt
You've never seen this tool before? I've been a mechanic for over 40 years and use them my first year out... They were old then
Hey bud, I just picked up a 74 vette. Traded my ol' roadrunner for it. Needs some luv of course, heater not hooked up, tranny needs gone thru, headlights not functioning, ect...ect. front-end making a cluncking sound while backing up and turning, guessing it's a ball joint or 2. But it's complete, and in decent shape overall.
Ratcheting wrenches Ben ;). LOL

Been watching your channel for a while, love it!
The wife and I are acquiring a Corvette free of charge, it was her cousin’s who unfortunately passed on. I have only seen pictures of it at this point, I believe it is a 77, it’s been sitting outside for I don’t know how long. The first thing I am going to do is check the frame and the birdcage. If all checks out, I may be contacting you for some parts.
Any more tips on what I should be looking for would be appreciated. Thanks!!
Wow at 1m40-45 sec I could read instructions in French too. Good that manufacturers write it in 3 languages in NA , where I am. Lowers the cost. But them again, when I get parts from the EU, the instructions are in 7+ languages. Thinking of it, IKEA had good idea of only using pictographics. Yet, some car repairs/parts require more that pictures to install….😅
Hello Ben I use that same tool for control arm bushings on Chevrolet truck builds I put A coat of oil on the threads and use my 3/8 dewalt impact works for me
I would like to see the part number for the C clamp in the kit, I'm sure my two OTC kits have all of the inserts covered otherwise.
I would put the C~clamp in the vise. Might work better.
Can this kit also be used on the lower control arm bushings?
Ben that tool has been out for years. Yes air ratchet easier 🤪
Hey Ben--Do you think it will remove rear strut rod in order to replace the bushings?
Another great video. How is Noodle doing?
The hammer is the fine timing tool lol
Hey Ben, that work on the lower a arm bushing?? I need to change them out along with the top a arm bushings.
I'd like to know, as well!
Im going to find out man. Just got mine, and getting ready to do a 74 upper and lower a arms. Ill let you know... by the way... Amazon, $109.00@chadrickenberg3676
@@chadrickenberg3676 I'll let you know. Just got mine, and will be doing a 74's a arms. I can't remember if the lowers on it are a single wall... or a double. I'll look, if it's a double, ill come up with a center spacer to press in or out.
It works, @@gizzmo5952. I did it 5 months ago.
Did the 1974 Corvette stingray have vent tubes for the battery in compartment behind driver seat to vent battery outside
Should keep going with the 55 pontiac man no one has made videos on them
Looks like that's a ball joint un/install tool too
Hola!!! No! Y noooo! Aquí todo es prohibitivo
Ben, what is the part number of this tool and whom did you get it from?
Link in description
How much did it cost??
One criticism: your left arm was blocking the vies of the insertion process. Maybe not critical in reality but it would have been nice to see the whole process. Enjoy the channel though!!
Keep watching the video I show both sides
😆😆😆
Looks tooo easy, better take it apart again, do it twice, just to make sure didn't miss a step...
