- LP sent me up to RRBuildings Oregon Music Garage to install some LP SmartSide siding.
I really like installing this product and have it on my own house. Check out the video to see why.

I worked maintenance for LP at their siding plant in Two Harbors MN. They absolutely sucked to work for however they do make a good product and I have it on my house. I will use their products but would never tell anyone to work for them.

I live in a sunny, dry (8 inches of annual rainfall) climate. Smartside is the fascia and the vertical face looks like new after 14 years. However, after about 10 years I noticed the miter joints in some of the corners near the gutters had swelled and delaminated. I assume the cuts were not sealed during installation, but I would be concerned in a wetter part of the country.

Did you make any videos of installing the rim joists and floor trusses on the helical piers? Sure like to see those if you did. Thanks.
What about fire mitigation with LP smart side? Or is there a treatment?
With the screw piers how do you insulate under the floor??
Homeowners insurance does give you a break if you use fiber cement, though
what about joints: leave a gap, or butt together? ...and caulking??
no rain screen?

You shouldn’t bash other products on your channel when your promoting a new product, it’s just going to piss off a bunch of guys who own that business. Think think think before you record videos.
