Thank for making this vid I’ve been looking to get a amp head and I wanted to something for black and death metal and I was looking at this and now ik im getting it
I want that deep deathmetal sound. Ever local store tried to sell me expensive junk not capable of what I want. This is a great video to demonstrate the sound. You sold an amp for for them. I can only imagine how many people walk into a guitar store and leave with the wrong equip or decide to buy nothing because everyone think they want to play classic rock.
Its a great demo.. I have bs 200 floor and hardly disagree that it is not obvious tonuse the controls, ALTHOUGH do agree that ut takes time to learn how each rect... Treble knob scoops the mids on Uktra, Presence and Resonance knobs together with Sag are HUGE on iverall tone, add 4 channels and a boost and tgats some headspinning variance.. Great showcase iofthe amp and starting point to new owners
Wow man great job killer playing and for me good showcase of this amps versatility. Non metal heads wouldn't get it. The lead channel sounds really tight and the ultra seems more loose and more sagging. Anyway you just sold an amp for H n K 🤘 Metal on
H&K sometimes make products that require a lot of trial and error, but I feel like this thing wouldn't be too much trouble to get working good. I would legit pick this up for recording, if I didn't already have a 5150... Anyway, good stuff, Pete. Keep 'em coming.
I don't really like metal music. I like blues and rock. I only came across this video while researching the black spirit 200. But what should I say. I just bought the Black Spirit now. And Pete did so well and it sounds so cool that I became a patron straight away and bought his tabs. Now I'm going to try his tabs with my new amp. Greetins from Hamburg, Germany. :-)
@@peteplaysmusic may i ask you something? I want to get an all in one metal silent recording solution and am debating this or the helix lt. If you could only have one device to do all your recordings with ( no plugins) what would you chose ?
Hi Pete, great video, love the tones you archived. Do you by any chance have a '.bsmemory' file that is availbel to load into the Black Spirit 200 iOS app or is it simply a case of screen shot of each and then dialling them in. Great work.. Thanks in advance

Cliff Foster this amp or a kemper hmm 🤔
Yes to the Sum 41 comment! That's the first thing I thought when I heard that!
I wanna steal the industrial riff so badly
@@anewlevel7798 considering that was the pretender by foo fighters.
Edit: but I'm not sure
@@sargentd6780 I think 400 other people already did, so hey, why not.
The "stoner" part sounds more kinda "modern groove" to me. Still pretty cool amp
Tone is really stoner tho... (s-tone-r)
It’s children of the grave almost identical
69 likes nice
Metalcore is cool too. His riffs, mmm
Becket de Jesús Gómez Guzmán Sounded like Arch Enemy for me
I really like that stoner and industrial metal tone. Loved the sum 41 influence on the pop-punk riff too
He played the pretender by foo fighters
Was thinking the same thing, reminded me of NOOTS! 😁
I admire your skill of making great riffs, especially that death metal riff, damn!
Thanks! :)
I should thank you. You're my inspiration to play more guitar.
I really like the metalcore riff, it sums up the genre perfectly
Thank for making this vid I’ve been looking to get a amp head and I wanted to something for black and death metal and I was looking at this and now ik im getting it
Your demo riffs are the best, man.

Yes Sum41 influence ! Musically they are totally underestimated.
Great video !
Nice playing mate.
They are great little amps, we get loads of guys using them. Love the riffs too!
WGS Reaper, Retro, ET65, Invader shootout! (8ohm,)👍
Man you always write some of the best riffs. You need to make a big compilation of all your riffs in one video so I can put it on repeat!
Industrial, death, and thrash sound really fucking heavy. All 3 of my fav genres are given awsome light!
Gotta make some videos on these Riffs they sound great...
I can totally hear Trivium's Rain influence in there
The Stoner one was giving me strong Fu Manchu vibes! Amazing Pete 🤘🏻
sick tones! Very authentic for each style
Dude that pop punk section was badass!!!!
Brilliant playing

Damn! I love hearing your sound man
Nice playing dude🤘
Really dug the metalcore riffs and tone. Great playing and tones all around man
Thanks! :)
Groovy riffs, man! Well done!
Nice little Sum 41 homage 😁 always was my favorite of the pop punk bands.
Love the honest review. That amp can kick out some pretty good tones as well
Thanks! :)
What a solid amplifier. All sounds great
Wow this amp sounds phenomenal.
New place's looking good Pete! Great video as always \m/
Loving that early trivium influence on the metalcore :)
Yeah I'm hearing subtle references to Ascendancy here 🧐
nah, amon amarth
Stoner metal gets me every time! Your riffs are always great dude!🤘🏽
Damn that amp can anything! 🤘
Yay for Pop Punk!
Stoner and industrial sounded Great as well.
I have the H and K triamp and that amp has every tone possible for all genres. Super fun to play.
Great playing Pete!
awesome amp and riffs!
i love your work so much i love your video
H&k amps are amazing.I'm using Tubemeister 36,I like its clean and crunch tone.
that pop punk riff killed me, gorgeous ! Loved your video!
Loved the black metal one. \m/
Cool vid, Pete! Nice examples of the metal genres!
Great vid Pete. Stellar playing as always 🤘
Don’t think we don’t hear that demanufacture influence in your “industrial metal”. Sick playing as always
That thrash riff is soooooo good
Love to have that Industrial Metal riff Tab'd out. Thanks Pete.
the first riff made me think of children of the grave, awesome riffing rock on! \m/
Wow super versatile amp!
Super awesome amp ❤️🔥
Great job, great vid.
This Metalcore part was so Amon Amarth like. Great band. 20 riffs in Amon Amarth's style, maybe? :-)
Pirsuit of vikings maybe
wut? it sounded so Rose of Sharyn riff by KSE....the heck man
For me it sounded like Asking Alexandria during their Stand up and scream days :/
Ironically
it was like raise hour horns 2.0
Loving that Industrial metal, sir. 😍
Thanks! :)
The beginning of the riff in 3:57 reminded me of a riff in a song by the Finnish metal band Stam1na, called "Viisi laukausta päähän". Great video :)
3:36 Reminds me of "Still Waiting" or "No Reason" by Sum 41.
Cuz Pete is a huge SUM41 fan!
Same!
We both need to get a life David
What I really need to see is someone do a melodic death metal style playthrough of one of these amps in C standard .
I just wish I had an ounce of your talent pete 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼

Sounds like this amp can do pretty much whatever you need!

Awesome! Thanks for becoming a Patron and enjoy the Tabs :)
Big fan Pete!😁🙋🙋love your works.! Keep it up.🔥🔥 Just the type of guitarist i always dreamt to watch and learn.😊
Love the sound of the amp, I want one now lol
Pretty awesome how many sub categories there are under this beautiful genre
Love the new video approach 😉😈
That industrial metal riff though!
Yeah man it's basically Demanufacture by Fear Factory
no way that black spirit 200 making all those tones
The "Black Metal" set up totally nails "Immortal" tone
Could use an overdrive/EQ in front to boost the mids for extra chugga-chugga.
Metalcore in every form is just dope.
Pete remanufactured Demanufacture
Haha
I don't know about anyone else, but imma need a full version of that Black Metal one
The metalcore one sounded so nice :)
That pop punk part was awesome, it reminded me a lot of sum 41.
3:58 I really thought you were covering Like Light to the Flies by Trivium for a second. Lol
Skywalker thought I was the only one
Skywalker it was probably based on Trivium because I heard it to but you know UA-cam’s demonetization system is ruthless
I heard parts of 'Rain' in the prechorus and chorus
@@matthammond3563 definetly there are parts of Rain in there
I thought the same thing!!
5:24 Whitesnake - "Shut Up & Kiss Me". Love it!!
Pretty good amp. You should do a comparison with WGS reaper, retro, et65 and invaders 👍
i want a long version of the metalcore part!!!
sounds great
Wow if that's only the amp that's amazing
3:58 metalcore sounds like Rose of Sharyn by Killswitch Engage
Sounds like six by all that remains
Sounds like any average mc song to me.
well no shit, a bunch of metalcore songs sounding similar to a metalcore riff
sounds like metalcore :d
This is the most versatile head I’ve heard since the VHT Deliverance back in 07
I didnt know Trivium’s Ascendancy was metal core, but I love it
The Pop Punk part reminds me of "Rusted From The Rain" by Billy Talent. I dig it.
Pete sometimes I just freaking love your playing. BTW that's skate punk not pop punk, and it was wicked.
So ive had a few different Hughes and kettner tubemeister amps and after hearing this one id say most of them have extremely similar tones
Thats sick
New place, or just different camera setup?
My new studio! :)
@@peteplaysmusic Awesome! Great video BTW, love your honesty - I know the pressure that can come from companies when reviewing their gear!
The Death Metal Sound had a very “death Walking terror” feel
This amp sounds so damned good lol. I’m torn between this and the Laney Ironheart
Fuck, that death metal part is a RIFF! I just started instinctively headbanging.
The black metal part reminds me of old school immortal
this is so good !
Thanks! :)
@@peteplaysmusic may i ask you something?

The metalcore bit sounded a lot like Gunshot to the head of Trepidation by Trivium!
It almost sounded like As I Lay Dying with the melodies and riffs in my mind.
4:16 reminds me trivium's Rain
@@Solod49 That whole section just sounds like Ascendancy in a nutshell!
Killswitch engage hope is and trivium rain
Classic Rock sounds a lot like Airbourne, and damn I love it
Hi Pete, great video, love the tones you archived. Do you by any chance have a '.bsmemory' file that is availbel to load into the Black Spirit 200 iOS app or is it simply a case of screen shot of each and then dialling them in. Great work.. Thanks in advance
The guitar is so fckn beautiful... Uff
It definitely has the thrash sound. I think a lot of that is owed to the Chapman as well.
You should add the settings you used for your metal zone video too, I’m still curious about them
3:16 I like it too :) but the thrash was my fave :)
I really don’t know why they don’t push this amp more. It’s a great solid state amp with a ton of features!
And the app is still in test flight on the apple store. The beta thing. Anyone can get it, but it's slightly convoluted for now
