Rianna, I am the mom of a 14 yr old boy in the Baltimore City public school system. Even as a parent, I see the struggle and opposition that good teachers have from all directions. Please know that you are soooo necessary here. You are appreciated and there are people covering our teachers in prayer!! I so wish that my son had you as a teacher when he was in 8th grade lol. THANK YOU for your labor of love. God bless you ❤
Hey Ri! As a former educator in public and higher education, I can so relate to the burnout. I rarely did anything fun because I was so emotionally drained. I too would come home and pass out so it felt like this never ending cycle of working myself to death with nothing to give to my family at the end of the day. Ultimately, it was why I left the field. I will say as a praise report God blessed with a WFH job where I now have total work life balance. I miss my students at times but ultimately I had to choose what was best for me. Continue to pray that God leads you on your next career move. I have the utmost respect for teachers after spending 6 years in the system. It’s a hard job with constant battles.
Love your videos and content. You are such a beautiful young lady living your life to glorify God...Love how you share your faith in your day to day and how you're enjoying you season of singleness. You are an encouragement to those of us who've going through the same season. Your friends are awesome too!...God is so good!😊🩷
Thank you so much for your sweet words 🤍 I am truly so grateful that you are enjoying my content and that youre able to take something away from it! 🥹 makes my heart so happy! This season is just that, a SEASON!!!! Girl, I know it can be challenging but God is faithful and will sustain us through it 🤍 keep on hanging in there sis!
As a fellow teacher, I think you need to protect your boundaries. You are giving everything and then some and who is giving back to you? Stop draining yourself, you have to protect your energy - no one else will do it for you, especially children, they don’t understand and simply, they can’t relate. You’ve got to make this job sustainable if you want to do it long term, stop with all the unnecessary stuff and it will become easier 🖤 look after yourself
Elementary teacher here! Teacher tired is a real thing! I'm feeling the same way 10 years in and idk if you can do this in MS but I pull my shade down over my door, door is always locked, and my lights are off during planning/lunch time. I have to have my quiet time and my team knows that my shade being down is my do not disturb sign. But even with this. It is still HARD. I hate this is happening to us, but glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. Love your content!
When I tell you, your channel, which I discovered about a month ago is my saving grace! I work in a middle school similar to yours and I don’t feel like there’s anyone who understands from a Christian perspective the depths of the sacrifice. Sometimes I feel like it’s an assignment and sometimes I feel like I’m serving a jail sentence. I’m constantly buying stuff for my students too. Last year I literally put together about 30 Easter baskets for which I received criticism from staff and family but the kids were grateful. I’m always tired too, the kids are clingy. Most of the staff are kind but it only takes 2-3 needy, competitive, demanding, jealous staff who contribute little but make things so hard. Way too much to say in a sound bite. Your channel is therapeutic for me because it’s a profession that u literally have to share your soul and sometimes you don’t want to. I have been in the same building for 15 years-- unheard of -- because I’m dedicated-- but a lot of times I feel really upset, unappreciated, taken advantage of-- I’m free hearted and at work super happy acting-- I think coworkers would be shocked to know how drained I have felt for at least a decade. Sorry so long. I can relate to every inch of your channel- even your talents -- You are so appreciated and anointed-- Thank you for keeping it REAL!
@laurenlacey283 I don't know you but as the parent of a 14 yr old son, I want to express my appreciation for your labor of love. I've seen the things that teachers are up against...from the kids, the administration, some of the parents and the District. It is not easy. I've experienced great teachers and not so great ones but I am so grateful for those that truly care about the well-being of our kids. I know it's difficult but THANK YOU. And know that there are brothers and sisters out here covering our teachers in prayer. God bless you ❤
Wow! Bless you for being such an AWESOME parent of a 14 year old son! In my opinion, that is such a wonderful age! They are just beginning to learn more about themselves! They are still super young but old enough to want to lend a helping hand. I’m sure you are so PROUD! I LOVE working with the students more than anything else! They always make my day brighter! I am sure your school appreciates having a supportive, understanding, caring and considerate parent like you! I am thankful for your response!@@sharonbrowne6851
My sweet sister, I COMPLETELY understand!!!! It is a hard profession and I have found myself countless times wanting to walk away. God has revealed to me that teaching is a ministry; it is my Kingdom assignment. The fact that we have both made it this far in teaching is nothing but by the grace of God. The students are one thing, the adults are ANOTHER! I have experienced those coworkers who have made things difficult for me but God has carried me through it all. Keep showing up, your students need you. Regardless of the behaviors and disrespect, you are making a difference ❤️ I am keeping you covered in prayer because I know that it can feel discouraging.
May the Lord continue to protect, strengthen, and guide you and you are doing an amazing job at giving these amazing young kids the proper education to succeed.
@@rianna_janis BTW, I love your channel. The ray of sunshine ☀️ that you bring to the lives of others is so authentic. There’s no question that you belong in that place & the world is a better place because of it.
This time change has me messed up too! I have been sleeping in when I have a list of things to do. 😭 I do feel like I'm getting back to my routine though. You'll get there! 😁👍🏼
Thank you so much for teaching your kids cursive writing. I was taught cursive writing in elementary school English/Language Arts . I recently began teaching all 5 of my kids cursive writing because I incorrectly assumed they’d been taught, but 3 of them are in high schoolers and don’t know how to sign a signature 😮. Also, that apartment was too cute. I heard the singing voice❤Praise him! Your Bishop is sick of you😂

Prayers going up sis ❤️ I have been standing on John 13:7 "Jesus replied to him, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but you will [fully] understand it later.” Keep leaning into Him girl, He's got you right where He needs you.
Prayer Request: My co-worker has been harassing me daily but, me being a seasoned women and her being much younger I refuse to stoop down to her level. It also don’t help because she’s our supervisor flunky… She does all the dirt our supervisor don’t want to be seen doing. So, please pray for me to stay strong and to be able to maintain my professionalism. I know GOD has a plan, so I always try to do the right thing but, I’m not going to lie it’s been hard lately… Thanks 🙏 so much!
Some battles are not yours to fight. Stay as professional as possible. Stay away from this coworker unless absolutely necessary. You be the tortoise and let her be the hare. These types of people usually outpace themselves eventually -- Be patient, stay focused, and try to find things to look forward to that make you HAPPY …is the BEST advice I can offer….
