Like your hardcore CGI, particle sims, motion tracking, 3d space projection, matte keying, even character vector animation. Hi. I was wondering if I could ask you what being in graphic design is like and what you do? I am trying to decide on what i should get my bachelor's degree in and I am torn between english(literature focus) and graphic design. I eventually want to get my masters in library science and someone suggested graphic design as a field I should study because it might be useful in being a librarian. But I am wondering what you do with graphic design and if it is right for me? You don't have to answer if you don't want to but I was just curious and don't know anyone who actually does graphic design.

Katie Wright Hi Katie, I’m a senior in a graphic design program. If you want to become a librarian I don’t think design is right for you. Most of my degree has been focused on branding, print, and web design. While we do study typography, in my experience it is much less about what the texts says and more about what it looks like. I was also torn between English and design but if you want to be a librarian, I would stick with English. That being said, it wouldn’t hurt to take a design class or two just to see how you like it! Hope this was helpful 😊

they told us not to use too many different fonts, they let us use at most 2 so it wouldn't be too messy or chaotic
They told us we couldn't warp the text by stretching it out and stuff cause according to them it's disrespectful to the original design of the typeface
They also tried to get us to restrict the amount of different colors we'd use so we'd stick to a color scheme
They told us not to use too many graphics that aren't text
They also told us to play with the values in the colors of the text and the size of the text to create visual hierarchy and such
A lot of restrictions for something that's supposed to be expressive
If you're curious to see the end result of the assignment, it's actually on my channel (but i don't want this to be a shameless plug so you absolutely don't have to watch it)

Fun fact for everyone reading, though: that's not why they drew chalk around the bodies. Notably, they didn't draw chalk around DEAD bodies; they just took photos of the dead. They drew chalk around the bodies of the people who were still alive so after they were taken to the hospital, the police still had positioning evidence to go back to.
