    I really like the heavy Channels on this thing and with this amp there’s so much tones you can get. This thing has everything I want 🤘

      It's such a cool amp for someone who needs a load of tones without a lot of gear. With the built in effects, boost and channels you pretty much have anything you need.

      Thanks for checking the video out. I love this amp. I’ve used it loads for other videos too and gigs. It’s a fantastic sounding amp.

    Most in depth demo on this amp I’ve seen, great demo 👍
    I have the tube brother to this amp…. The Grandmeister 40 deluxe. Tubes are done on it 🙁
    Had a chance to try this out at a music store and great cleans and metal tones. Also played a blackstar silver line, PRS mt15, 6505 mh and really preferred the Hughes and kettner Blackspirit 200.
    put an order in for this bad boy 🤘 can’t wait

    Well my Spirit of Vintage was watching big brother show off. **chuckle** I really love what H&K has to offer for sure. Covers all the bases it seems and the price is decent as well. Tube amps aren't going anywhere......... Oh that Vola! Nice demo!

    • @LeighFugeGuitar

      How are you getting along with your Spirit of Vintage now? Are you enjoying it? H&K are making some killer stuff right now and so versatile.
      I agree, I don't think tube amps will go anywhere, but amps like this do make me wonder how much longer it's going to be convenient to take big heavy tube amps to gigs.
      I love the Vola too! Can't put it down! haha

      @@LeighFugeGuitar H&K are doing a fine job. I love my SoV! Does what I want and is small. I think the days of the big ole cab is achieving dinosaur ranking but that tube head will morph into something easier to haul no doubt. Everything continues to evolve I think. Did I mention, oh that Vola!? later

    Don't you noticed that the crunch chanel is like a clean one with parallel overdrive? Crunch tones is where i usually live on my rythm guitars and i'm feeling like there is something wrong with that tone in the BS200... like the frecuencies aren't even, the treble is too much in your face and the bass is lost on the background fizz... Like a guitar pluged to a mixing table with diming the gain :(

    Great Demo and playing. Thanks for the detailed review. A few questions: 1. Can this be plugged directly into the back of Yamaha HS5/ KRK Rokit G4 Studio Monitors instead of a cabinet? 2. As I understand, for recording into Logic Pro X, the Red Box out has to be taken to an audio interface right? 3. Can we load IR's or disable the internal cabinets and use IR's while recording? 4. I don't play live so looking at it as a home studio recording unit. Wonder if this would replace the Line 6 Helix Rack in the studio. Any thoughts on that? Thanks.

    I'm really tempted to sell my current amp and pick one of these up. Do you think there's much of a difference between the head and floor versions? I don't want to spend another $200 on a giant plastic midi controller, I suppose you should be able to use a different midi controller to switch channels yeah?

    • @LeighFugeGuitar
      @LeighFugeGuitar  2 роки тому +1

      Hey. thanks for checking the video out.
      As far as tone goes, no, there's no difference at all. The floor version can also power a cab, or run off it's built in cab sim too, just like the head. The Black Spirit floor unit is basically a combination of the head and the H&K midi footswitch for the head. The actual MIDI footswitch I have for the head is made from metal, not plastic, so it's super heavy duty, not sure if the floor unit is made from the same, but I'd assume it was.
      You could use another MIDI controller with the head if you wanted, but the H&K one is set up with channel switches and buttons for the effects and boost.

      The cleans are pretty versatile, a Strat style
      Clean is often the reference point for most people. Most players lean towards that I think.

      Thank you. I cant test it myself (corona etc) and kind of have to trust 80% on vids... I apologize for the comparison, but there is an amp that absolutely drives me nuts... The vox mv50 Boutique... Yes.. This little thing has the best clean to low mid gain sound ive heard in a while. I wish the spirit had a more tube sound, really would like to have it but i cant hear it in any of those vid tests..

    im considering buying this or the blackstar silverline head... i really need a suggestion between those two... please helppp

    • @LeighFugeGuitar
      @LeighFugeGuitar  2 роки тому

      Both are awesome. They both give you a huge range of sounds. The Blackstar Silverline has more accurate tube type simulations because you can re-create different power amps. The Black Spirit 200 has way more gain and I think the effects are slightly better... but honestly you can't go wrong with either. The Silverline stuff is some of my favourite non-valve amps.

    Is it the same set up as the 200 floor amp??? Or is there a difference and worth getting as well???

    • @LeighFugeGuitar
      @LeighFugeGuitar  2 роки тому +1

      Hey David, it's exactly the same, the only difference is the form of it. You can pair the head with the matching footswitch, or buy the floor unit. Both have all the same sounds and you can drive cabs with both of them.

      @@LeighFugeGuitar Yes, and then the response is a mystery to me. Pressing it or a tap no L.E.D until a few more times? At that point not sure where am at. The button on my other amps the moment I press it starts the count and then the second press all done. Hopefully will get better and don't really want another project opening the pedal up. Never a reply from H&K?

    Had that amp, loved the clean and crunch but nothing more. Effects are subpar, higher gain just does not sound right to my ears. Sold it and got me a Spirit of Vintage. That amp has everything I liked about the BS 200. And still enough power for playing live.

    • @LeighFugeGuitar
      @LeighFugeGuitar  3 роки тому +2

      The cleans and crunch tones are great. I like it right up to getting some 80s rock sounds. It can do a lot of gain, but personally for me, I just don't enjoy high gain so that's a tone I won't get much use out of.
      The Spirit of Vintage is amazing. I shot a demo of that before it came out a few months ago and I loved it! I liked all the Spirit Nano line, but the Vintage was my favourite.

    Do speakers come with these amps?

    • @LeighFugeGuitar
      @LeighFugeGuitar  2 роки тому

      The one in this video doesn't. You'd have to buy a separate speaker to pair with the amp, if you buy the head version like this video, but, Hughes and Kettner also so a 1x12 combo version of this amp which does have a speaker.
