A lot of people are either dumb or willfully ignorant. The Kings flaws have been the same flaws since year one. No size or athleticism, and no wings and no rim protection. The front office has FAILED to address this glaring weakness and then the alleged "defensive minded" coach REFUSED to play the best defender they DID have (Davion Mitchell) in game 7 against Steph, who averaged 30 points in the series, but suddenly went off for 50 in Michell's absence. All that being said, there's so many "kings fans" that are turning on Fox, as if it's HIS FAULT that this poorly constructed roster isn't any good, and actually WANT him to be traded, claiming "he's not a winner". This roster was never really built AROUND Fox. Besides Keegan Murray, we've drafted nothing but GUARDS in the last several years, from Tyrese Haliburton to Davion Mitchell to Colby Jones to Devin Carter. What part of "size", "wing depth" or "rim protection" is that? This organization has failed him, but everybody instead blames FOX for essentially not being Lebron.

I loved Demar on and off the court as a bulls fan but I knew this signing wasn’t moving a thing for them. He was much older and not the primary ball handler like he was for the bulls. Some players just don’t fit with certain teams. The bulls were mid but Demar was a good fit next to Coby, ayo, and AC. Chemistry plays a factor as well..
Bulls weren’t good with DeRozan either, a fringe playoff team in a weak eastern conference. Guards need to be able and willing to shoot 3s in today’s game, simple as that.

Actually watching kings games you would see how much better sabonis has been on the defensive end this season. He has clamped guys like jokic and AD. Deaaron still is preforming like he does but he chucks up transition 3s so much and it hurts to watch the ball turn over sp quickly. We should have gotten rid of kevin heurter and trey lyles in the off season ans it makes no sense to have them on our roster. Personally at the moment I would bench demar and play keon ellis more. Keon’s playstyle perfectally meshes with the team (and is a great defender) but mike brown and doesn’t play him for some reason. We are also goving people like doug mcdermont, demar, trey lyles, and jordan mclauglin too much playtime. We haven’t changed this team that much at all since 2022, the problem is the players and coaches.

Smartest thing the Kings can do at this point, is save that top 12 draft pick or better. If they get anything worse than a 12th pick, ATL will get it. And for what? A lost season anyways? MAYBE push for a play-in appearance? Their draft pick from last season has been injured the entire time but I have faith Devin Carter is exactly what this roster needs, you add that with potentially a strong draft pick this upcoming off-season, the Kings could be strong. A few defensive pieces and they're rly good. I think they need to trade Demar though, they need a defensive minded, athletic 4 in that position, and put Keegan at the 3.
As a Kings fan, I'm so disappointed with our management that I am considering switching teams. (Anyone have any recommendations?) Mike Brown hasn't been playing Keon Ellis or Kevin Huerter nearly enough, as they both contribute on both ends, while DeMar is average offensively and horrible on defense. We have no backup center, and Sabonis has been bad on offense and defense this season. Fox's numbers look down, but he seems to have stepped away on the offensive end, and it's really frustrating to watch as it's clear that he is our best scorer. What we need to do is get rid of DeMar (in any way possible), and potentially fire Mike Brown. I think an underrated loss for the team was Jordi Fernandez going to the Nets, we just haven't been the same since. (Maybe we should steal Steve Nash from them and see if he can teach us to shoot free throws!) Somehow our team has nobody playing their best basketball (Huerter and Keegan have been incredible except on threes, Fox needs to just do his thing more on offense), and no good draft picks (not that we were going to get anything good anyway). It's been a rough season, that's for sure.

I agree that Sabonis is really bad at shot blocking, but besides that, I don’t think he’s that much of a negative on defense. I think the issue with Sabonis on defense is that he’s under sized for a center (6’10 with a 6’11 wingspan) and he doesn’t have a very impressive vertical jump. But for a center he’s one of the most agile centers and he’s competent at contesting shots away from the rim. I kinda just think the kings need a stretch big kind of player (similar to a Brook Lopez) and that would fix a lot of the gaps in their defense. I think Sabonis is much more suited for guarding the 4 since he’s fast enough to keep up with forwards. And also the kings are 15th in defensive rating while being a top 10 offense. So I think the kings have played better this season than their record shows.

The front office has FAILED to address this glaring weakness and then the alleged "defensive minded" coach REFUSED to play the best defender they DID have (Davion Mitchell) in game 7 against Steph, who averaged 30 points in the series, but suddenly went off for 50 in Michell's absence.
All that being said, there's so many "kings fans" that are turning on Fox, as if it's HIS FAULT that this poorly constructed roster isn't any good, and actually WANT him to be traded, claiming "he's not a winner". This roster was never really built AROUND Fox. Besides Keegan Murray, we've drafted nothing but GUARDS in the last several years, from Tyrese Haliburton to Davion Mitchell to Colby Jones to Devin Carter. What part of "size", "wing depth" or "rim protection" is that? This organization has failed him, but everybody instead blames FOX for essentially not being Lebron.
Not playing davion mitchell was so stupid of them and there have now been games where keon ellis doesnt play. He is their best defender and consistently hits 3s. Maybe that was a Mike Brown rotation problem though.
Saying Sabonis is the last in blocks is just your failed attempt to find reasons of losses.

I was definitely one of them, I knew it might not have been the easiest fit but I don’t think it’s Demar that’s the problem. The team as a whole doesn’t have that energy or belief it seems like they had in the 22-23 season

I loved Demar on and off the court as a bulls fan but I knew this signing wasn’t moving a thing for them. He was much older and not the primary ball handler like he was for the bulls. Some players just don’t fit with certain teams. The bulls were mid but Demar was a good fit next to Coby, ayo, and AC. Chemistry plays a factor as well..
Bulls weren’t good with DeRozan either, a fringe playoff team in a weak eastern conference. Guards need to be able and willing to shoot 3s in today’s game, simple as that.

Bulls young play players actually contributed with DeMar unlike the kings. Watch the games. I already mentioned we were mid but IMO we were a better team than what he’s on now. Actually watching kings games you would see how much better sabonis has been on the defensive end this season. He has clamped guys like jokic and AD. Deaaron still is preforming like he does but he chucks up transition 3s so much and it hurts to watch the ball turn over sp quickly. We should have gotten rid of kevin heurter and trey lyles in the off season ans it makes no sense to have them on our roster. Personally at the moment I would bench demar and play keon ellis more. Keon’s playstyle perfectally meshes with the team (and is a great defender) but mike brown and doesn’t play him for some reason. We are also goving people like doug mcdermont, demar, trey lyles, and jordan mclauglin too much playtime. We haven’t changed this team that much at all since 2022, the problem is the players and coaches.

Thats a guy that won't admit he made a mistake. People would stop asking him about it if he just comes out and says it, but his pride won't let him do that.
Smartest thing the Kings can do at this point, is save that top 12 draft pick or better. If they get anything worse than a 12th pick, ATL will get it. And for what? A lost season anyways? MAYBE push for a play-in appearance?
Their draft pick from last season has been injured the entire time but I have faith Devin Carter is exactly what this roster needs, you add that with potentially a strong draft pick this upcoming off-season, the Kings could be strong. A few defensive pieces and they're rly good. I think they need to trade Demar though, they need a defensive minded, athletic 4 in that position, and put Keegan at the 3.

As a Kings fan, I'm so disappointed with our management that I am considering switching teams. (Anyone have any recommendations?)
Mike Brown hasn't been playing Keon Ellis or Kevin Huerter nearly enough, as they both contribute on both ends, while DeMar is average offensively and horrible on defense.
We have no backup center, and Sabonis has been bad on offense and defense this season. Fox's numbers look down, but he seems to have stepped away on the offensive end, and it's really frustrating to watch as it's clear that he is our best scorer.
What we need to do is get rid of DeMar (in any way possible), and potentially fire Mike Brown. I think an underrated loss for the team was Jordi Fernandez going to the Nets, we just haven't been the same since. (Maybe we should steal Steve Nash from them and see if he can teach us to shoot free throws!)
Somehow our team has nobody playing their best basketball (Huerter and Keegan have been incredible except on threes, Fox needs to just do his thing more on offense), and no good draft picks (not that we were going to get anything good anyway). It's been a rough season, that's for sure.

I agree that Sabonis is really bad at shot blocking, but besides that, I don’t think he’s that much of a negative on defense. I think the issue with Sabonis on defense is that he’s under sized for a center (6’10 with a 6’11 wingspan) and he doesn’t have a very impressive vertical jump. But for a center he’s one of the most agile centers and he’s competent at contesting shots away from the rim. I kinda just think the kings need a stretch big kind of player (similar to a Brook Lopez) and that would fix a lot of the gaps in their defense. I think Sabonis is much more suited for guarding the 4 since he’s fast enough to keep up with forwards. And also the kings are 15th in defensive rating while being a top 10 offense. So I think the kings have played better this season than their record shows.
