The fact that the Thunder have a non-zero chance of winning a championship and getting the No 1 overall pick in the same year is insane. I think the state of Oklahoma would explode if that happened
The Clippers are a cautionary tale. They truly got nothing going for them anytime soon. Low ceiling. No young guys. No control of their picks for years. They got some dark days ahead.
I forget who it was that I heard say like a month ago that the clippers were just waiting to sell more season tickets for the new place before they announced kawhi was out for the season 😂lmfao but they were right
Ive said this before but the Clippers are one of 4 teams that play in a city with another NBA team, so i.m.o. they're competing with the other LA team for ticket sales. My theory is that theyre holding out until King James's retirement before they look to trade Kawhi and Harden
@@bamidelakin-np2ub 1. You don’t need the -ic suffix you can just say capitalist society. 2. What do you mean society? You mean country? Just say country
As a Canadian fan, at the time I didn't understand why the Raptors didn't try harder to keep him. Now it's pretty clear they saw his knees and dodged a bullet
Chet, Flagg, Dub, Dort, Shai + IHart, Caruso, Cason, Joe at the bench. Good lord! This is even more stacked than the 16-17 Warriors. As a thunder fan, I can only hope lol
It's only going to get worse. So worse, in fact, I could see the Clippers just "forfeit." Everybody is fuming for the Clippers to miss the playoffs completely, not just be in the bottom of the pack but worst in the league (no. 30th). Their ulterior desire in wanting to be loved, respected and worshiped like the Lakers has blinded them into thinking "We'll show 'em, everything will be alright, no worries, Hakuna Matata." But the fear of making any team stronger let alone the Lakers gets the Clippers all uppity. For example, suggest trading George to Warriors, and Clippers will scream "NO!!!" with demonstrable disgust, "We're not going to make our enemies better at our expense! We'd rather let George walk than gift the Warriors another championship!" And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Clippers have a long proven history of bungling draft picks. All the picks that were once Clipper property turned into gold for the other team. Charles Barkley may have been a 76ers 1st round pick in 1984, but it was actually a Clipper pick that was traded to Philadelphia way back in 1978 (the San Diego days) for the services of World B. Free. Basically, all Clipper picks are guaranteed role players, role stars, superstars, champions, and possibly Hall Of Famers, but only if they go elsewhere. Clippers don't know what to do with any of that as they are constantly occupied with stealing the spotlight from Lakers, and as I always say, personal emotions get in the way of business. The honorable thing for Clippers would be to just tank. Have a losing season, gift the Thunder a no. 1 pick, and hopefully OKC will throw the Clippers a bone by giving them one of their future picks back. But the cost will be great: they could force them to give up Kawhi Leonard (who demanded they trade with Thunder as condition to joining Clippers, or else Leonard was Laker-bound). In their current condition, nobody is going to give them picks, cash, or even young players. They're gonna be saddled with castaways, troublemakers, damaged goods, veterans gearing towards retirement, and flat out scrubs, a motley crew of misfits guaranteed to give the Clippers losing seasons for perhaps a decade to come. I don't know if they're going to survive the second half of this decade. Clippers keep operating under fear: the fear of making the Lakers stronger, the fear of being compared to the Donald Sterling era and finding out his and Steve Ballmer's tenures are the same thing, the fear of irrelevancy. And without some kind of general advisor to teach the Clippers right from wrong or making rash decisions just to get attention, this franchise is basically Cecrops The Lost Mariner (for all the Xena fans out there).
Holy crap, if OKC gets that #1 pick! I could see a potential 3 peat happening! BUT, how would they pay all those people? KD, Westbrook, Harden repeat???
Can Harden leave mid-season if Kawhi ends up being out for most of the season? But nobody wants him and his contract... He is not getting any ring, that's over for him. Been over for a while some would say :-/
Everyone keeps saying that "If OKC" gets the number 1 pick". How? And why should they? Didn't I just watch them in the playoffs? Doesn't the #1 pick go to teams that have fallen on hard times?
The Clippers sold themselves down the river with that trade for ‘Playoff P’. The Thunder’s GM deserves a raise for trading trash for gold…🤣🤣🤣. Kawhi could have had a statue of himself outside of the Raptor’s arena, they would have repeated…
Pioneer of load management shows us why it doesn’t work. If you want to count 2019, that’s fine. Obviously your body cannot have these sudden work loads without repetition.
The Clippers are only going to get worse and the Thunder are going to become a dynasty. Only thing that will hold them back will be their inability to pay everyone.
The fact that the Thunder have a non-zero chance of winning a championship and getting the No 1 overall pick in the same year is insane. I think the state of Oklahoma would explode if that happened
Right? Crazy when you think about it that way. Similar to when the Pistons won the title and got the #2 pick, but blew it on Micic
We all better hope Harden can turn the clock back and Kevin Porter can unlock some of that potential. OKC can't get a top 3 pick.
@@And.One.Hoops1 the difference is we blew the draft pick and still wom the next season without using that pick lol
@@And.One.Hoops1 They drafted Milicic in the same season they won the chip but the chip was won after the draft

Facts
And they did all of this for nothing. Not even a finals appearance to show for it

Kawhietly quitting
Lol, that was good

Feel like Kawhi been retired
Dude is done and his contract going to hurt the clips literally his new contract kicking off this year 😢
Nope, the worst case would have been giving paul george the samething as kawhi and they both get hurt. They dodged a bullet.

True. At the time, I remember saying that I understand him wanting to go home, but at least give Toronto another year

How was he trying to play in the Olympics, but out indefinitely for the regular season...
kawhi getting paid 50 million for the next 3 years is going to bite the clippers in the butt
Yep
It's crazy what LAC gave up for George.
at this point, is anyone surprised? I litearally called it with my homies, i said kawaii wont play this season

Great comment, eloquently put.
What’s wrong wit Kawhi 😂😂

Yeah, you might wanna drop the Clippers in the other video you posted this morning
He needs to do everyone a favor and retire.
I wonder if Toronto would've been a better climate for his joints.
i'd tear it down, try and trade everything that isnt nailed down for pics...it's over

…..did you not even watch the video. The Clippers owe their pick to OKC. If the Clippers miss the playoffs, the Thunder are getting a lottery pick
Laughs in Ted Stepien...
2-3 seasons and Suns will at the same situation! New rich owners are very dangerous for NBA club!
Nah, there are just the Englewood Flippers now...hindsight is 20/20, but man, this trade suck for LA.
Worst trade ever
