Angela Rayner: ‘Serious Investigation!’ As Police Investigate Multiple Allegations

- TalkTV's Kevin O'Sullivan and Alex Phillips react to news that police are now investigating multiple allegations against Angela Rayner.
It comes after The Sunday Times reported that her former aide said there was “no doubt in my mind that this was Ms Rayner’s family home” when he visited her at what she says was her husband’s address in 2014.
Police are investigating whether Labour’s deputy leader broke electoral law after Tory allegations that she may have given false information about her main residence a decade ago.
Ms Rayner has promised to resign if she is found to have committed a crime over the accusations, but said she “followed the rules at all times”.
Kevin says: "There are at least 11 detectives working on this. This is a serious investigation!"

He was being investigated for his actions in office, she is being investigated for nothing.

Multiple allegations? There are two. Living elsewhere and tax. The first you cannot be charged with one year after it occured. The other is handled by HMRC and if she hasn't paid it then she can pay it now without criminal conviction
When i was a kid i got the slipper, it only happened once and i learned from it. Sometimes i think maybe having a deterrent like that would stop a lot of todays indiscipline

Was she actually living in the council house when she applied to buy it? I'm assuming the 'right-to-buy' and sizeable discount is contingent on the tenant needing the house to live in.

Rayner is as guilty as hell. Her neighbours have said so, her personal aide has said so, her ex partner has said so and she, herself has said so on her social media accounts. It’s going to be interesting to see what the 15 police officers tasked with investigating her reveal in their report. It’s very much like beergate this.

Instead of banning categories of people from smoking, why not make smokers pay for any smoking related health problems in later years? Same for the fatties, pay for your self inflicted problems. Would save the NHS a fortune and leave our 'rights' intact.
