    Great video. I differ with one point. I put my batteries into storage @ 3.75 volts. For that I use discharge function and have the discharge parameters set to 3.75. It does not over discharge the batteries.

    I’ve been using strictly balance charge to charge my batteries. Recently I’ve tried setting it to charge or fast charge, and it automatically stops at 4.17 Volts per cell. Then I finish it off with a balance charge. I’ve noticed it saves about 15-20 min on my 6000 6S. Any disadvantages to this?

      only disadvantage I could see is longevity. could degrade over the life

      As James said, in the regular charge or fast charge modes, the charger will stop when one of the cells reaches 4.2 volts. This could leave the other cells at something less than 4.2 volts which means they aren't fully charged. As long as you top them off using the balance mode, they'll be fine. Also, don't charge them faster than the 1C rate (4000mAH = 4 amps) unless the manufacturer says you can..

      I dont see any disatventage since balance charging at least with skyrc charges with max allowed current untill 1 cell reaches its max volt then switches to balancing to charge other cell till they reach max. My point is it shouldnt matter if you use fast charge or not its all about selected current for lipo healthiest current is 1c but most batteries can take safely up to 3c.

    @Motion Rc can i do storage charge whether the battery is used already or even after full charged and the next couple days im going out can i just go directly to balance charge before going out

    • @MotionRC
      @MotionRC  Рік тому

      you want to always storage charge when not in use...when it's stored. The charge it up before you use it

    For beginners? I disagree this charger has 2x 200W its for huge batteries. For beginners skyrc t200 is more than enough with 2x100W and less than half the price and more compact factor. D400 is great charger and skyrc as brand is very good quality but i belive for beginner its an overkill. Assuming you are flying 3s 2200mah lets say to charge it withing 20min you need 3c.
    means 3(cell) x 4.2(fully charged cell voltage) x 3x 2.2(1c amperage for this battery) = 83.16W assuming the battery needs max voltage all the time and it doesnt. Usually you charge batteries with 1 or 2 c so multiplicator would be smaller i took 3c cuz usually its the highest advised rating by battery producers for example gens. Assuming you charge 6s 5000mah this charger might make sense 6x4.2x3x5= it would require 378W to charge it with 3c. But assuming you are charging with 1c(means charging will take around 1 hour) its only 126W. My point is you should find charger that has enough power to cover your needs instead of paying for some overkill ;]

    I haven't see a lipo charger that can balance charge properly a battery. All my batteries are out of balance. I charge ALWAYS in balance charging and ALWAYS i use storage mode after every use of my batteries. So why these chargers doesn't charge properly the batteries in balance charging ?
    Don't tell me to charge the cells that are over charged or less charged than the others with the pin headers and jst connectors. This way is ballshits and is more work to do. I can't sit all day in front of a charger and wait like i cook food in the oven.
