- Fixed my rpm idle issue!! First replaced the IAC which cost me $75 and only made my problem worse. Today I purchased a TPS sensor and removed my old one, replaced it and it completely fixed my problem!! Simple things like this that you can easily access, just do them yourself! save your money :) like and subscribe please and thank you :D
You solved my problem for my an '04 Jeep Liberty 3.7L, and saved me the hassle of of running down a rabbit hole. It was the TPS. Got the part from NAPA and no screws so had to use the old screws which are Loctite in place. You should run the engine to operating temp before attempting to remove the old screws because they are Loctited at the factory and you need the engine heat to soften the old gunk on the screws. I got the screws out and reattached the TPS with old screws and fresh blue Loctite. Thanks, keep up the good work.
I’m seeing your video 6 years later and like you said the truck accelerates on its own when you have an automatic transmission… I’ll replace the TPS and hopefully it will fix this issue (replaced IAC and connector, still the same but no more p0508)
Good job, most people don't understand the IAC and TPS work together, common mistake, good job though, you can test the TPS on the vehicle with a Meter or your scan tool saves a lot of time,it won't throw a code most of the time that's what makes it a pain,lol....
Well done , and very explicit . Thank you.
different seeing painted nails under the hood.
But it was waay cooool.😊
Tried getting my girls under the hood and the first time they got greasy it was over😁
nice video,well done😆🖒
great job Liz
I went through the same thing with my 4.7/v8. Will be replacing my tps this evening.
Holly Cow! A good nail job is super handy! Man I'm envious, I struggled with those connectors. LOL Great Job! It also sounds like your AC blower motor is going bad or hitting something
Omg I just seen this and lol'd thanks!
Thanks Liz
Thank you!!
Thank you.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Thank you Liz
Liked it .. Sweet i have the v8 no no issues. You can work on mine any time..
What side of that throttle paddle should it be on when you put it back together? Does it matter?
Those nails become handy to unlock the electric plug.
What did you use to clean up the tps?
Got the same thing going own with my 06 Dakota but mine is low idle and if don’t watch it it will stall own me just wondering how you came to the tps sensor
I can't find the IAC valve on my 2007 dodge dakota st, and no one has posted where it is :/
It’s just below the TPS
What is high rpm for this truck ? Have 07 Dakota 3.7. Only revs to 4k max
What code were you getting if you dint mind
Is this why my vehicle accelerates and decelerates in park? I'm having a issue with a 07
Great video thanks
Did it remain corrected?
I don't know where the idle control valve is located on my throttle body is weird if you can message me back so maybe let me know thank you
attractive when women know things...
Well in all fairness most women probably do "Know" more than us guys,, but it is indeed really attractive when they have accurate mechanical knowledge or know how.
Was it idling low like it was going to stalling?
Yeah rpm would go way up then just drop out of no where.
How much did u pay for replacement parts tps
Maybe 20-30 I cant remember but somewhere around that
@@elizabethmurphy6044 ok thank you for the info😊
Was it throwing a code I think I have same problem
Yes it was
Did you ever fix the problem?
It is a Dodge ram pickup 2007
Next time pls show the box part number + $
Hey can I call you ? I’m having the same problems.
Smooth
Hey l ran out of gas in my 2001 dodge dakota 4.7 magnum. Put gas in it and it wouldn't stay crunk. The RPM would drop and truck would shut down. Put a brand new fuel pump on it. Still won't start . You think my problem is the IAC????
Anthony Harper
Hey man I am having the same problems did u fix yours?
I would check the fuel filter as well. You run out of gas it will pull the crap from bottom of tank.
For once there's a girl that automobiles
Girls I know don't wanna get dirty and do makeup and wear skirts and have highlights and curls in their hair
Does it matter which terminal you unhook? The positive or the negative, is one better (safer) than the other?
Its actually best to remove both. This limits the possibility of accidentally creating a circuit .
Negative has less spark
Just remove the negative. Electrons travel from the negative terminal not the positive.
