The test you did in Minecraft was very superficial, you need to remove the fps limiter, install the op and heavy shaders to see the performance. With f3 activated you can see all the information
Did you buy this or did they give it to you to evaluate? Also, you say in the beginning “it has overclocking potential” but you won’t get into to it to keep it simple. From what I have been told, and they state on their website - that overclocking is turned off. (Probably due you promoting RAM overclocking with the UM690, which they told me was a problem). Getting this up to 6000 or 6200 should exceed a GTX1650 performance, but no one seems to be offering 6200Mhz SODIMMS yet if overclocking is not possible. With the TB3 dock from Lenovo I had no issues so far... with a range of different devices.
@@tillscheller I have the CalDigit Element Hub. I am pretty certain which company, Minisforum or CalDigit, was at fault here.
@ETA PRIME Either do a stability review or the community expects Gamer Nexus to do it for you. Your choice.
i know it not thought of running on egpu. Do yous have the possibility to test it with an external gpu enlosure?😊 please
power consumption is too high for my taste. Really should do less than 6W idle for these types of machines.
Is this tailored to video editing? I rarely play games.
hope to see some testing/preview with egpu.
I just want them to make one with discreet gpu with a case like this
Hx99g
Would love to get me some of that DDR55 RAM! ;)
I'm waiting for the UM780 Pro as it's the same graphics processor but cheaper. Classic business model though, release the most expensive first
What's the difference?
If I wanted to run this off a monitor with a single USB c cable at 65W would I be able to bring down the TDP to stay in that range? What would that number be
Oh,yes ETA, crank up the power to as much as you get on this, and overclock everything to the max it can do on that 120 watt psu.. (cpu/gpu/ram as well)! 💪(I’d like to see the ram at 6000-6400mt, and the gpu clock at 3000mhz, at least even if the cpu stays the same as now, but why not send it full? Just for fun!And also the power pull and the temps! And also dedicate as much vram as possible to the gpu as you dare!
The questions is, what gonna advanced faster, cloud gaming or mini pcs. I guess in 10 years ppl dont gonna use any PC/Konsole at home anymore. Just a Client that can stream it.
please please please yuzu fps test on bayonetta 3 and totk
Can i use SSD nvme m.2 ADATA Legend 1 Tb PCIe Gen 4X4 in this mini pc?
pls recommend:
budget x86 Pocket PC ) preferably under 20wTDP) like Larkbox/NUCbox 7 with SCO / alt mode to work with NEXDOCK Touch ( compatible to operate with Power Bank) for office use. TYVM
Pleaaseee try higher wattages
What about noise? UM680 was really noisy, is this better?
With the GTR running a 7840HS, can you do a direct comparison between these two? 7840HS vs 7940HS. There is very little difference spec wise but the latter cost more (comparing for the Framework 16 preorder, lol). I pulled the grigger ln the 7840HS but wondering how much performance im leaving ln the table for $200 more.
I really love their UM690 (running at 6000Mhz), but the PR department leaves a lot to be desired. In my case, promising me an UM790 Pro eval unit and then “crickets” the past month. In any case, it really looks like it is worth buying at the $512 bare-bone “promo” price. Seems like a good fit with the upcoming 8.9” IPS screen “Gaming Lens” that mounts above a Sony DualSense or DualShock controller and connects to a miniPC with a single USB-C 3.1 or 4 with HDMI via thin USB-C cable.
