Just as I was going to return my chinesium charger and get a good one from hobbyking, your e3 charger is back in stock and this vid pops up. Thanks so much.
A really great field charger/discharger is the ToolkitRC M8S. ~$50, with a display, can balance charge up to an 8s battery, (Li-Po, Li-Fe, Li-Ion, Ni-Mh, or Lead Acid)
I appreciate you making this video because I plan on buying a Jupiter and since I need a 3s Lipo for it to work I don’t want to be stupid and burn my house down.
Having run an RC car club for about a decade I've seen more lipo problems charging with 'lipo safety bags' than without. Cells will expand well before catching fire and if you can see that you can stop charging before it goes up. Bags are safer if it does go wrong, but mean that failure is more likely. That said its worth mentioning that in all those years I've only seen 4 proper lipo fires - 2 human error (wrong cell type selected) and 2 from accidental punctures.
I'm glad I watched some guides and realized, that a 1ah 30C won't power 2 fangs. Also I learned how to use my battery's safely. I hope I don't screw up that voltmeter placement to be good looking and providing me crucial information.
Hi love The Video i got the D2 and i use it for Charging my 6S Lipo, now i have also a 4S but The D2 Dosen’t have The same connector Size so i have to buy onother charger or There are some adaptor?
For that first charger, can you charge any liPo on that? I’ve got a similar charger and a 3S 2200 mAh 50c liPo battery and wondering if it’s safe to charge?
can we get an update with the venom pro charger included? it doesn't come with any sort of alarm, or charging enclosure. the USB is also pretty short, so having it attached to a laptop or on top of a computer tower is going to be common. do you have any thoughts?
Hello. Great topic. Question, I’m new to the hobby and I have a basic LiPo charger - Ultra Power UP4AC. I have both 1/18 and 1/24 WLtoys cars which use these tiny 2S LiPo’s in the 400-2200 mah range. My charger runs 1, 2 or 3 amps. For these smaller batteries below 1000 mah, do I charge with the 1 amp setting or do I need to upgrade my charger so I can charge lower amps? Thanks.
I heard your video but still lost, I changed my lipo battery with a Prodigy 610ez and I got a good charge the first time, at 97% and discharge it at 54% is that ok for storage ?
if you use a lipo for a little bit of time every day, say for a bit of target practice and drills, would it be better to storage charge it after the 3rd or 4th day? or can i keep plucking away safely at the battery until it’s time to recharge it?
Do you have a beginner’s guide for LIPO battery users who use it for Laegendary Triton brushed 1:20 scale & Laegenary Sonic brushless 1: 16 scale? I would really appreciate any help I can get.
When you’re battery is fully charged after charging do I leave the battery charging or do I disconnect and leave it aside until I’m gonna play? Or do I leave it plugged in the gun?
It's best practice after your battery is fully charged to unplug it from the charger and set it aside in a LiPo bag until it is time to use your blaster. Keeping a battery on a charger or in a blaster (especially one without a cutoff switch) is more likely to cause problems than storing it.
HI could you help at all? My new Zapper Lipo battery says 'over voltage' even after setting it to the correct specs. What am I doing wrong?! New to the hobby and dont want to kill my first battery, Could it be that the battery charger settings itself are wrong? Thanks in advance
I can’t find anything I’m looking for how to a charge a two wire just 1s lipo I have adapters thaat fit but do I need it to be like a 2s with est only battery I don’t understand I don’t wanna plug in and have a fire
Household Li-ion batteries run at a lower current, and have built-in control circuitry which theoretically makes them safer. Hobby-Grade LiPos run at a higher current draw and have no control circuitry, which is why we strongly recommend the use of LiPo Alarms.
At 13:07, even though you set the storage rate to 6a, once the charger started discharging it seems to top out at 0.8a…. Or am I missing something? (I just got an imax b6, and noticed my discharge rate is only around 0.6a) Related, if you set the “storage amps” at 6a, and your battery voltage had been LOWER than the end storage voltage, would that 6a setting risk charging the battery UP to storage at an amperage higher than the battery can handle?
The discharge rate is limited as a safety feature of the chargers to keep things from getting too hot. Any setting you make is the maximum possible if could go. In practice, the charger will do only as much as it determines is safe.
So it doesn't matter if the batter is at 25% or 75%, I still charge it the same way and the charger takes care of stopping when it reaches the maximum voltage right?
For the most part, yes. The more expensive chargers have other options, like storage charge, but they all charger similarly. Make sure you read the owners manual of your particular charger, though. Our knowledge doesn't compare to the people that actually built the product you're using.
After playing airsoft with my new 2s 2000mah lipo, one of the cells read around 4V, whilst the other one discharged to 2.8V. I’ve read that they should always discharge equally, and never below 3V. They both charge up to 4.2V using a balance charger. Is the battery broken and should I get rid of it, or is there a potential fix? Thanks
Would it be okay to charge a 850mah battery at 0.8 amps? This would barely be under 1c.. I'd rather not buy a new charger but I also don't want to screw anything up.
Ok my charger shows total and individual cell voltage....the manual says it will beep and stop charging automatically. I have 3s batts and for some reason it charges it pass 11.1 volts and doesn't beep...does that mean the charger is faulty "even though it's relatively new" or the battery total capacity is higher than it says?

Has anyone got the battery check lower cell voltage error on the turnigy accucell c150 charger? I got a turnigy 1.5 2s lipo about a week ago and am trying to get it to storage charge.
