Hey everyone! I have been working this seasonal job since 2015, and I love it! It's flexible and you can work when and where you want. Hey everyone! ☺️ If you applied for the FLEXIBLE schedule with Pearson, and they are sending you an offer for the FIXED schedule, simply decline that offer and wait for an offer with a flexible schedule. They will still send fixed schedule offers to those of us who only want to work flexibly. It’s always been that way. Just decline it, you will get another offer. You may even get a few fixed project offers in a row before they send a flexible one.
This is exactly why I love registry nursing because I’m not bound to corporate rotating prison schedule 😮I only need 3 😊12 hour shifts when I want them weekly.
I just tried Pearson last year-- I did not think I could do it because they kept saying I had to select a 4-hour window; and I thought I could not do it with a toddler. After I a while, I realized that the slots did not matter; they just want you scoring papers. I would log in all day and just score while I was cleaning and playing with my child (the rubric made it really easy to know the score). I actually ended up with overtime. I love this company and appreciate you sharing (:
Hey girl! I am glad you made it work. 🤗 I never heard of the 4 hour window thing. Maybe they do different things with different projects. I have always been able to score whenever I wanted with in the 12 hour time frame that scoring was open.

Hi QueenPicj I'm a retired teacher. This is my second year working for Pearson. (I did not go through the young lady who did this video). I like it because I work on projects that have a beginning date and an ending date. When the project is done, I am done. I also work for a company that does reading pull-outs from September to December 15th just in time for the Christmas holiday. I love it. I had to go through fingerprinting to work with the pull-out groups because, of course, I am working "live" online with the students. I work with students from different states, and I love it. After I retired I wanted to continue working but on my own terms and I found the perfect opportunity that works for me. I just returned from my Spring break trip to England, Rome, and Paris and I just got a letter from Pearson, we are getting ready to start scoring in April. Good Luck, I wish you well. I will be done just in time for my summer vacation. #LoveRetirement!

Hey everyone! I forgot to mention, for Pearson, you simply log into their scoring system. For Measurement Inc, you will download their scoring system. No complicated equipment or anything needed! Super simple. 😀
I did this as a teacher over the summer and it paid $500/day for us for the Regents. It was glorious. It's a great job (as a nerd) and I'm applying for all of them for ELA!

Yes, I worked as a TestScorer hired via Atrium staffing to parnter with Data Recognition Corporation. Starting pay was $18 for me for 8 hour shift. So, anyone interested you can get the same job as mentioned at these two companies. Yes, having a BA in education is needed. Great video!

Yes, they sent them out on last Thursday, February 29. They sent me an offer for fourth grade math, which is the subject area that I normally score. Happy Scoring season

@@lovelylaseanDamg, I’m finding this while I am heading home from the airport. But I just wanna pull over and apply right NOW!!! lol. Guessing that since it’s three days old and took off as well as it did - they have an influx of applications. HOWEVER, that being said - I have a bachelors in psych, taught SPED for 2 years, and have 75% of my SPED degree finished. Do they hire for special ed? I would guess that would not be as much of a demand from those seeing this. Seeeee I was already getting creative in my thinking. I keep telling myself to NOT pull over. 😂😂😂
@@jameemaree4602lol, uh uh, you can still apply! 😀 They need thousands of scorers. They do this every year. Now they will reserve some people for the next season, but either way, as long as you get your app in, and you can prove you have your degree, you’re good.

When you spoke about not wanting to be tied down by a 9-5 job, that really resignated with me. I totally feel you and am taking steps to get out of that situation and move towards multiple streams of income that will allow me the freedom to control my time. Thank you for this video.
You’re so welcome! In 2011 when I started working from home, I decided to face the fact that working “traditional” jobs just wasn’t for me. My mom didn’t understand my decision, but I pressed on. I worked for a company called Liveops, and I also worked multiple side hustles like mystery shopping and scoring to make full time income. I also started my UA-cam channel, but it took a few years to make money from it. The freedom and flexibility that I had was unmatched, and I haven’t worked a traditional job since, being able to be there for my kids who were young at the time was amazing. If something happened and I absolutely had to go back to the regular workforce, of course I would, but it’s been 13 years and I been grinding it out, I wish you nothing but success! 🙌🏾
