If you have fly fishing questions, send them to me, I'll will look at them and possibly answer for the public with a special video; e-mail request to isconychia@yahoo.com. Jim and Dan take Mark to a really good spot on the Lower Provo River below Deer Creek Reservoir. It's late March 2019 and the weather is warm but a cold front's on the way. Some midges are hatching but the best action happens at midday when the small Baetis mayflies emerge. Most fly anglers use the generic term BWOs for these but in reality there are many small mayflies that fit this "catch-all" description. He starts with nymphs on a "bounce rig" at about noon in advance of the hatch, when nymphs are moving and available to waiting trout. There are both browns and rainbows in this stretch of river. Mark rigs with a sow bug and a nymph, best fly turns out to be a size 22 or so BWO. nymph. Lots of new videos coming this year with tricks of the trade, and useful tips for the DYI angler. We'd love to have you subscribe. Consider fishing with us this season as well.
