Absolutely priceless, Sir Les took debauchery to stratospheric heights, or should that be depths!. The late brilliant Barry Humphries will not only be remembered for Dame Edna but also for this hilarious outrageous character.
RIP Barry Humphries (February 17, 1934 - April 22, 2023), aged 89 And RIP Sir Michael Parkinson (March 28, 1935 - August 16, 2023), aged 88 You both will be remembered as legends.
Think his funniest line was in the Willesee interview 1981. Barry says Joan Collins loves her perfume. " you will never know what she puts behind her ears to attract the men" Pause "her ankles"
Oh Gawd, He hailed my cab at cotham & glenferrie rds couple o years ago, I didn’t recognize him, I just saw this dapper old gent with a cravat coming towards me hand outstretched, he hops in says take me to South Yarra, he tried to make small talk, but I was at end of the shift & not very talkative, he seemed a bit peeved almost that he wasn’t recognised. It only clicked when I dropped him off at the hotel, & other fares started to approach as he was getting out, I heard them say “that’s Barry Humphries!” I was a bit wasted though, I probably would have recognised Keith Richards.
You have met the wrong Australians. I knew a few serving at the Australian High Commission in Islamabad and some of them were not too far off. Great company.
Not only Australia’s finest but the worlds. This guys genius is unmatched in my opinion. Are you with me? No worries 😉
I concur, he is brilliant!!
RUBBISH, Patterson is an eyesore and a bloody pest!
@@garynewton1263 yes an eyesore and a bloody pest. That he is. And the funniest pest I have ever seen 👍
@@kaycamille1544 ..................ok, each to their own.
I just hope people overseas don't think this guy is representative of typical Aust men.
@@garynewton1263 😂😂😂😂
I can watch Les all night
Surely one of the greatest comedic characters of all time
A great comedian ,Barry Humphries, may have passed, but we will never forget his talent pure brilliantance. RIP Les P.

And
RIP Sir Michael Parkinson (March 28, 1935 - August 16, 2023), aged 88
You both will be remembered as legends.
The best parts are the shots of Barry in the audience finding the performance boring while his character is on stage is beautiful
What makes a good comedian…he doesn’t have to open his mouth to make you laugh ..one off was Barry
Shoving it right up the arse of the PC crowd. Bravo Les, keep on banging away!!!
Grandfather will never be dead whilst Sir Les graces our screens.
RIP Barry. A one off!
Crying, the more you watch, the better it gets
Sir Les always gave me enormous Belly Laughs. Barry, you are sadly missed, Sir
He’s just pure brilliance!
That he / she ever got to these heights despite the in your face humour... amazing. I love his humour!
Australia's greatest comic creation.
The finest statesman's ever to represent Australia. Sir Les had no peer...he made you proud to be Australian 😊
76 yrs old and still singing and dancing like hat, incredible!
He's a pretty good dancer. A man of many talents, a, true Australian icon.
Probably the most cultured Australian export in history. More cultured than a Queensland Camembert
Think his funniest line was in the Willesee interview 1981.
Barry says Joan Collins loves her perfume.
" you will never know what she puts behind her ears to attract the men"
Pause
"her ankles"
Bloody brilliant mate watched myself classic.... spitting me KFC out with that one....needed a lot more of Les on TV....
Thanks for the uploads of Barry Humphries
Thank you Barry. Sorry, Sir Les. You were bloody marvelous.
Love that song and Les’s dancing:-)
You can tell Parky just loved him
I was never very sure of Dame Edna. But with Sir Les Patterdon you always knew where you stood.
I for one miss him!
HYSTERICAL ....i remember hinm at the palladium when his arms grew
Fan bloody tastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done extremely funny 🤣🤣
From an affair of state. Crikey, he summed up the world how it was in the 60's and 70's in reality.
Pretty much sums up Australian man perfectly.... to this day.
Rip Barry , comic genius.
Marvellous and genius
The best. Simply the best.
comic genius.for sure 😂
Hi There. I'm just uploading the Dame Edna portion of this interview as we speak. Enjoy!
Great reference to the great Clive James...
Brilliant
A true genius.
Pure genius.
Bloody legend. 😂😂😂👍
Laugh a minute...superb..
Did you ever see when Sir Les opened the Tate Modern (which I think was live on BBC1)? That was hilarious.
Them bloody shoes!
Bravo
Love him ❤️ 😂😂
Got to feel sorry for Barry Humphries in the audience.
No worries, lol love him
I agree 100%

Barry Humphries at 2.21
The best
Dont make them like that any more brilliant he just made you laugh
They must be pissing themselves laughing in Heaven now!
Terminally irreverent.....thanx Barry......
I meant Sir Les Patterson!
A Great Comedian of the time, who was that arse in the crowd not liking Sir les? falling asleep was that an actor i didn't get that jokster
Er, just in case you are being serious, that was him.
wasnt this live? Wonder how they cut Barry in? @@Design_no
the PC brigade will ban there vids soon make the most of them thank fuck I.m coming to the end of my life and not just beginning
Who's the guy in the crowd they cut to occasionally?
Barry Humphries
"Showtunes" Patterson.
😅 England lol him more 😮
Sometime he acts and sings like the bloke who does that Lady Average woman.
Haha. Same person
I prefer Everage, Sandy stone and Phil Philby personally. Patterson irritates me and is not my idea of a genuine Australian.
Really, Les Paterson wasn't meant to project an image of a genuine Australian.. just humour & entertainment .
@@iandibley8032 Terrible, however it fits his demographic. That place is a dirty ghetto with no class so it makes sense.

@@DavidRolls-vh1zp Not too far off what? Being dirty feral slobs?
sydney is where you'll find most of the garbage in Australia. Also in adelaide.
You clearly have not met any genuine Australians.
