Sir in this video our retinoscope streat for correction of cylinder is 90 degree .. We put cylinder at 180 axis or at 90 axis please guide me. and in final prescriptiom you write -2 00/-1.00*90 while our streat is 90 i think here axis should be 180 in prescription
First of all, You are confusing with retinoscopic cross with retinoscopic neutralization. During retinoscopy only remember about axis don't try to think where the power is... When the reflex becomes parallel with streak we call it axis and to neutralize this axis remember you have to place the axis of trial lens where streak and relfex is parallel, power is already distributed 90 apart from the axis in the trial lens. You don't need to change the axis by 90 again. If still you are confused go through the optics of cylinder lens. Or start doing retinoscopy with this video (with these 3 simple steps) by the time you will understand the mechanism. Thank you, Samir Sutradhar
When the retinoscope streak it vertically so we neutralized the horizontal meridian. Exp when streak of retino it 90 meridian and then we swipe retino right and left direction mean horizontal movements so we mention power in horizontal meridian which we neutralized
You can neutralize any meridian with cyl trial lens.. In this technique, if you choose horizontal as Spherical meridian then you can neutralize horizontal meridian with a Spherical Trial lens and vertical meridian with a cyl trial lens.
