Not being a US collector I really enjoyed the explanation of the bureau series. There's nothing more satisfying than placing a fine stamp into a valued album to enhance it. Many Thanks for an informative video.
The information on the bureau series was very helpful. Loved seeing the Indian top-10 list - there are a lot of really nice issues I would love to have in my world collection!
When my uncle collected stamps in the thirties (born in1919) he collected them only in cancelled and that is what I have,. I just checked out the catalog on the bison stamp at half catalog I could not afford it. I really love the appearance of your album of mint ones. I hope you have deep pockets because those high values are very pricey. It is a substantial project to get those in mint and I wish you luck on that. The 2d bureau issue is my favorite. This was a very enjoyable episode.
Thanks for your comments, John. I'm not too concerned about filling in the high values for my collection. If a nice one comes along at an attractive price, I'll get it. If not, there are still plenty of other spaces waiting to be filled.
Nice find for your collection. Someday I will man up and really dig into the tangle of 19th century US stamps. More comfortable identifying GB 19th century hoard.

@@tedtalksstamps All that is usually needed is the PSE cert # to look up a specific graded stamp certificate: the seller could provide that without sending an image. This one is PSE # 01196922 issued on 2-26-09 (took some digging). There are no call-outs in the description, so it is a solid OGnh 95, even though it's an early cert. Can't post images here, but have them saved. Poor customer service and priced too high IMO.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the 1897-1903 types of the 1st Bureau of Printing issue used also for the Philippine Islands, and overprinted with "Philippines" on them?
I do have a Patreon account, though I've only included a link in a few videos some time back. I also have a ko-fi account to which I include a link in my video descriptions. I don't really want to go the subscription route, as I wouldn't feel comfortable giving non-subscribers less content. Thanks for your comment.
@@tedtalksstamps Thanks for the response. I didn t mean that you should have more content on Patreon. I think people are happy to support content creators that way. One idea would be that if you would use the subs or donations to complete parts of your collection you could make videos of that, showing the stamps you were able to obtain from donations or even calls for certain stamps. People love to see the benefits of their donations.
Hi Ted I really do enjoy your UA-cam channel, I like your no nonsense reviews. I have started to make my own range of stamp albums and I am selling them on eBay. I have sold a couple of GB albums in the USA, I now want to launch a Web Site selling my albums to a wider customer base. If I send you a selection of samples of my albums would please give them a fair and honest review of them? I am based in the UK my album range is called Crusader Albums. Blessings Kevin

Thanks a lot, Gordon.
Great video Ted, I love the design of the US Bureau Definitives too, the Bison stamp is gorgeous!
Thank you, Karen. 😀

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks again for watching.
I have to say I love the US definitives 1890-1920's, the color, design and history.
Thanks for recognizing Ace again, Ted! It’s always a joy for us. I sent you a message on IG 👍🏼
It's my pleasure, Krissy.
Another fine episode! I concur, that Bison stamp is gorgeous! Thank you for the explanation about the US Bureau definitive stamps.
Thanks, Ranger Sly, I appreciate it.

Wonderful insights into American stamps. Very informative.
Thank you, Sayantan
Very nice mint 302.

Thanks, Aaron. It's only in the last couple of years that I've really hunkered down to work on classic-era US stamps.
Twaskyou sr for the information

Thank you.

Agreed, contemptible
Awesome :-)
Thanks, Nisarg.
My favorite is the Liberty series.
A favorite of mine as well.
I am less interested in US stamps, but I do like the new microphone :). A link?
I use this YouMic. It's more expensive now than when I got it 2 years ago. amzn.to/3OzgVWM

I'd call that 573 a decent 95+ example mnh, nice color and impression. Your 569 30 cent is very nice addition.
Thanks, Zach.

@@zachburke3014 Good sleuthing. I'll pass that on to the person who posted about it.
Great video

Yep.
Yes, there was one stamp from the 1st printing on unwatermarked paper, and several from the third printing with the new colors.
Have you thought about getting a patreon account or subscriptions here on youtube (although I don t know how many subs are required for that).
