I had the Flamma FX100 and it sounded great. Sadly, the headphone jack didn't work, so I returned it and got a Pod Go. The Flamma was more than plenty for what I needed though. I was able to get some really brutal metal sounds out of it 🤘
How loud is that power amp pedal? I saw This Heavy Earth is gonna be making little 200 watt amp heads based on the VH140C I'm hype as hell if he does that
Interesting product. I'm sure it sounds great but I feel like it's going to have a hard time competing in the very full market. I recently downsized from a full Helix Rack to a Stomp XL and wasn't too thrilled with the Stomp. They say it sounds the same but I'd argue otherwise, so I've been watching all these other brand demos and comparisons. I opted to order a Hotone II Stomp. I loved the Hotone MP-100, it seemed to slay in all the battles. But the extra features of the II Stomp seemed worth it to me. Weird OCD thing with me when shopping for these: Built in drum machine makes it feel cheap, like a Casio keyboard so that did actually contribute to me deciding against a lot of these other models. Other than the Hotone's just sounding the best to me in most instances, the deal maker was their use of "Tang" to represend their Orange models. I loved Tang as a kid. They should change it back to how it was in the 80's and 90's! I digress. Hotone, for me :)
Yeah IMO the market is pretty over saturated. Hard to come out with something new and innovative. At least flamma leans into their aesthetic which I think is pretty unique.
I own an ampero stomp 2 for a few months rn. You’ll not regret it! Just got a few Ir’s packs from Bogren audio and it fits perfectly all my tones. SOUNDS MASSIVE!
@@ringwraithrr That's great to hear. Looking forward to getting it. I've been on an almost 3 year hiatus from music and finding good sounds again has been putting me off a bit from wanting to relearn all my former skills. Especially with my surprise that the Line 6 Stomp did not live up to it's big brother.
Thanx for the demo Taylor :-) Flamma are made by Mooer. They use the Mooer effects and put them in the Flamma boxes. They usually take a few features of the Mooer versions that cost more. Mooer make the Mooer effects especially the pedals for 24 other companies. Some if these cost more money than the Mooer. Others are usually 2/3 less. Many are about $30.00 USD. A few are $25.00 USD. If on sale even cheaper.
@@TaylorDanley I have a friend that is a distributor in Taiwan, Mooer hosts a party/ visit the factory for their international distributors once a year. The Mooer factory is state of the art high tech. They can assemble a pedal in 3 minutes just on one of their 8 machines. In one day they can make up to 2000 units. With 24 other brand names they just feed in enclosures with the other companies graphics. The guts are all the same. The distributors buy mostly in lots of 400 or more pieces of the same pedal. A new spin off brand will make a same spec AXE FX III soon. They are currently having to change the software as the prototype uses pirated Fractal software, lol. Mooer is owned by one guy. His wife owns and runs Joyo. The analog Joyo is original but the digital is Mooer. I was told that Joyo is a family biz . So she was hands on before she married the Mooer guy. I have seen homemade videos of the last visit. The company that does all the Mercedes factories up with robots etc. did up Mooer. Everything about the company is total Hollywood. The gossip is the best part but I am not sure who might read this sooo...lol.
Great review and riffage Taylor! When I saw the thumbnail I thought you were revisiting the OG Ampero. There was a limited edition with similar finish. How you'd say it measures up against Ampero? Seems like you'll need to make a few comparison videos with other modelers soon.
So the big difference is in the way the amps dial in. The Ampero feels more like a post EQ when you are tweaking amp models, where as this feels more dynamic (for lack of a better word). The Ampero does have more effects and versatility, but this product is very young, who knows what future updates may hold.
Great content! Every your new video makes inspire to practice more and more! Very cool sound!!! And awesome looking guitar! I know that this question must have been asked a million times before but still may I make a try and ask how this magnificent guitar is called? I know that you told in this this, but may be my love for loud music has made my hearing so unsharp
Not bad! There was a notable volume difference on the Flamma cab, but that might just be me listening on a phone speaker lol Also got two EMG questions: 1. Do you have/know any good alternatives to the 707 beside the 81-7? 2. Are we still getting the volt mod short? Thanks for the content and your time! I know you got a lot going on in your schedule between family and UA-cam
Yeah, I think it's more of a perception because the flamma cab sounded a bit more scooped than my main cab. I try to volume match everything, always (doesn't always work). Oh snap, so I've actually been using the 24 volt mod in my Warrior. I completely forgot about it until now. I dont' notice a huge difference, but YES I will make that short. Thank you for the reminder! 💪
If you wanna stick with EMG, it seems a lot of people like the 57-7 over the 707. Might wanna check out the Mick Thomson Blackouts (I have the OGs and think they're worse than the 707/81-7).
Yes it can, but since the 15gr only has an input, you will not get to take advantage of all the built in amp and cab sim (I mean you do whatever you want, it will just sound weird) 💪
@TaylorDanley Thanks for replying, Taylor. So this unit is designed more or less to input into DAW software on a computer and out to powered speakers then, yes?
of all the budget modelers out there so far I'm still about the mooer preamp live. if that even counts as a modeler. I'm a full tube rig type guy BUT if I were to be forced to replace my evh el34 100 watt head, I would hands down choose the mooer preamp live. I already have all the pedals I could possibly need. just a solid preamp pedal would take me strait into fly rig territory. but at the end of the day, I just prefer lug around my half stack.
Something I've noticed about all of these budget friendly multi effects units is that they seem to have a very narrow frequency response when you use the internal cabinets. The difference between your poweramp power amp to Mesa cab versus the internal cab is ridiculous. How would you compensate for that ifor that if someone wanted this unit but didn't have the Budget to replicate a separate power amp and cab section? I imagine even coming out of a budget Practice amp you could get better tones than the internal ir gives you.
You could use a third party IR. Even the Helix's cabs aren't fantastic. Everyone I know uses them. Also, a DI box is helpful for correcting any impedance issues. You can also adjust the trim on your mixer if you are using one. Most DAWs have a trim function or gain plugin that will allow you to adjust volume without pushing your faders past unity gain. Very light compression (like 1.5:1 or 2:1 with a moderate attack and a fairly fast release) could help. You are right though. The discrepancy is rather large. It's really like night and day.
Hey man you obviously put in a lot of work to your videos and all that but I’d imagine most people who buy this thing are NOT going to be playing through a mic’d mesa cab.
@@TaylorDanley if I sounded like an A hole I apologize, If I had bought that unit I would really been pissed, I listened through a few different headphones trying to make sure I was correct in what I was hearing, hopefully they improve the sound
This sounds noticeably worse than other things you have tried out. I am giving this one a 3/10. The more I pay attention to this video.. the more this thing sounds terrible. It really sounds like a bad POD.

I was really impressed with the Flamma modulation pedal. Replaced 4 pedals on my board. If I was in a band, or touring, I would definitely get this!

This is my go to channel for gear demos that aren’t just some nondescript guy playing truck commercial music

Love the touchscreen interface.
Came for the amp modeling... stayed for the preset BALLLLLS 💪💪💪
Just would like to know what are the seemingly random large LED numbers displaying in the background?
Compare to the Donner arena 2000, which one is better?
Looks just like the original Ampero minus the three knobs below the screen.

I think it's a cool good sounding box. I am a bit confused by not being able to place time effects after the cabinet.

Is this stuff just rebranded ampero?
You can move the cab block anywhere in the chain
