For the past 2 years, I haven’t left my house without my signal+both bit kits+bit extension, and also my style cs. They’ve served me incredibly well, and I find myself using them frequently
I recently went to the 2017 sturgis rally running with 2 guys on old Harley Panheads, took the Leatherman surge and the 40 bit kits to go with it, that tool set took up nearly no room and essentially saved the trip on multiple occasions. If you have ever done any distance on a pan head you know that the primary chain oiler is a pain in the ass and the covers must come off every so often to make sure its not eating the chain and enough (but not too much) oil is flowing. add to that stuff occasionally needing tightening and adjusted (carburetors as you gain altitude,). The set has both metric and SAE allens which are the tools needed for these bikes, my Harley needed the metric, and theirs needed the SAE. Great tool set, I never leave home without it. I also have the MUT, Crunch, several Micras and a couple other Leathermans.
TIP: If you carry a spare Juice, you can attach the bit driver extension to the first Juice, connect the bit extender, and connect it to the spare Juice. Instead of a single bit, you get the added functionality of a WHOLE EXTRA MULTI TOOL!
Also, the Gerber Center Drive eliminates Leathermans wasteful proprietary bit system by letting you use the bits you already have, I have just bought a 32 piece Security Bit set which Leatherman doesn't even have, but they use them on their multitools when assembling them. Soon I'll be able to take apart all my Leathermans and make one custom multitool using my Center Drive to take them all apart!!!!
Rice Villatoro well there’s the adapter that you can buy for the leatherman that wedges between the tool which is a lot better for when you really need to torque down on something, shouldn’t be as weak as the fold out tool that won’t be able to handle as much torque
I took one of the longer bits from the MUT bit kit and ground it down to use as as an awl with my LM Wave. Seems to work pretty well although it's not a sewing awl per say as there's no hole at the tip, but more of a punch really.
I wear a wave every day of my life pretty much without fail. The great majority of tasks that I would handle with that tool don’t require specialized bits and if they do you’re far better off using full-size bits not the reduced dimensional things that come in those cards. The purpose of those things is to not take up much room on a belt if I have a bag I’m going to have some better form of screwdriver system
Half of the bits included with these over-priced kits are barely or never use so it's just a waste of money. That's why I love my Leatherman Tool Adapter which I purchase in 2000 and still use it everyday and I can purchase and use any bit I want and not be limited to just a few of them, plus the adapter can be use with all of the following tools: PST, PST2, Side Clip, Super Tool, Super Tool 200, Super Tool 300, original Wave, 2nd Gen. Wave, Charge, Surge, 2nd Gen Surge, MUT, Rebar, Sidekick, Wingman, Rev, Kick, Blast, Fuse, Core. By the way, is the dog alive?....
Big Ben, you forgot the Crunch, if you take the jaw tension adjuster screw out of the hole its a standard 1/4" hex that fits the leatherman bit extender or a standard 1/4". Also you can use the square slip on adapter as well. I would point out that whether you use the bits regularly or not, at some point you will probably need one of the odd ones. Especially if you do any motorsports or outdoor stuff. I bought the sets because i am a collector of multi tools (weird hobby i know) and their accessories, but took the set on a trip recently and found out just how useful the "useless" bits were. This may not be the case for everyone, But better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Since i spend so much time on a motorcycle, i find the space saving profile a bargain at any price. My EDC is a Leatherman Surge or a SOG Powerassist.
I can't fit all 3 plastic bit holders in the leather pouch with my Charge - I don't suppose you managed it either. Just the one (original) plastic holder with the 10 (20) bits I think I'll need the most..

The answer, NONE!!!! If you have a Leatherman Super Tool 300, you can use a bit adapter from any cheap multitool and it will fit perfectly. You will able to use any bit including ratchet, and drill bits. Don't waste money on Leathermans proprietary bit extender garbage, even their bit adapter is crap and if you use a regular bit, you have to use your pliers to get that bit out, that's how crappy it is!! My bit adapter was from a cheap MT and i can also use it on my Gerber MP600 and depending what mood I'm in, I will choose one mt and take along my pouch of bits along with my bit adapter because it fits both perfectly. Try what you have first before wasting money on this crap!!! Leatherman wants you to spend more money as if you haven't spent enough already!!!

Add a MUT wrench (OG best) and make a light torque driver with the RBD. Jam the RBD in the small wrench side and drive or loosen the fastener.

That bit driver will actually "snap" on the longer philips drivers such as the supertool 300.
