First Day in San Francisco! Is the Ferry Building all the hype?

This is our first time in San Francisco from South Florida! Our first stop was at the Ferry Building - these are where all the piers are. I heard this was a most visit spot....
There are tons of restaurants on the "Food hall" along with shopping for merch etc. We decided to dine at Lunette - Cambodian cuisine. We got a vegetarian dish and it was GOOOOOOOOOD! Highly recommended. We then toured the pier areas and the temperature dropped to around 55-60 and YES, cold for us. The ferry also takes you to other routes such as Alcatraz Island.
There’s a towering new statue between the Ferry Building and Pier 1 of a nine-foot-tall woman dressed in jogging apparel, and the work “As Sounds Turn to Noise" will be there on loan from a gallery in Los Angeles for the next six months. There's hardly any statues of women in San Francisco so this a must visit.
We then stopped at Trader Joes to grab water/snacks on our way to the AirBB located in Vallejo. We chose Vallejo because its on the middle of San Fran and Napa Valley - which is our next stop.
