    Wow, thanks so much for this video. I am currently building my first RC plane and am just testing the electrics. I've really struggled with the throttle and have been using other people's guides with no success. After spending all afternoon on it your super simple guide worked straight away!

    I'm not a lot into electric planes so I did not know this. And when I did try to calibrate, I did it wrong. So after pulling the plane apart and checking the connections and continuity checks 3 times I finally did a UA-cam search and found this. Very helpful.

How to set up thrust reverse as well

    Good video. Just some food for thought, Always set throttle cut in your transmitter, especially with propeller type planes. Also never reverse your throttle in your transmitter, if the propeller is spinning backwards. It is best to swap out a motor wire to the esc.

    • @MotionRC
      @MotionRC  4 роки тому +1

      Good point! but better than all that is removing the prop entirely before working on your transmitter.

    • @BDTennessee

    Good video, but you can support your argument by using a white meter to show before and after calibration. Of course, the prop would need to be attached for this so additional safety precautions would be needed.

    On a brushless speed controller . Do you allways leave it plugged into your received or do you unplug the 3 prongs after callibration . . Just ordered a brushless ESC but it's not a 2 in 1 like my old one was.. I'm wondering do I connect it into my receiver just for quick callibration then unplug it . Because I have to use that 3 prong spot for my steering servo. I'm new to RCS but I'm trying to convert a car to brushless .. I may just stick to brushless 2for1 receiver/ESC. Because this makes no sense to me lol can you use a basic ESC on a car with built in ESC/receiver. Sorry if that's a complicated questions . I know you guys have the knowledge on here

      and EDF is still just a motor and esc like any prop planes. The EDF is just the shroud the motor is encased in so an ESC calibration is still a good thing to do. For planes that use 2 escs/2 motors/2 batteries, same rules apply just try and plug them in quickly in secession, wait for the first beeps and bring the throttle down. They will sync together.
